The technician looked at my lock (basic knob, not a deadbolt) and told me it would be $138, plus the $19 service fee. I relayed the pricing I had been quoted and asked about the higher fee. I was told that "$48 was for a bathroom lock." He proceeded to unlock the door within about 3 minutes, so it seems the pricing is way underquoted, and even a pretty simply lock will run you a lot more than the minimum. I expected a little higher pricing since it was in the early evening, but a three minute job hardly seemed to warrant such an upcharge. He then cut the steering wheel lock off for me, poured the gas that I brought into the tank for me, checked the tire pressure, and tried to push it out while I drove. This was the only location that was able to assist in the kind of key I was looking to be made. Took me almost a year to finally bring the broken key down and both the receptionist and Russ both remembered me.
