Starsiak didnt do any kind of x rays, scans, or measurements, nor did he prescribe any drugs, which is great. I am not one for allopathic modalities such as scans, drugs, surgeries, etc. But Starsiak did not administer anything meaningful either, such as physical adjustments nor prescribing exercises and techniques. What he did was basically laid hands on me for about 45 minutes, and then gas lit me on what he thought was the root of my issues. He parroted back to me what i had already told him during the evaluation phase, but he added a layer of osteopathic jargon to the parroting, maybe to give an air of legitimacy. The ambiance of the office is nice - - because I will say that the decor of the office and examination room are very comforting and conducive to relaxation. But from my experience, he is not psychic nor does he have special healing powers. I chose Starsiak in the first place because i had read such good reviews about him. So I gave Starsiak a shot, but sadly it was a total waste of money and time and his services are not cheap . I should blame myself for the lack of results because I apparently do not have a strong enough self healing imagination. Or maybe the guy just did not like me personally when he met me, so he decided to not grace me with his special healing powers? But he did accept my payment for services so I don't know, it is just a mystery to me why there are so many positive reviews from various individuals opining that Starsiak is a legit healer. I advise anyone that has cranial or musculoskeletal issues to get physical therapy from a PRI practitioner (Physical Restoration Institute). PRI is the future of physical therapy. I have tried all kinds of stuff over the past 30 years, and PRI is the way to go. But there are no PRI practitioners in Indianapolis because the modality is fairly young, and was founded only about 40 years. The nearest ones are in Chicago, Louisville, and Cincinnati.

I've seen DOs and PAs at this office, and I've always felt like they take time each visit to listen to my problems. They will offer Western medicine solutions, as well as Eastern (they provide acupuncture in-office) and other natural remedies. Mostly, I like coming here because they block out an entire 30 minutes for your appointment, and they really do take the time to listen. It's very rare to find doctors who will listen. On one of my recent visits, I found out that the doctor I was visiting has a therapy dog accompany her when she visits patients! My anxiety about doctor visits is usually through the roof, but having a doggie there to pet and gaze lovingly upon during my visit really helped center me. From now on, I 100% always want a dog be a part of every doctor visit. I've never had to wait very long in the waiting room, nor in the smaller room, to see the doctor. Every time I've been there, they have scheduled their appointments well so that there wasn't too much waiting time.

I relied on that information when I decided to receive treatment there. Years later, that promise has not been honored, and I feel that I was given misleading information to get me through the door. I was billed around $400 per day, even though my sessions did not always last a full hour and were sometimes much shorter. Based on my experience, the way the services and billing were explained to me did not match what actually happened. I consider that misleading and believe their advertising and promises about costs were not clear or accurate. I have waited patiently for years trying to get this resolved. I also called several times and did not receive return calls. That made me feel like my concerns only mattered when money was involved. In my experience, this practice gave the impression that patient care came first, but the way my billing concerns were handled made me feel that collecting money was the main priority. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this place get every statement about pricing, session length, discounts, insurance, and bill negotiations in writing before agreeing to treatment. I am sharing this because I do not want another person to make a major financial decision based on promises that may later change. I will continue documenting what happened, seeking legal advice, and considering complaints with the appropriate agencies regarding the billing practices and representations that were made to me.

Rather than attempting to have a conversation about the treatment she is prescribing, she gives you "generalized" papers that appears as though they were just copied from a book. The patient is pressed quickly for payment and feels rushed out of the office. Voicemails (questions) and online questions go unanswered. It makes the patient feel unvalued and unimportant. I have never seen any office staff or other patients in the office while I am there. Seems very odd. She has had conversations with her vendors/computer providers with me in her office. She was very pushy to the point of being extremely rude, not to mention a waste of my time. While I value her expertise in her field, I cannot continue to go to her. She doesn't know how to run a medical practice, which is sad, given her obvious knowledge of her subject matter.
