Once you walk in you can see the cozy ambiance of the business, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You gotta order at the register and they bring the food to you while you wait If we're in the area again we'd come back They have more of a lunch option compared to breakfast but you can still find something if you woke up late

A handful of outdoor tables, the rest inside, all clean and efficiently turned. Everything comes out fast and hot--service is brisk, bordering on assembly-line smooth. The French toast ($9) is as basic as it gets: two slices, a dusting of powdered sugar, syrup, and a lonely half strawberry. It tastes exactly like what it looks like--standard, soft, slightly forgettable. Not offensive, just... there. The latte was solid, and my mom's coffee was hot, strong, and dependable. The avocado toast tried, but didn't quite land. Cream cheese base, fried egg, tomato, and sliced avocado--some of which leaned a little too ripe. The tomato had a firm bite, the bread barely toasted, and the whole thing felt under-seasoned and uninspired. It needed salt, crunch, personality--something. The double chocolate muffin was moist, soft, and generously studded with melted chocolate pockets. Not house-made-feeling, more like a well-executed bakery standard--but still the best bite of the morning. (They also offer cranberry walnut and blueberry.) Bottom line: Skip the composed plates. Grab a muffin and a coffee--it's the smartest, happiest move here.

JoJo’s Tastes of Chicago - The crust is fantastically firm, enough to be able to pick it up and eat it like a proper piece of pizza. It's just unbelievably good!

For those of you who still aren't aware of this place, they are 201 Commonwealth, off of Ridgewood or US1, back in the inside corner across from The Turn. So the other night, Janie Skidmore Panasis had come home from Janie's Boutique where she has been outfitting the ladies of Florida in their fancy attire, and she was hungry for some pizza. So off we went, and the place was hopping. I wonder how many pizzas they end up serving on a given day, but during the 45 mins we were there, they had at least 10 door dash pickups. We ordered our usual which was the 16 inch "cracker crust" thin and crispy with pepperoni and mushrooms (their mushrooms are fresh, not canned) and also asked for it well done so you can taste the crispness of the crust and the slightly charred cheese and pepperoni. Wow, Joe Kielbasa you are an artist of the pizza world! You guys make other great food too. The pizza is far and away my personal favorite but the Italian beef, Chicago dogs, the meatball parm Sammie and the egg rolls are awesome too. Service was exceptional and very attentive.

I crave Italian beefs and Chicago dogs every now and then, and this place absolutely hit the spot. The flavors were authentic, the portions were perfect, and everything tasted fresh. If you're looking for real Chicago-style comfort food, this is the place to go. Not to mention the service was awesome and the Chicago history all over the restaurant really did it. I'm already planning my next visit.

I was thinking about lunch and was craving some pastrami. I have been wanting to try this…read morerestaurant for a while, and I'm glad I finally did! This is a mobile order so I can't comment on the restaurant but all of the food was well packaged and with appropriate utensils in the delivery bag. I ordered a Pastrami Reuben and a Garden Salad. To start, the garden salad was ok. It's shredded iceberg with chopped provolone, cucumbers and olives. It also has sliced onions and green peppers with a smattering of olives, chopped banana peppers and a couple of tomato slices. I topped it with Larry's Italian dressing, and it was good. Now the Reuben was very good. I'm not a huge fan of rye, but this was very subtle. It had a decent portion of pastrami. The dressing and sauerkraut were good, and I opted for provolone instead of Swiss cheese. All in all a very filling sandwich which fulfilled my craving for pastrami. I'll order from here again... maybe not a salad but I'd like to try the corned beef. And they do have other sandwiches on the menu...

The fillings of the sandwich were fresh and delicious but the bread was not. Rarely do I return food but because I don't eat much bread anymore I will only settle for the best. Upon ordering I asked if the bread was fresh and she said yes. Even the replacement was not fresh. I'm not an idiot. Wrinkles on the top of the bread is a sure sign it's not fresh. I worked in a sandwich shop in the 80s. I know what fresh bread is and I could smelled it from outside. That is what drew me in. Don't lie to me. Twice
