Crab Rangoon (4 pcs)
Terry O.

Being a cold day, we decided to order delivery from a new-to-us place, Crystal Jade. The menu is diverse and includes gluten-free, vegetarian, Vietnamese, Thai, Malaysian, Indian and Korean foods as well as traditional Chinese. I ordered vegan egg roll and crab Rangoon. Bookguy chose 7 Flavored chicken with fried rice. The chicken was cooked with lemongrass, peanuts, turmeric, hoisin sauce, chili, garlic and ginger. He thought it was okay, but probably wouldn't get it again because there was a sweet taste that didn't appeal. The fried rice was pretty standard. I liked the egg roll, but it was really greasy. It should have come with a side of my choice of steamed or fried rice, but it didn't so I had some of Bookguy's rice. I liked the crab Rangoon-- crispy outside and full of creamy goodness inside. It was an order of four, so Bookguy had one, which he thought was very good. There are a plethora of good Asian restaurants around and in the area of 72 and Cedar, this one is worth trying.

I think this used to be a village inn. The decor is not faux Chinese. As other people have mentioned, the service is not super friendly, but the food is excellent standard Americanized, Chinese selections

Got delivery from here last night. I got 2 egg rolls and their Amazing Chicken with fried rice. The egg rolls were your standard fair and the Amazing Chicken was good, as well. All in all, good solid Chinese but nothing crazy memorable

I usually drive by this restaurant daily and had never stopped in. Finally, today was the opportunity. I didn't expect a large crowd and there were plenty of parking spots out front. We were seated quickly and the menu was an mixture of different Asian cuisine. I ordered the dumplings and the spicy pork bulgogi dish. The dishes came out very fast. The not so good news was the amount of filler materials such as shredded carrots, celery, and onions took away from the dish. Overall, an average experience here, wondering if there are dishes that would be winners here?

Gluten free menu.

Their Malaysian food menu is very disappointing and this is the reason why I'm only giving a two star.

They have lots of ramen options on the menu, all customizable spice level and the option to add extra ingredients. There was a little wait time, but it was a Friday night around 7pm, so not surprising. The service was awesome! Our server answered all our questions and was quick with orders and refills on drinks. We started with Thai Tea and it was delicious! I love boba and the sweetness of the tea was a perfect combination with the pearls. For my main entree I had the Spicy Hokkaido spice level 3 and it was perfect! I wanted spicy, but not so hot I was hurting. 3 was great for me. They use chili oil, gochujang, and habanero for level 3 so it packs a punch! The overall flavor was delicious with a spicy finish to each bite, especially the broth. We ended with a complementary fried oreo which was as awesome as it sounds. The vibe in Hokkaido is very nostalgic with throwback tunes on the radio and lots of cartoon & anime characters incorporated in the decor. It's a really fun spot and we will definitely be back soon!

I could not taste the tea due to the overpowering milk, and the tapioca was somewhat hard and didn't seem cooked properly. The Ramen itself was delicious, however. They have many options for premade bowls and are also very flexible if you want to make your own. You can choose your own broth, meat, toppings, spicy level, etc. The Tonkotsu Shoyu broth tastes rich and flavorful.

The front door is where the cafe back door used to be. It's bright and airy with comfortable seating, some upholstered, some not. The front room can probably seat about 30, and there's another bigger room for events. The drinks case has various waters and kombucha plus grab and go treats, and there are cupcakes and other menu items on display. I ordered a blueberry muffin and coffee to stay with a peanut butter cookie to go. The prices are a little on the high side compared to regular bakeries. The muffin had a denser texture than standard muffins, but was full of blueberries and flavor. The server was pretty busy and forgot to bring my coffee after it was brewed, so I got it to go in a giant cup. When I came home later, I ate the best peanut butter cookie I can ever remember--a bit crumbly, nice crunch and perfect flavor. I look forward to trying more of their treats, gluten free for those who need that, just plain tasty for the rest of us.

If you are wanting a sweet treat, but are being a little health conscious or are on a high protein…read morediet or gluten free, then O Cookie Os might be right for you! They are definitely more donut like than cookie like, so don't let the name fool you. They are a wayyy more dense version of a donut, I'm guessing due to the added protein and good stuff they have in there. We stumbled upon them at a night market, and the proprietors were very friendly and explained each of the items to us that we were looking at. Their branding is super cute, with the cookies going in a little black and white box with a red bow and clear window showing you your goodies. We ended up ordering four O Cookie Os: -O Daddy O: This was a butterscotch flavor and it was VERY butterscotchy. If you're a fan of that flavor, you will love this one. It was a little dry for my taste, but once I had it with my morning coffee, it did go pretty well with that. -O Sunny O: The name on this one is very apt because it's a super "sunny" flavor, with an orange creamsicle taste. I don't usually like citrus and cream together, but this one actually worked well with that combo. -O Monster O: Just like a Monster Cookie! This one was my favorite and was most similar to a normal cookie flavor, with M&Ms, chocolate chips, and peanut butter. So good. The base is an oatmeal cookie style flavor, making it more crumbly than dense like the rest of the O Cookie Os we had. -O Sprinkly O: This one was like a sugar cookie with sprinkles on it, like a birthday cake. It was the most "mellow" flavor of all of the ones we tried, because of the light flavor of the sugar cookie base. If you're looking for a light flavored treat but with a lot of protein (11g!), then this could be your favorite. These aren't the same as normal cookies or normal donuts that you're probably used to; they are definitely more dense and have a little flavor of something added in, but that is the point of them. If you are on a gluten free or high protein diet, or just a little more health conscious, these could be a good sweet treat option for you!

The food tasted delicious, but we had a hard time trusting it after the napkin situation. The salsa was good, the "spicy" one just has some hot sauce added in. It was cool they brought out bean dip too. Margaritas were amazing. Staff was nice enough. It's interesting because it feels like the restaurant is trying to be a sports bar and a nice sit down restaurant at the same time. It definitely doesn't have sports bar prices. It was very hot, I couldn't eat much because of how hot it was, and we heard the table of 6 talking about how hot it was inside at the table next to us too. It's also extremely loud in there, no music just the sound of clanking dishes. Overall it was good, I'd probably go back for margs and maybe an app to share, however I have a lot of other Mexican restaurants to try in Lincoln first.

Our waiter was fun, funny, and really added to the overall vibe of the evening. The margaritas were fantastic -- the best skinny marg I've had, perfectly balanced and definitely worth ordering (maybe more than one ). The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that the queso wasn't served hot, which was a bit disappointing. Everything else was spot-on, though, and I'd absolutely come back -- especially for the service and those margaritas!
