The painters did little to no prep work (scraping, covering, pressure washing, etc.) prior to painting. They painted the ground, the rocks, our flower beds, hose bibs, etc.. midway through the project they randomly told us they were no longer going to paint our back deck. When we asked them to be more conscientious and considerate of our property, we got a bunch of attitude and aggression from both the painters and their manager Dave. When we brought up our issues to the owner, Matthew, we got the same angry/aggressive response as if we were in the wrong for speaking up. I don't know too many companies that stay in business by bullying and gaslighting their customers, but these guys are certainly trying!

We met some great people and the best were Zebra Landscapes and Manzanita Landscapes for what's turned out to be an enormous undertaking. But from the beginning Nethan was patient, an excellent listener, responsive, knowledgeable, confident, understanding and competent. He made many visits over many months to earn our confidence and our business. Work began three weeks ago at the very end of October 2023. Work will finish in 2-3 weeks. Includes turf, pavers, spa, Gazebo, huge trees, irrigation, massive lighting, putting green, campground for grandkids, fire features, extensive fencing, huge amounts of fill and dirt and much more. The house is 100 years old and has been added onto many times. Quite the mess. We went over our options and budget and came to a solution that fit our needs. Ultimately, we had Herb gut the kitchen, open up a few things and replace the flooring in the entire house. We only had a couple items that were "uppers" that were minimal in cost that were actually improvements that we decided to do after the fact. So he stuck to his original estimate with the exceptions of the improvements, and he was able to reallocate some funds to do another upgrade. He was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to text and calls. I do not live in the area and felt comfortable leaving things to Herb, his kids and team of workers.

Not a good experience to-date. Garage floor epoxy has peeled off several times in multiple areas…read moresince application in 2021and tracks a mess into home. GF blames concrete moisture (which they measured before initial application with no mention of issues), but no problems with neighbors who had concrete ground and prepped before application. I have reapproved paying GF another 2K for repair in March 2026, but am told they are too busy on another job to even schedule as of 7/2026. Good luck with your job if you hire GF.
