This review is more so feedback for the company and the structure, this location has very friendly…read morestaff. The pay incentive doesn't work for everyone. The incentive off the bat is really great when you get like $800 for 8 visits or something, but what isn't relayed right away is that you have a certain amount of time to get those visits in and you can only do 2 visits a week and must have at least 2 days in between AND weeks run Monday through Sunday. SO... needless to say it isn't simple to schedule if you have other competing properties (I.e family/kid obligations and a FT job with non consistent hrs/rotating days.) Then also the incentive drops pretty drastically in half but with a higher incentive on your second visit which makes no sense to me. So it really didn't make it worth it unless you can get there 2 times in a week; which already mentioned can be tough to schedule. Then the pay structure isn't as fair either with individuals who have to give more (I.e. my donation is typically around 890 but saw people as low as 580... so they're getting the same for less time. Also a few times where the staff would help someone out of order and I'd have to wait longer... or by some odd luck I also had blood leaking from my injection site and I'd have to switch arms and extend time even more to get fixed... my last visit there took nearly 2 hours (and I was 20 min late for work) so that was the point I decided it was no longer worth it... If you're in school or working part time and have more flexibility might be worth it; otherwise beware that it isn't as easy as they make it seem.

The lady who is typically a nurse but worked front desk today was incredibly rude to both me, my…read morefriend, and the other workers. I felt very uncomfortable and attacked when speaking with her. It made me genuinely not want to come back to this location. I CANNOT stress this enough she was the rudest customer service agent and it truly ruined my day. The only reason I'd ever return here is to see what her name is to be able to properly report her. Do NOT come here unless you want to waste 3 hours of your time dealing with an absolute karen.

I booked the class via phone, the CSR was really helpful and efficient in booking the class and providing the information about the course. After paying and confirming my info she said I would get a receipt email and another with access info into the account since there is the online class portion that must be completed before going in person for the second half. I did get the receipt but not the account info, I reached out to their online CSR, they sent a reset password email to help access the account. The online class is pretty informative and can take anywhere from 3-4 hours to complete. There are seven modules in total. For the in person class, it is recommended that you show up 15 minutes before to check in and bring the email or print the proof of your online completed class. The instructor was very helpful and taught efficiently to help deepen one's knowledge and put into practice what one has learned from the online portion. The class was 2.15 hours and went by quickly. Highly would recommend whether it is for work purposes or in general for being prepared for emergencies. Also it's fun to do it with a family member or friend so you can be partners :)

The location is right off of Alpine behind Target and has easy parking. There is also a bus stop right there. When you go for your first time, plan on spending up to three hours there but after that, it is usually around an hour from arrival til leaving. You can go twice a week. They have an app that makes it very easy to schedule appointments and to see your earnings pile up!

You could be the only person standing in line and still have a 10+ minute wait because they only have one or maybe if you're lucky two people working up front. Once you get past the seemingly unmotivated front workers where you now have to get your own card because they're too lazy to walk a few feet back to grab a card for you, you get to sit in the donation chair for another 10+ minutes because they either don't staff enough people there either or the workers are dragging their feet with no sense of urgency. I normally donate in Kentwood but I moved to Muskegon so I thought going here would save me 20 minutes of driving every time I donated but not at all. I spend at least that amount of time waiting because they're slow.

I'm…read moreexcited to share about BioLife, a plasma donation center where your donation can help save lives. A friend of mine has been donating plasma for awhile and let me know BioLife was doing a bonus in October - $950 if you do 8 donations in 30 days. Unfortunately I wasn't able to sign up in time, but the same bonus is still happening in November. Payment comes on a prepaid Mastercard "debit" card. You can use this card like most debit cards, or you can withdraw cash at participating ATMs or deposit the money into your bank account. You can register for an account online and sign up for an appointment. Your first appointment is long because they register you, screen you for donation, have you answer a really long questionnaire, then review the questions and get a physical exam. I ended up being there for 2+ hours on my first visit. The screening process is pretty easy, you can't be visibly ill (or actually sick), they prick your finger to test your blood for protein and iron levels, they weigh you to see how much plasma you can donate, and they take your temperature and blood pressure. You have to have at least two "good" veins in order to donate. I'd never donated plasma before but it was a pretty easy process. The needle they use is pretty big, but as someone who doesn't really like needles, it wasn't too bad. I thought I might be able to get some work done while I was there, but you really can't do much because you have to keep your arm still and straight, and you have to squeeze your hand or a stress ball on and off throughout the whole procedure. They have wifi so you can scroll your phone or watch shows etc. All the employees I encountered at this facility were very professional and kind. It's cool to be able to help others in this way, as well as make some extra cash.
