    Surprise pull drawer under sink.

I was referred here by my contractor that I trust a lot. He told me, best cabinets, best price by a small business. I thought I'd wrap up the deal in 1, maybe 2 visits. After I kept making changes it turned out to be about 6. I'm so happy he was patient, responded to text immediately and willing to make adjustments. I'm in love with my cabinets and my kitchen. Biggest advice Would be to make sure you know exactly the direction you want ALL your doors to open in and exactly where you want all the knobs. Top notch cabinets.

My mismatched kitchen. Bluer base cabinet

Prices are great, cabinet quality is good. Edmund the owner is experienced at design, he was very patient with me as I changed the design a couple of times before setting on a color; but I had bad luck. I ordered a kitchen in grey which included 12 cabinets. The invoice clearly said that once cabinets are delivered, there is no warranty; but I did not pay attention to that. The cabinets arrived and I did not inspect them; later I found out two wall cabinets were slightly damaged and two base cabinet came on a different color. I was charged for replacing one of the damaged cabinets as my "blind installer" did not notice the damage and he installed it as it was; the second I kept, as the damage was not worth the outrageous price of replacing a door (70% of the cost of the whole cabinet). However, the worst part was that two base cabinets came in a different color, more blue than gray, and lighter. Again my "color blind" installer did not notice the color difference until the kitchen was totally finished. When I went back to Edmund to request those base cabinets in the color I ordered, he said not his problem, go directly to the manufacturer and deal with them. The issue is that the manufacturer (which fortunately was in the Chicago area) did not have the color of the other cabinets, as the color of the majority of the kitchen was already discontinued. My option was to have a mismatched kitchen or pay for new fronts in the new color. The invoice clearly said the "All products have gone through close examination and made sure that there are no defects" Clearly that was not the case, they did not inspect what they sent me; or worse they did and did not care. I have a beautiful mismatched kitchen. Worth noting that the touch up kit I received was also worthless, the crayon was much darker than my grey cabinet, as it was almost black and the marker was brown not gray. So I could not use that to touch up damages. So you can use this company, and you will get a good quality kitchen at a good price, just make sure you understand the terms, and please inspect every single cabinet and the touch up kit, before accepting them.

Edmund gave me the greatest solutions for a very workable kitchen! His prices are amazing for self-close doors, the pantry with it's amazing pull out shelves! The crown molding design is so clever. It sits on top of the cabinets, attached to the frames, so that you don't see any nail holes on the molding.

This is the ONLY place you will need to get your kitchen cabinets from. Ed is the owner and he is extremely helpful with my remodeling project. The cabinets are well made and very modern. It compliment any ones dream kitchen ideas. Please see my pictures and you can judge for yourself. This is the ONLY place I will be buying my cabinets from now on.

I had absolutely amazing experience with this company. Prompt service and by far the most competitive prices that nobody can beat. We had an issue with one of the doors as the color of the wood seemed a bit faded away.. We received replacement in no time no questions asked. If you are really thinking about a new kitchen but are afraid of the cost this is the way to go. You will be just stunned how affordable it can be with CSJ.

My experience with this company was horrible. I should have known something wasn't right because each time I went in there was no one in there and he was on the phone with someone who had experienced a problem. The reason I went was because I read the reviews on Yelp. When I went to get an estimate I specified which one I wanted and when I came back to purchase the cabinets I specified from the display which one I wanted and was told that they were the same and the same price. When I arrived to pick them up with the truck and the guys they were not the ones I chose. NOW the customer service was gone and he was yelling to look at the paperwork which he did put light oak on when I clearly showed him 2 or 3 times the darker color. He then says NOW I want to change my mind but the other one was more but he would give them to me for the same price with no warranty.......... WHY if they are the same but cost more. So luckily I had the installers with me and he looked at both and clearly told me the darker NO warranty ones were NO good the wood was less quality and wouldn't last. So you LIED and said they were the same. I would never purchase anything else from this place and encourage women to PLEASE take someone with you.

I was very pleased with my encounter at CSJ. I went in based upon the other yelp reviews, and Ed was extremely helpful from the get go. I had rough measurements, and he was able to draw up a schematic on the spot, and give me quotes for the 2 different styles of cabinets I was interested in. They came delivered on time, and the price stayed as quoted. I am extremely pleased.

We were warned repeatedly: "A kitchen remodel will be a nightmare--don't live there while it's…read morehappening!" That, along with a few other cautions, set our expectations before starting our project with Kitchen & Baths Unlimited. For my wife and me, however, the experience turned out very differently. We cannot say enough great things about Nancy (design), Owen (project management) and the entire team that meticulously executed the remodel. While I work from home and my wife commutes downtown, we decided to move forward with gutting and remodeling the vintage kitchen in our 100-year-old farmhouse in Evanston--and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Yes, the demolition phase was a bit loud, as expected. But after that, the usual construction noise--hammering and drilling--was manageable. The team did an excellent job minimizing disruption: adjacent rooms were carefully sealed to contain dust, wood floors were protected with panels, and window treatments were wrapped in plastic. Design selections were also made easy thanks to Nancy, who guided us through choosing colors, cabinets, and countertops that matched our vision. The result is a beautiful transformation from a neglected, dingy farmhouse kitchen into a bright, modern farmhouse space. The Italian tile backsplash complements the quartz countertops with subtle veining. The lower cabinets are a soft gray, while the upper cabinets are white, creating a clean and balanced look. We also upgraded our appliances and fixtures, including LED ceiling lights, a Bosch microwave drawer, a professional KitchenAid range with a matching hood featuring an infrared sensor, and a modern stainless-steel farmhouse sink with a gentle bow. Despite an initial delay with the permit office due to a previously applied for permit that KBU helped us manage, the project stayed on schedule. We made a few minor upgrades along the way, but thanks to Owen and Nancy's guidance, we remained on time and within our overall budget. The KBU crew was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. Communication was seamless--especially since I was working from home--which helped address questions quickly and keep the project moving efficiently. In the end, we passed all inspections and received written approval from the village within a day. For us, this remodel was a great success. Thank you to Nancy, Owen, Patricia, Rade, and the entire team! You are the BEST!

We just finished a complete remodel with KBU--kitchen and three baths. We started with Kelly, and…read moreshe was outstanding. Ownership changed, and we were concerned that the new owners would not deliver the same kind of product as previous owners. Not a worry. The new owners have the same dedication to the client and are also a pleasure to work with. We love the finished product and we are very happy with owner, Owen and crew leader, Rade. We had a budget for this very large project, and they helped us stay within that amount. We never felt that we had to skimp on choices to stay in budget. One of the best things about Owen is he responds immediately. No matter what day or time we'd text, email or call, Owen responded within the hour and often faster. And his response was always positive and supportive. Any issues or problems? He took care of them without any hesitation. He wanted us to be satisfied and happy with the results. And we are. One of the other tradespeople broke an item and is replacing it, but it won't arrive for several months after our remodel is complete. No problem, Owen will have Rade install that item for us when it arrives. To us, that says a lot about Owen and his business philosophy. We consider ourselves so fortunate to have Rade and Jesus as our crew. Rade does things the right way. He never skimped or took shortcuts. Even if it was more difficult or took more time, Rade did it the right way. Rade also wanted us to be happy with the results. He is thorough, professional, skilled and experienced. Many times there were choices and decisions, and we were not sure which to do. We had so much confidence in Rade's experience and skill that we deferred to his suggestions. We were never disappointed. Remodeling can be a stressful mess, but the people at KBU make it as stress free as possible. They are a pleasure to work with and to know.

We recently had our bathrooms remodeled, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The scope of our project included a full renovation of primary, kids and guest bathrooms, and the quality of craftsmanship really shows in every space. From the tile work to the fixtures and overall layout, everything feels high-quality and thoughtfully done. We especially appreciated the unique elements incorporated into the design, like the wall-mounted faucets, recessed vanities, heated floors, and heated bidets--features that truly elevated both the look and comfort of our bathrooms. The team was excellent to work with from start to finish. Elizabeth, our designer, and Eric, our project manager, were both fantastic and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Elizabeth helped bring our vision to life with thoughtful design choices and a great eye for the overall look and feel, while Eric kept everything running smoothly and on schedule. Our contractor, also named Eric, did very high-quality work, and it really shows in the finished product. Everyone we interacted with was professional, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. Communication was consistent, and we always felt informed about what was happening next. The team's level of care and precision really stood out--they made sure everything was done right. The entire process, from design to construction to the final finishing touches, was smooth and well-managed. They helped guide us through design decisions without pressure, kept the project moving on schedule, and made sure the final result matched (and even exceeded) our expectations. The end result is a set of bathrooms that not only look amazing but feel built to last. We're extremely happy with the quality of work and the overall experience, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a remodel.

There was a small snag at the end where my heated floors weren't heating. It all made sense when I found that they have a design area upstairs. Downstairs they have various kitchen items and gadgets. An appointment is required to talk about cabinetry and get some estimates. I met with Marnie, and she was fantastic. I had Opinions on what I did and did not want and she seemed pleased with that and that I had actually done the research on the cabinetry options she'd sent, so I came in knowing precisely which ones I wanted. It definitely made the appointment go more quickly since I already knew which door styles and colors I was interested in. She talked with me about some of the technical aspects (e.g., framed vs. frameless vanities, top mount vs. under mount sinks, etc.) and they had various examples on display. They also had most of the door styles to have a better idea of what they'd look like. For the bathroom in which the vanity would be installed, the options here were more than we wanted to spend. I'd like to consider an update for the main bathroom, though, and would look to AKB for that job. The companies they work with have really beautiful products. Honestly, it makes me want to do more remodeling (main bathroom! Kitchen!) because wandering around the showroom made me want everything!
