Good place, but occasionally short of staff. Certain times of the day require a longer stay time....Patience is a virtue!

If you can spare the time, platelet donations help make the donation go even further - I just started into that and it gives me some extra time to catch up on the reading I try to do otherwise but inevitable run out of time. The staff was cordial when checking in. However once I began to donate, the techs spent the entire time interacting with each other, behind my head, giving me no feedback. I felt like an inconvenience. I have never bled out after donating, having given a few gallons over the years, but did this time. Blood was on my arm, floor, table, etc. It took a bit while I had my arm raised with pressure until clean up was begun. Areas of blood were cleaned first, but beyond my arm, nothing on me was cleaned or checked. I found blood on my clothes when I returned home. Again, I felt like an inconvenience. No apologies were made. It appears that Versiti does not desire feedback as I have never been contacted post donation with any type of a survey. If you desire donors, I could give you a few suggestions. It appears that Versiti is in need of a transfusion in professionalism.

I booked the class via phone, the CSR was really helpful and efficient in booking the class and providing the information about the course. After paying and confirming my info she said I would get a receipt email and another with access info into the account since there is the online class portion that must be completed before going in person for the second half. I did get the receipt but not the account info, I reached out to their online CSR, they sent a reset password email to help access the account. The online class is pretty informative and can take anywhere from 3-4 hours to complete. There are seven modules in total. For the in person class, it is recommended that you show up 15 minutes before to check in and bring the email or print the proof of your online completed class. The instructor was very helpful and taught efficiently to help deepen one's knowledge and put into practice what one has learned from the online portion. The class was 2.15 hours and went by quickly. Highly would recommend whether it is for work purposes or in general for being prepared for emergencies. Also it's fun to do it with a family member or friend so you can be partners :)

The location is right off of Alpine behind Target and has easy parking. There is also a bus stop right there. When you go for your first time, plan on spending up to three hours there but after that, it is usually around an hour from arrival til leaving. You can go twice a week. They have an app that makes it very easy to schedule appointments and to see your earnings pile up!

I'm not going to name the person I spoke to, but she got me a new card, didn't ask what was going on with my old card, or even bother to look at just entered the info on the computer after I scanned in. She didn't even bother to tell me that I would be charged for the new card after activation. I looked at my balance right away to make sure it was on my card, and needless to say, I was charged for the new card, so I went to ask to speak to her once more and told her why I was charged for the card. She stated that everyone is charged for a card replacement regardless of the reason. She then says that unless your card is expiring, you will get a new one in the mail. I looked at my card, and what do I see? My card expires 03/26, I show her the expiration date and ask for a refund, and she looks at me and says sorry I can't do that since it was already charged! Like seriously, most people who come in to donate are counting on what they will be receiving from the donation for bills/gas. If she would have just taken some time and asked to look at my card or even tell me that I will be charged for a new card, I would have asked for an alternative or maybe have waited for the new one since my card cannot be read when swiping to pay becuase the black strip in peeled off, I even showed it to her when I went back in. Honestly, to me I feel like it was too much of a bother for her to at least look at my card or even giving me a heads up that I would be charged for this card would have been nice. I understand you all work long hours and are all human and make mistakes or forget to mention something, but don't try to blame the other guys for not informing me that there would be a charge for a new one. You, as the manager should have taken that responsibility.

I'm…read moreexcited to share about BioLife, a plasma donation center where your donation can help save lives. A friend of mine has been donating plasma for awhile and let me know BioLife was doing a bonus in October - $950 if you do 8 donations in 30 days. Unfortunately I wasn't able to sign up in time, but the same bonus is still happening in November. Payment comes on a prepaid Mastercard "debit" card. You can use this card like most debit cards, or you can withdraw cash at participating ATMs or deposit the money into your bank account. You can register for an account online and sign up for an appointment. Your first appointment is long because they register you, screen you for donation, have you answer a really long questionnaire, then review the questions and get a physical exam. I ended up being there for 2+ hours on my first visit. The screening process is pretty easy, you can't be visibly ill (or actually sick), they prick your finger to test your blood for protein and iron levels, they weigh you to see how much plasma you can donate, and they take your temperature and blood pressure. You have to have at least two "good" veins in order to donate. I'd never donated plasma before but it was a pretty easy process. The needle they use is pretty big, but as someone who doesn't really like needles, it wasn't too bad. I thought I might be able to get some work done while I was there, but you really can't do much because you have to keep your arm still and straight, and you have to squeeze your hand or a stress ball on and off throughout the whole procedure. They have wifi so you can scroll your phone or watch shows etc. All the employees I encountered at this facility were very professional and kind. It's cool to be able to help others in this way, as well as make some extra cash.

They also stuck a needle in without giving me warning and proceeded to fish around for my vein while the needle was in my skin. They then took the needle out and my arm started to bleed severely. They tried again on my other arm and did the EXACT SAME THING. They then proceeded to accuse me of having a blood clot when I had recently been checked out by my doctor and was absolutely fine! No, maybe it wouldn't work because you're unprofessional and untrained! When I wanted to stop they tried to convince me to try again after telling them to take it out because it HURT and the lady walked away to do paperwork. I said get it out of my arm. Their policy states very clearly that you can stop at any time. Clearly that is not the case! I will never be back and unless you want a bruised arm, I wouldn't suggest trusting this establishment. If I could put no stars I definitely would!
