The staff and volunteers were very friendly (I believe the staff changes but I haven't meet a rude one yet) as well. The only issue is that they don't offer many times to give blood at this location but there are many other drives in the local area that you can find via their app or on their website.

Didn't happen. They infiltrated my arm with blood and saline and a week later recommended I seek medical care. Are they going to pay for that Dr. visit to make sure my arm is ok, that there's no nerve damage or trapped fluid. Short answer no. Obviously I wont go back there neither should you. Now I feel bad they have some good people there who treated me well the first 3 times I went. Too bad they were all too busy talking to notice that my yellow light was flashing. By the time someone noticed and came over and I had to ask for a ball it was too late. There was a clot in the tube! we know how bad you want that plasma so let's try the arm with the hidden veins. Three stabs later finally got it in. Too bad it didn't hold up! I can't believe I kept my composure through all of this. By now you've taken too much blood for me to just let you keep it so we're gonna try to force it back into my vein which wouldn't go because obviously there was still part of a clot in the tubing! I actually had to tell them to stop because the pressure in my vein was so great. I could tell it was getting ready to explode! So they gave me a Gatorade and let me know I would be paid for yesterday's visit. Too bad that both arms are blown out now. Not only is this how I planned on picking up a couple of Christmas gifts, but if I were to end up sick and in the hospital, the medical professionals would have a hell of the time trying to get any blood draw from me. Blowing my veins out and then deferring me for two months is like taking $400 out of my pockets. And that's on the low side. This is definitely open my eyes. Not sure I could suggest for anyone to ever donate plasma after my last experience there. And you guys came highly recommended. This place is about as transphobic as they come! I went in at 10:00a 6/14, had to go to the court…read morehouse and get a copy of my Court Order allowing my name change and gender marker change. Because the old ID with my dead name that matched my SS card wasn't good enough, even tho it was not expired. So I did, I went to the court and got a copy of the court order. Then I went in today at 10:30 7/17, went through the entire process 3hrs and was told I now needed to take this form to my PCP to be approved for donation. Based on, "This individual is referred for a for a medical evaluation due to reporting a history of medication (which all of mine are approved) and/or condition that caused medical referral." So what I've learned from Freedom plasma aka Immunotek is: Being trans is a medical condition, That they know better than three other donation companies. And instead of operating off of body mass (Recommendations per FDA) they know more and must only operate off of gender.
