I had long been curious about All My Relations, a "rocks and gifts shop" emphasizing more alternative forms of spirituality with an emphasis on New Age. I'd been passing it quite a bit lately since I've been heading out west to work on my parents' home. However, it seemed like my timing was always off. I finally got a chance to stop in. I believe this is located in an old Walgreen's. It's still got the basic design, though signage is New Age-lite with rainbows and cliche'd messaging. Because it's an old Walgreen's, the front door is accessible and there are curb cuts, however, the interior is definitely hit-and-miss in terms of access primarily due to the amount of items and how they're laid out. All My Relations operates under the central idea that we're all related and the founder, Heather), desired to create a place where all could feel welcome. The shop started in Speedway, though moved to this larger spot on Rockville Road. As a devotee of Inner Path (including the spot at 86th and Ditch that used to be New Age People), I'm a fan of this type of shop and I will at times stop in just for the energy. I nearly always get incense as I use incense a lot. So, how about this shop? In short, it's okay. There were a handful of customers in the shop. There's a pretty good collection of stones, decent options for incense, candles, figurines, etc. Some of the prices are quite good. Some prices are quite ridiculous. For a New Age shop, experience matters. I found the experience to be fairly middling. Employees felt like their chakras were constipated and there was more of a sound byte knowledge when it came to spirituality. When I inquired about stones to help grief, the answer was pretty hit-and-miss. I wanted to feel energized here and for it to feel like a healing environment, but it really didn't feel that way to me. It felt like some of the items were inconsistent with the stated aims, however, even the more spirituality-centered items felt poorly presented. I don't know. This wasn't quite what I was hoping for, however, it wasn't a bad experience at all. It was just solidly mid-range for me. All My Relations offers a variety of services and classes, though it's difficult to learn much about them on the website. The calendar itself is a bit more helpful as you can at least figure out what's going on for the month. As a Reiki Master myself, I'm pleased to see them offer both Reiki classes and healings. My favorite places here - dried herbs, figurines, and skulls. They do offer free shipping on sales over $100. They offer returns if it's under 30 days (with some exceptions noted on the website). I wouldn't say this is a destination spirituality/metaphysical shop, however, the westside doesn't have much like it so it's nice to see its presence here. With some better defining of its offerings, improved knowledge with employees, and a stronger focus on the shopping experience this could become a destination shop for Indy's far westside and even into Hendricks County. read more

I wish I had read reviews before checking this out. Since it's clearly not a boutique type setting, I thought maybe I'd save a little money on some great gifts. I was wrong. As others have said, the store seems to be a hodge podge of things. Half the store is clearly secondhand items that have nothing to do with metaphysical interests. I get the impression that there are multiple "vendors" in this space? That would be ok, but it's not organized well and gives an air of garage sale. There are signs all over the front door about what they allow and don't allow in their store, large handbags and backpack style purses are not listed as not allowed. A women who walked in behind me was asked to leave her purse with the employees behind the counter. I'd have walked right back out. The employees didn't appear very knowledgeable or helpful. I needed help with looking at some rings that I was interested in. He did pull out what I asked for and was polite. I chose a ring and let him know I was going to do some browsing for other gifts that I had in mind. Their Oracle and Tarot deck selection is miniscule and unimpressive. Prices are more than my favorite, nice boutique feeling metaphysical shops, and that really turned me off. Selection is poor. I was terribly unimpressed. I did love the ring that I had picked out for my daughter though, so I made my way back up to the front to pay. The couple in front of me were purchasing a couple of handfuls of very small stones that all had price tags on them. They remove and keep all price tags, so she was very slowly removing each and every sticker from each stone and then polishing the sticky stuff off each tiny stone, worth a couple dollars a piece. She announced to all of us in the long line that formed, several times, that she had just polished her nails with glitter the night before and she was NOT going to ruin her hard work by using her nails to quickly remove the stickers. Instead, she slowly picked at them with some tool. After waiting at least 15 minutes for her to do this, it was finally my turn. She presented the ring I had chosen, unboxed, and just plopped it down on the counter. I had to ask for a box, and she acted completely put out and annoyed by my desire for a box for a nearly $200 ring that I'm purchasing as a gift. They didn't have any ring boxes and just provided me a generic box with cotton fill. I tried. But I won't return. read more

Finally visited after passing by for years. Was in search of some crystals and they did not disappoint. The sore has a lot more stuff than I was expecting. I chose several different pearls. I wish they could package the crystals separately. I had one I bought and forgot which specific one it was and had to do some research. The two ladies behind the counter are very friendly. Don't go into the store without a plan otherwise you'll overspend....not that that's a bad thing!! read more

My daughter was in here yesterday and had an AWFUL experience. The employees were absolutely rude to her and her friends. As a place that should be healing, shame on you. Although the card she was trying to use was declined, it was declined because I had lost my wallet and locked the card. It would have taken 2 minutes for me to get to a place to unlock it for her. To qualify my review, I'll say that I shop at New Age people on the north side at least once a month. So what I perceive as the target audience for All My Relations is me. But I'm definitely not it. Have you ever gotten lost in your grandma's basement among all the weird schtuff she has down there and then discovered some leftovers from her hippie phase 50 years ago right next to your grandpa's old rock collection and some old pop novels? Well everything I just described is at All My Relations and in that same order! Even weirder was the lady working the counter. When I came in, she kind of blocked me off and asked what I was looking for. I'm not generally described as intimidating or threatening in any way. But she acted like I walked in with a ski mask on. As I browsed, she checked in on me a few times. Finally she just stood at the other end of the pile of flee market stuff I was looking at and stared at me for what felt like 5 minutes (but was probably 45 solid seconds). It was weird. If you like flee markets, you might dig on this place. If you're into positive New Age vibes, don't go anywhere close to it. read more

I came here with a friend that is very into crystals given that there aren't a lot of options near downtown Indy for those types of products. Upon entering, it looks like it was a spot that took over a Dollar General store and was filled with your great aunt's or grandma's belongings that you found in her basement/attic (as Aaron B stated). First off, there is just too much stuff in there. It's insanely overwhelming and they need to decide if they want to be a store filled with random, outdated (and not very good) antiques or crystals/rocks/stones. The manager(maybe owner?) was there when we were they and she was smudging the place. The thing that really irked me the most was I had recently gotten a bracelet with lava rock beads on it (not at this store). I am entirely new to this whole rock/crystal thing, so she asked me if I had aligned my chakras before adding this onto my wrist. I responded no, and she continued to make me feel as though I was the dumbest person for even trying to get into this stuff since I didn't know the "basics." I thought it was very rude and not professional at all. If you're in this business, there are going to be newbies. Don't scare them away - rather welcome them! She did add some essential oils onto the beads and taught me that trick, which was nice. Overall, the place is filled with too much random stuff that needs to be reevaluated and determined if it's worth keeping there. it's so unfortunate i have to leave this review. i've shopped here for years. bought my first crystal here. recommended to all my friends. recently purchased what i thought was a genuine natural crystal bracelet. it turns out it was unfortunately an artificial stone. we went to simply make an exchange as these things happen sometimes and was met with pretty awful energy from Candy. she explains that even though it's artificial, it was made the same way it forms naturally...which still lends itself to not being what we thought we were purchasing. she was unwilling to help us make the situation right and i will not be shopping here again. if they aren't willing to make amends for selling an artificial item, that trust is broken. be cautious with whatever you're purchasing. for a place named All My RELATIONS it's pretty terrible they'd handle a long time relationship so poorly. be blessed. read more

They also have weekly classes or seminars on spiritual/new-age topics. I stop there to browse every once in a while and pick up incense or some knick-knack. If you're looking for this kind of stuff, I can't imagine a more all-inclusive joint to check out. I spent a full hour here, just because I needed to waste time between doing one thing and another, and almost left with an armfull of geodes, crystals, trinkets and incense. Personally, I don't need any of it so I ended up pairing down my selection to a used Agatha Christie novel and two different sized geodes. It rang up to less than $4, so I really can't complain. Unfortunately I don't have tools heavy-duty enough to open the large geode, but I like the idea of not knowing what's inside. ;) Someday I'll borrow a friend's hammer and chisel. Half of the store is the astrology/holistic stuff and the other half is a thrift shop. read more

Fist I will say they do have a lot of crystals however every crystal in that store is extremely overpriced. I buy a lot of crystal and there is no way I could justify buying not even one small crystal in that shop. I mean they are charging 26.00 for the same crystal bracelet you can get anywhere for 10.00 or less. They definitely charge more then most crystal stores in Chicago. So in the age of Trump, I should have known better! I awakened with great hopes of buying crystals and I did. However, my experience was less than ideal. The older woman shamed me because of the handwriting on my To Buy list that I handed her. She said, "Who wrote this? She is beautiful." I replied, "my sister" to avoid the awkwardness that I had written the list. Ugh. People and their assumptions & projections. She did help me pick out some crystals. Then the other younger girl with glasses and I were discussing candles. She helped me pick out some great candles then told me "we'll hold them at the counter for you." CODE: YOU'RE BLACK & WE BELIEVE YOU WILL STEAL THEM! While this happened, a white female shopper had items in her hands and she didn't tell her we'll put the items at the counter. My MONEY AND TIME are just as valuable as your white patrons! What is it about Indiana? I figured a crystal store would be somewhat more liberal & kind! Ha... The thing that really bothered me was that while I'm conversing with the first woman who was helping me find crystals, she kept staring at my eye brows, then my mouth- like analyzing me. If I had of done that to her she would've called the police out of irrational fear of harassment! We were talking about my sister and her spirituality and seemingly enjoying the conversation. She then offers me a hug. I, out of courtesy, agreed. But I thought how odd! She held the hug a little long too. Something was very off about that hug and her energy from the moment I walked in. As I left, I really felt that something was very strange about my experience and that woman. She treated me like I was a unicorn with a horn in the middle of my forehead or an alien who just landed the spaceship out back and she was oddly fascinated or secretly a saddist. This store will bring out the geologist in you. They have beautiful stones, crystals, gems galore. The owner was very attentive and promptly asked if I needed help finding anything. She did not carry what I was after but promised to have it in store after the holidays. The store is very diverse also offering antiques, collectables, and jewelry making supplies. Salt Lamps are also sold here said to clean the air....perfect for those who suffer from asthma. read more

This place is great for crystals and stone work material. I have yet to buy any pentacles, dreamcatchers, or candles but that is a definate thing on my list next time I go. This place is great for really any religion or tradition. the crystal balls are a bit pricey but I'm pretty sure that any size crystal ball would work for what you need. I had frequented this store several times before this incident. I thought that even though the prices were high for most things, it was worth it because it was a local business. Anyway, like I said, I had come to this store before with my almost 3 year old and 5 year old and my husband. I always carry a medium-sized diaper bag. It had never been a problem in this store. We always purchased at least $150 worth of products. I like to stock up, haha. On this particular day, it was just about 10 days or so after our last visit because I had some particular items I had saved for. My family and I walked in the store and started looking around, as usual. One of the employees RAN up to me and said that I couldn't have my bag in the store. I said that it was my diaper bag, and we came in all the time. And it had never been a problem. She said we had to put it behind the counter or put it in my car. As she was saying this, she was becoming more and more hostile to me, and was also side-eyeing my husband who had my son in a carrier on his back. She was saying we shouldn't have that, either. Like, what? What in the world?? I was 34, my husband was 40(this was 1.5 years ago). We are a standard middle-class family and were dressed normally. I don't know why I was treated this way. I put my bag behind the counter, but was so annoyed that I did not even purchase the things I came for, and just got more and more angry the more I thought about it. The hostility was atrocious. Even after I put my bag behind the counter, I kept turning around and one of them was standing behind me. I'm not saying they are racist, but I don't know what else it could have been. I'm brown, my husband is white, my kids are mixed. It could also be because of my pagan necklace I wear. I know some people still freak out about that kind of thing. I don't know. Also, I don't let my kids touch things, and even I barely handle things unless I'm planning on purchasing it....Anyway, I only purchased the $5 toys my kids wanted. They lost a $300 sale because of that foolishness. And I have not been back to the store since that incident. I would recommend Spiritual Gardens on the south side instead of this place. i've been going to All My Relations since about 2005. I"ve gone to their wednesday night meditation groups, and they were always very interesting, informative, and I made some friends that I"ve kept. i've taken a couple of the classes, heather's crystal classes and Jim's healing class (awesome!). the reader's i've seen are Jim and Shanika, who were both great! Some of the staff are nicer than the others........but that won't stop me from buying what i consider to be the best place to buy stones here in Indy. decent prices, and heather takes a lot of pride in selecting her stones. great energy in the store. love their new location. thumbs up! read more
