When I went in my big toenails both were damaged. One was cracked across the center and the other was ripped. I was offered a solution by the lady who did my pedicure and she added a layer of acrylic and took the time to repair my nails. You would never know by looking at the picture that there were issues prior. It was a busy day at the salon and she did not rush and made sure that it was done properly which I appreciate as there were people waiting to have pedicures done. Vincent is great. But this review is about the cost of a plain mani and pedi being $45. I've been coming here for a few years and last year it was $35 for the same service. As a local of 17 years, it amazes me to find gems for self-care services but lo and behold Crystal Nail and Spa! I've been trying to find a nail salon to be a regular at and I think they accomplished that... I got an amazing acrylic gel fill for $45 (due to them being reshaped from square to almond) and Hong Tai Tang (manicurist at Chair 3) did a PHENOMENAL job. She made sure every nail was the same shape and length and didn't rush anything, and it SHOWS!! When she started to paint my nails, she noticed the color was a little off so she took the time to go find a color she thought I would like better! Seriously, amazing job! The nail salon is located in a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. Customer service is lack-luster. Not good but not bad. Plenty of color options, so that's a plus. Received a mani/pedi and it was done well. Again, nothing spectacular. Everything was ok. The final test would be to see how long everything holds up. I went to this nail salon like two weeks ago. The day after going my toe was so sore. She rushed doing my nails and toes. I did have to get home to my baby. But then I noticed it was infected. Under my toe nail and on the side, I cant wear shoes unless its opened toed shoes. Puss is coming out. She used old stuff on me. Not brand new stuff. Especially with everything going on, she should have used brand new tools on me. I dont recommend this place! She was nice and got me out on time. But my toe is infected now. read more

Have been going to this place for a while despite less than sub-par service because our area lacks nice places that offer proper pedicures. So I came in for a pedicure and had a 12 min pedicure that didn't include cuticle care, or scrubbing my feet with anything but a brush.then the great part was when the woman literally spent seconds rubbing lotion on my legs and feet (not massaging whatsoever) and the. Proceeded to take 15 min painting my nails. Afterwards I looked and couldn't believe how bad they were especially considering I already got short handed on the pedi. I asked the owner if I could come back a different time for a redo and he said he would have to ask and still pay for it, wait what? I pay for two pedicures now? Um I don't think so. So I show him my toes and tel him I'm not paying for anything one and it should be fixed because it wasn't done right and he gets mad and says fine but you can't come back in two weeks you have to come today or tomorrow (well I have 3 little kids so sorry I can spend 3 hours getting a pedicure) and treated me like I was trying to jip them by getting a free pedi a few weeks later. Two days go by and I can finally get back there and I come in and he's absolutely rude to me. They set me up with no joke a cold bowl of water to put my feet in and give another pedicure that was almost as bad except the new girls actually trimmed my cuticles and scrubbed my calluses for 20sec. But the paint job is almost as bad as the first. I'm so irritated I am never returned to this place and am not ever referring anyone here again. read more

Without regard to the customer's wishes. I greeted my tech Marcie with a warm "Hello". Her response was an abrupt; "I'll be right there" (Later she "apologized" but she seemed more like she was justifying herself. I simply just wanted to have a nice exchange with her) When I asked Elizabeth to please trim my Mom's toenails (which grow fast and are very hard) she said she "knew best and that the length was best" Again, we kindly asked, since Mom always gets them shorter, and Elizabeth was very adamant about knowing what's best. Again, I asked and Elizabeth said in an aggravated tone that if she did she would "NOT be responsible for bleeding"! For which she trimmed and all went well. We were never offered a water to drink, although later, we saw other customers were offered water. They never came back to check on us, so we took off the toe dividers ourselves. They are very quick. And so was the leg massage. We usually over tip - and it pained me to leave a small $2.00 tip each... Trish is the best nail tech ever!! I feel so relaxed and beautiful when I leave. She said I'm relaxed because of her "sexy" voice....NOT!!! She gives an amazing foot massage and her manicures and pedicures are gorgeous. I drive from Tampa just for her.30 miles!! She is great!! My leg massage and especially the foot massage is not a light little tickle as others have done, Trisha knows exactly what she us doing, I so appreciate her technique. I am a person that finds so much joy and comfort in getting my nails done. The manicure I had done today at Crystal Nails Spa with incredibly disappointing in so many ways. I spent $50 for a manicure that not only left me unhappy but incredibly upset. This was meant to be my time out of the week to do some self care and treat myself. I had initially asked the nail tech if she could do a blue ombré on my nails. She let me know that my natural nails are too short and she couldn't do it, which was perfectly fine. I then asked if she could do the blue as French tips instead with the dip powder. Keep in mind, I have had beautifully done french tip dip manicures at other salons such as Aquastone Nails and Spa. When the nail tech let me know she could do it I was elated. The manicure went downhill from there as my tips were so thick and so sloppy that I was completely shocked she started putting on the clear finishing coat indicating that she was done with the design. It looked as if I was in the process of getting a French nail manicure and the nail tech finished without cleaning up the tips. She then tried to put a silver line which I suggested might make the tips look thinner. When she was finished I was so disappointed with the finished result. I went into my car and couldn't stare at my nails for more than 10 seconds without getting upset. I had the courage to walk back in and ask for them to redo the service and explained and showed the manager that it wasn't done correctly at all. They said they would redo my nails by painting over a gel color. I selected pink since it's my favorite color and knew there was no way a pink nail could leave me unhappy. The nail job was so horrendous that the blue is still peaking out and there's so much polish my nails are overly thick. What should of happened is that they removed the previous dip and replaced it with a solid dip color. I will definitely never be coming here again and I highly recommend you don't either. Worst nail experience ever. Seriously don't let them steal your money. read more

Crystal Nail & Spa is pretty much the only nail salon I will ever go to...because it is the best! The salon is ALWAYS sparkling clean, which is always an important consideration for me. The staff is kind, and the services themselves are enjoyable. The hot stone pedicure is my go-to treatment. The massage chairs are a treat...I could probably just stay sitting in them for an hour afterward. Crystal Nail also has a small fridge filled with beverages (soda, water, etc.) that patrons can serve themselves from...it's simple but it's a nice touch. They even have two mini pedicure chairs for kids - so cute! They have a wide range of nail colors available (most of them are O.P.I. products). I'm never at a loss for selecting something perfect. The prices are really reasonable too, in comparison to other nail salons I've been to in the past. If you're looking for a nail salon in the Palm Harbor area, don't go anywhere else. The husband is the one usually there managing the daily operation, managing the flow, making appointments and taking payments. He's rude and not at all what you would expect from someone in the service business. What sealed it for me was when I saw him one day standing at the front desk aggressively picking his nose. This is my favorite nail salon. This is in my hometown but I currently live away at school, so it's always a treat when I get to come back and get my nails done here. The pedicure chairs are crazy cool- full body massage (and I mean FULL- there's even a part that massages your butt hah). The hot stone massage you get on your legs and feet during the pedicure is awesome. The time and care they put into makin sure you're nails are done perfectly is so appreciated. I never post reviews so this is a first for me. I have been a client at Crystal Nail for at least 10 years. I go there because it is a convenient location and the girls are very good. However, the owner, Johnny is rude, arrogant, and very unprofessional. After all these years he has never said, hello, thank you, have a nice day.....nothing! The last straw was when I called to say I was running about 5 minutes late for my appointment and he actually hung up in my face. I work in a salon and this happens every day. We always thank them for letting us know. When I arrived they were very slow and of course, as usual, I got no greeting or acknowledgement. I just can't continue to give this man any of my hard earned money when there are so many nail salons that would appreciate my business. read more
