These people are so rude for no reason. Couldn't even find my vein, had to dig around in my arm forever. Horrible experience and will never return. I was a first time donor (will probably never attempt this again) and had to wait about an hour before I finally got back to the 'nurse'. At that point, I had already filled out all my paperwork, had my vitals taken and was just waiting to donate. I was finally called back but the nurse called the wrong name. I said that wasn't me and she said "oh well just come with me". That was the first red flag. As a healthcare worker myself, that is unacceptable. But I get it; they were busy. Once in her office, she asks me why I needed to see her. I explained it was my first ever visit and she then proceeds to move me to another room with another staff member...who is slouched in her chair doing training modules on her computer and didn't even look up at me to introduce herself. I was clearly interrupting her. She begins asking me questions and then asks what I ate for breakfast. My appointment was at 10am and I had not eaten breakfast, which is typical for me. Her and the 'nurse' looked at each other then the original nurse says "well we require you eat prior to your appointment. At that point, I got frustrated and asked why they wouldn't ask me about this earlier and why isn't stated as a requirement when signing up to donate and I was met with extreme hostility and attitude. I asked to speak with her supervisor as she had to ask said supervisor if I could 'have a snack'. The supervisor came in and was immediately hostile. She told me I could leave and not donate at this facility and basically stood in my face as I walked out the door; attempting to physically intimidate me. Biohazard is more like it. They require appointments but never seem to keep them. Save your time and drive to Beloit and go to CSL. First come, first served, and great people. I will never darken the doorway of BioLife ever again. read more

Earlier in the year i was, understandably, temporarily differed because i sprained my hand in an accident. After my hand heald fully, because of the severity of the sprain i was recommended too take as long of a break as i could before donating, so i waited a year. So, assuming i was good to go, i went to donate for my first time since my injury. The moment i was looked up however, for some undiscribable reason, i was treated with outright hostility. When they brought up my temp differment (on which i brough relevant documents from a licensed physician) it was only after i went through the normal beginning stages of donating fully. During which, the threw many wild and outright outrageous claims on my character. Even going so far as to try to intimidate me (which is funny, because im a man, and they were all woman). Im not sure if im going to talk to my lawyer about this, but just for anyones sake who is thinking about donating at this location specifically, it might be wiser to drive a larger distance do a better run facility. read more

It was my first time donating and the phlebotomist that pocked me Tahini was really efficient and I didn't even feel the needle go in. Although she was very quiet and soft spoken she communicated with me and the other donors very well. read more

The first day lm good and they pay $35 bit when you come back for the higher amount of $70 they defer you for a bogus claim. I'm healthy and eat good and drink plenty of water. I make sure to eat right. I'm not any medication. so this place sucks! no wonder there's hardly anyone coming back to this place. Do not waste your time!!! read more
