Amazing friendly staff and a comfortable environment for donating... coming here makes giving blood…read moreas enjoyable of an experience as it can possibly be. If you can spare the time, platelet donations help make the donation go even further - I just started into that and it gives me some extra time to catch up on the reading I try to do otherwise but inevitable run out of time. It usually takes me between 90-120 minutes. Even whole blood donations are importantly for the community - anything you can give makes a huge difference for those in need.

The staff was cordial when checking in. However once I began to donate, the techs spent the entire time interacting with each other, behind my head, giving me no feedback. I felt like an inconvenience. I have never bled out after donating, having given a few gallons over the years, but did this time. Blood was on my arm, floor, table, etc. It took a bit while I had my arm raised with pressure until clean up was begun. Areas of blood were cleaned first, but beyond my arm, nothing on me was cleaned or checked. I found blood on my clothes when I returned home. Again, I felt like an inconvenience. No apologies were made. It appears that Versiti does not desire feedback as I have never been contacted post donation with any type of a survey. If you desire donors, I could give you a few suggestions. It appears that Versiti is in need of a transfusion in professionalism.

It's #ThankYouThursday! A time to share about businesses we're thankful for here on Yelp. I'm…read moreexcited to share about BioLife, a plasma donation center where your donation can help save lives. A friend of mine has been donating plasma for awhile and let me know BioLife was doing a bonus in October - $950 if you do 8 donations in 30 days. Unfortunately I wasn't able to sign up in time, but the same bonus is still happening in November. Payment comes on a prepaid Mastercard "debit" card. You can use this card like most debit cards, or you can withdraw cash at participating ATMs or deposit the money into your bank account. You can register for an account online and sign up for an appointment. Your first appointment is long because they register you, screen you for donation, have you answer a really long questionnaire, then review the questions and get a physical exam. I ended up being there for 2+ hours on my first visit. The screening process is pretty easy, you can't be visibly ill (or actually sick), they prick your finger to test your blood for protein and iron levels, they weigh you to see how much plasma you can donate, and they take your temperature and blood pressure. You have to have at least two "good" veins in order to donate. I'd never donated plasma before but it was a pretty easy process. The needle they use is pretty big, but as someone who doesn't really like needles, it wasn't too bad. I thought I might be able to get some work done while I was there, but you really can't do much because you have to keep your arm still and straight, and you have to squeeze your hand or a stress ball on and off throughout the whole procedure. They have wifi so you can scroll your phone or watch shows etc. All the employees I encountered at this facility were very professional and kind. It's cool to be able to help others in this way, as well as make some extra cash.

This review is more so feedback for the company and the structure, this location has very friendly…read morestaff. The pay incentive doesn't work for everyone. The incentive off the bat is really great when you get like $800 for 8 visits or something, but what isn't relayed right away is that you have a certain amount of time to get those visits in and you can only do 2 visits a week and must have at least 2 days in between AND weeks run Monday through Sunday. SO... needless to say it isn't simple to schedule if you have other competing properties (I.e family/kid obligations and a FT job with non consistent hrs/rotating days.) Then also the incentive drops pretty drastically in half but with a higher incentive on your second visit which makes no sense to me. So it really didn't make it worth it unless you can get there 2 times in a week; which already mentioned can be tough to schedule. Then the pay structure isn't as fair either with individuals who have to give more (I.e. my donation is typically around 890 but saw people as low as 580... so they're getting the same for less time. Also a few times where the staff would help someone out of order and I'd have to wait longer... or by some odd luck I also had blood leaking from my injection site and I'd have to switch arms and extend time even more to get fixed... my last visit there took nearly 2 hours (and I was 20 min late for work) so that was the point I decided it was no longer worth it... If you're in school or working part time and have more flexibility might be worth it; otherwise beware that it isn't as easy as they make it seem.

It made me genuinely not want to come back to this location. I CANNOT stress this enough she was the rudest customer service agent and it truly ruined my day. The only reason I'd ever return here is to see what her name is to be able to properly report her. Do NOT come here unless you want to waste 3 hours of your time dealing with an absolute karen.

I booked the class via phone, the CSR was really helpful and efficient in booking the class and providing the information about the course. After paying and confirming my info she said I would get a receipt email and another with access info into the account since there is the online class portion that must be completed before going in person for the second half. I did get the receipt but not the account info, I reached out to their online CSR, they sent a reset password email to help access the account. The online class is pretty informative and can take anywhere from 3-4 hours to complete. There are seven modules in total. For the in person class, it is recommended that you show up 15 minutes before to check in and bring the email or print the proof of your online completed class. The instructor was very helpful and taught efficiently to help deepen one's knowledge and put into practice what one has learned from the online portion. The class was 2.15 hours and went by quickly. Highly would recommend whether it is for work purposes or in general for being prepared for emergencies. Also it's fun to do it with a family member or friend so you can be partners :)

They also stuck a needle in without giving me warning and proceeded to fish around for my vein while the needle was in my skin. They then took the needle out and my arm started to bleed severely. They tried again on my other arm and did the EXACT SAME THING. They then proceeded to accuse me of having a blood clot when I had recently been checked out by my doctor and was absolutely fine! No, maybe it wouldn't work because you're unprofessional and untrained! When I wanted to stop they tried to convince me to try again after telling them to take it out because it HURT and the lady walked away to do paperwork. I said get it out of my arm. Their policy states very clearly that you can stop at any time. Clearly that is not the case! I will never be back and unless you want a bruised arm, I wouldn't suggest trusting this establishment. If I could put no stars I definitely would!
