Because what a relaxing experience! I have discovered that one of my favorite ways to relax and reset is to sit in a dark cave, surrounded by tons of Himalayan salt. It's called halotherapy, if you want to be fancy, and it's also called "salt cave" if you want to be less fancy. A few years ago, when I visited a salt cave for my first time, I fell asleep during my session. Do you know how difficult it is for me to nap? Let alone nap in a salt cave?! I knew I had found something special after that session. This time, I did not fall asleep, but I luxuriated in that comfortable in-between twilight stage of being awake and being asleep. I probably could have fallen asleep, but I wanted to be awake to enjoy every second of my salt cave experience this time. There are two different salt caves. They don't mention the sizes of the caves on the website, so I'll mention it here! The Harmony Cave is located downstairs and is the biggest salt cave. This one can hold several people. The upstairs cave is the Tranquility Cave, and it is smaller, although I haven't seen it myself. Keep in mind that, unless you book a private session, if someone books at the same time that you do, you might be in a salt cave with other people that you don't know. That wasn't the case for me, though. The cave is so peaceful and dark! There are chairs with electromagnetic fields pulsating out of them, and blankets that you can use to be snuggly and ultra cozy. The chairs recline, so you can lie completely down or elevate yourself to whatever degree you're comfortable. Sessions are one hour, and that hour goes by very fast! The spa itself is impeccably cute. There's a gift shop as soon as you enter, with lots of things like salt stones, lip balm, candles, jewelry and many other things. The whole place is spotless and inviting, and the perfect place to visit when you want to relax.

I'd been passing it quite a bit lately since I've been heading out west to work on my parents' home. However, it seemed like my timing was always off. I finally got a chance to stop in. I believe this is located in an old Walgreen's. It's still got the basic design, though signage is New Age-lite with rainbows and cliche'd messaging. Because it's an old Walgreen's, the front door is accessible and there are curb cuts, however, the interior is definitely hit-and-miss in terms of access primarily due to the amount of items and how they're laid out. All My Relations operates under the central idea that we're all related and the founder, Heather), desired to create a place where all could feel welcome. The shop started in Speedway, though moved to this larger spot on Rockville Road. As a devotee of Inner Path (including the spot at 86th and Ditch that used to be New Age People), I'm a fan of this type of shop and I will at times stop in just for the energy. I nearly always get incense as I use incense a lot. So, how about this shop? In short, it's okay. There were a handful of customers in the shop. There's a pretty good collection of stones, decent options for incense, candles, figurines, etc. Some of the prices are quite good. Some prices are quite ridiculous. For a New Age shop, experience matters. I found the experience to be fairly middling. Employees felt like their chakras were constipated and there was more of a sound byte knowledge when it came to spirituality. When I inquired about stones to help grief, the answer was pretty hit-and-miss. I wanted to feel energized here and for it to feel like a healing environment, but it really didn't feel that way to me. It felt like some of the items were inconsistent with the stated aims, however, even the more spirituality-centered items felt poorly presented. I don't know. This wasn't quite what I was hoping for, however, it wasn't a bad experience at all. It was just solidly mid-range for me. All My Relations offers a variety of services and classes, though it's difficult to learn much about them on the website. The calendar itself is a bit more helpful as you can at least figure out what's going on for the month. As a Reiki Master myself, I'm pleased to see them offer both Reiki classes and healings. My favorite places here - dried herbs, figurines, and skulls. They do offer free shipping on sales over $100. They offer returns if it's under 30 days (with some exceptions noted on the website). I wouldn't say this is a destination spirituality/metaphysical shop, however, the westside doesn't have much like it so it's nice to see its presence here. With some better defining of its offerings, improved knowledge with employees, and a stronger focus on the shopping experience this could become a destination shop for Indy's far westside and even into Hendricks County.

A year or two ago, New Age People adopted the same name as its sister store on the southside - Inner Path. Quite honestly, I think the name Inner Path is a better reflection of what it has always been about. While New Age spirituality is certainly a part of it all, it's far from a comprehensive description of what is offered here. This is located in a large strip center. It's directly next to where Stein Mart used to be. There's a curb-cut almost directly in front of it. The doors are kind of heavy, though the employees here are always helpful. Inner Path is definitely a spirituality and self-help store with a comprehensive approach toward spirituality ranging from Christian to Eastern religions to New Age to any number of other paths. What can you get here? Clothing, jewelry, crystals/stones, candles/incense, books, psychic readings, a wide variety of religious items/statues, and a whole lot more. You can take classes here (this is where I became a Reiki master) and get various services. I've been a longtime fan of New Age People and now Inner Path. This time around, I did notice the store was a LOT more crowded toward the back and less accessible than usual. This surprised me (and somewhat disappointed me) as they've historically been remarkable. I used to be a more frequent shopper, though I now live in the Lawrence area and simply don't make it around here as much.
