I met Crystal for bridal makeup and hair for my elopement in Kauai. It was like chatting and laughing with a dear friend for a few hours! She made it so comfortable and fun. My hair and makeup did not waver through winds, sun, a little drizzle and about 3 hours of ceremony and pictures! She was efficient and put me at ease right away! It set the tone for rest of the day- no anxiety at all- everything was easy and wonderful! Mahalo Crystal!! read more

Crystal was AMAZING! I had to see her to get my hair color retouched before the wedding and to talk about styles. She put me at ease right away. Planning a destination wedding is quite a challenge especially when you're not familiar with the work and you put all your trust on recommendations. I'm so glad Crystal had the highest recommendations from our coordinator! A week later on my wedding day, Crystal took care of my 2 girls and I and we couldn't have been happier. She arrived at our hotel on time, her timing with each of us was perfect and she made sure we were happy with our make up and hair. My girls were gorgeous and she made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world! My hair and make up lasted the entire afternoon to evening in spite of a sweltering hot and humid day during an outdoor wedding and because of that our photos turned out picture perfect! Crystal is the best!! read more

Crystal is amazing! I was nervous about doing my own makeup bc of how humid it was and I wasn't sure how my makeup would look like as the day went on for my wedding. I reached out to her 1 day before my wedding without any sort of trial. She was able to squeeze me in and she was on top of communication! She showed up on time and ready. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she delivered 110%. I didn't need any sort of fixing and was happy with everything she did. She was super easygoing, fun to talk to and made me feel comfortable with what she was doing. I'm so happy she did my makeup - it stayed all day without any creasing, smudging or lipstick wearing off. Everything stayed in place! I highly recommend her - you won't regret it. read more

I had planned a last minute elopement in about a week. I reached out to a few stylists on the island and she was: 1. The quickest and easiest to contact. 2. She offered to travel to our lodging. 3. She included lashes! 4. The most reasonable price! Fast forward to the wedding day. Crystal arrived on time to our airbnb. She was super sweet. I'll admit, at first I was worried that her makeup style would be too natural for me. I'm use to MAC or Makeup Forever style like makeup, but I really loved her work! The natural look was flawless and a lot of friends and family complimented that they loved the natural yet subtle glam look. The makeup stayed on pretty well with no need to reapply, even until late at night at 10pm when we got home from dinner! As for my hair, she worked a miracle! One, I had to explain to her that I am growing an undercut out so my hair is kinda short underneath. Also, my hair color is a balayage so it has all sorts of colors AND my hair is SUPER thick. The end product, was beautiful! It didn't feel uncomfortable like most updos with all the endless bobby pins. She also was able to place my hair color pieces to go well together. I also had a flower crown, and it stayed throughout the ceremony! I highly recommend Crystal for hair & makeup! Don't look elsewhere! read more

My brother-in-law was getting married in Kauai and I wanted to get my makeup done because I was a bridesmaid. I found Crystal on Yelp and lucky for me, she was available, even though I'd contacted her just a couple of weeks before the wedding. She was very professional, helpful and friendly. I really appreciated her traveling to me to work on my makeup. I felt very comfortable and Crystal was very confident in her work. I like how my makeup turned out and I appreciate the little lipstick sample she gave me since I don't wear lipstick and didn't have my own. I recommend her for your makeup needs in Kauai! Planning an out-of-state elopement can be scary. Booking your hair and makeup artist for the big day with no trial run could be terrifying. Crystal's stellar reviews made me choose her. Corresponding with her here and there via email put me at ease. By the time she arrived at our ABnB condo for our appointment, I was totally relaxed and ready to have fun! Crystal is a great listener, a talented stylist, and a really amazing person. Having her do my hair and makeup for our wedding photos was one of the best decisions I made. I have limited abilities in the beauty prep department. I don't wear much make-up on a daily basis and mostly live in messy buns. I felt totally ill-equipped without Crystal's guidance. She listened to my preferences and then I trusted her judgment to develop an appropriate style to match my dress and venue. Crystal goes above and beyond to get everything just right. She made me feel like a princess and I will treasure the pictures she helped create over the many years to come :) read more

Crystal is absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond (even picking up my flowers for me on the way). She is incredibly professional, and took every precaution to be safe during the pandemic. She was easy to talk to and made me feel at ease, which was so important for me as I didn't have any family or friends there to help me get ready. My hair and makeup was absolutely flawless, even holding up through a rainy hike for my adventure elopement. I will recommend her to everyone I know who gets married in Kauai! read more

Crystal is just the best! I couldn't be more happy that I booked her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I kind of showed her a couple pictures of hair ideas and told her that idk about makeup because I don't wear much and she made me look so beautiful. It was totally windy and my hair didn't move even a little bit. I felt so pretty I didn't want to take off my makeup or take down my hair. Highly highly recommend! Thanks Crystal!!! read more

What can I say?! I highly recommend Crystal to anyone who is looking for someone for hair and makeup on their wedding day. Crystal was communicative and timely. So easy to talk to and knew just what to do to turn my vision into a reality. Her makeup application was flawless. As my 21 year old daughter said "that make up is on point!" Crystal was kind enough to help me with my dress and take photos and video of the reveal to my fiancé as we were traveling alone. If I ever win that lottery, Crystal would be hired to airbrush me and do my hair daily ! Love love love her ! read more

Crystal set me at ease when I needed it most. She had a very calming presence while doing my hair and makeup for my wedding. I completely trusted her and she made me look amazing. I am so glad my wedding coordinator recommended her highly. I was extremely happy with her professionalism , punctuality , makeup , and style. She even went above and beyond and put in my hair extensions. And she had lashes too!!! She does it ALL! Crystal is the best!!! I've never felt more beautiful. read more

I cannot thank Crystal enough for her amazing hair and makeup for our big day. She was attentive, thoughtful, and just extremely talented. She made sure to check in with me every step of the way while adding her own creativity to the look. She made sure to stay true to what I was looking for overall and really knew how to understand the vision I had. It was a great experience working with her and I really felt beautiful for my day thanks to her! I was also amazed by the ease she worked with my hair when any other time I have gotten it done it always turned out not the way I was looking for. I wish I could use her for any event I have in the future! She is truly talented and I would recommend her to anyone searching for the perfect stylist! Thank you for making my day go so well, we really appreciated you and the time you dedicated to our day! read more

Crystal is professional, friendly, down-to-earth and an amazing and talented artist/stylist. She works efficiently and even adjusted to include some of my bridesmaids. She also has a very soothing presence which was so helpful to keep my nerves calm on my wedding day. She was more affordable than the other stylists I contacted, and did my hair and make-up perfectly and it lasted the entire day and night. She responds quickly and did not charge a travel fee since I was so close to her (unlike other stylists that charged a fee even though I was within a few minutes away). I cannot recommend Crystal enough, she is awesome! read more

You are making a FANTASTIC decision when you decide to work with Crystal! I got married on Kaua'i and looked through every single hair & makeup artist portfolio before opting to work with Crystal. She is incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with (which is so helpful while planning a wedding). She is a magician with hair and can pull off so many flawless looks. I felt particularly drawn to her work as a makeup artist because she doesn't do anything too over the top; instead, she just makes people look like prettier, dewier versions of themselves for the big day! I did a trial with her and she did my makeup PERFECTLY. I LOVED the hair as well (seriously, she's a genius), but later decided I wanted to change something about it for the big day. Crystal understood instantly what I meant and did my hair better than I ever could have imagined for my wedding. She has such calm, warm energy and it was a pleasure getting to know and spend time with her, both during the trial and on the wedding day. I cannot recommend her more highly, as she is a gifted artist and wonderful human! read more

I could not have asked for a better experience with Crystal. I was so nervous about booking my wedding hair/makeup somewhere I had never been before but Crystal was awesome from the very start. She did an AMAZING job with not just my hair and makeup - but also that of my bridesmaids! She did the best makeup I have EVER had done in my entire life and did my hair exactly how I described (and even better than I could have imagined!) Having Crystal take care of all of this for my wedding made me the most confident version of myself for the entire day. One of my bridesmaids said she wanted to fly Crystal to the main land for her wedding because she had never had such awesome makeup done. It was such a relief to not only have someone ace my wedding hair and makeup, but also do it so that it held up in the Kauai humidity. Not only is Crystal an outstanding hair and makeup artist, but she is also an awesome person who was super accommodating and kind throughout the entire process. I can't say enough good things about Crystal and The Artists Co. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! The best people you could ever imagine to get you ready for the best day ever. read more

Crystal came over to our condo to do my hair for my wedding. She was prompt, professional, and so easy to hang out with! My hair looked absolutely perfect and stayed put through hiking, rain, and some serious ocean breezes! She styled my hair just how I wanted it, and my makeup was flawless. She made me look absolutely gorgeous and the best part was, I still looked like me! I would absolutely recommend Crystal to any bride who wants to look gorgeous on her wedding day, but also to anyone looking for a great hair and makeup combo for any occasion. She is truly talented and wonderful to work with! Five stars isn't enough, but it'll have to do. Thanks, Crystal! read more

Crystal did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my elopement in Kauai last year. She was prompt, professional and fit right in with my crazy group of friends - who were all hanging out watching me get ready. As a self-proclaimed beauty guru, everyone was shocked I was letting another person do my hair and makeup, especially on my wedding day! Crystal really delivered and I was super happy and impressed with the outcome. Definitely reach out to her for affordable beauty services if you're on the island. :) read more

I found Crystal through yelp with about a month left till my husband and I got married. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Crystal. She was super responsive, through text and email. She took my suggestions and pictures I sent her, and rolled with it! She came up with a wedding look that I was 110% happy with!!! My daily makeup routine consists of chapstick so I was weary that I would end up not looking like myself. But once I looked in the mirror, all those worries went away! Crystal made this whole process one to remember!!! I can't thank her enough!!! read more

Crystal did my hair and makeup for my elopement in April. She came to the condo I was staying in and did my hair and makeup on the balcony overlooking the ocean. She was on time and incredibly friendly and was able to recreate a hairstyle I wanted based on a couple of different photos.
