My landlord hired Crystal Clear Cleaning Service for cleaning all the front windows of the apartment building I live in. Brand new windows, only a year or two old, looked great after the cleaning job. Afterward​, little stars glinted in the glass struck by sunlight. They did a fantastic job of leaving my very old and very dirty windows looking smudgy, unclean and untouched after they did their "work" and even left a crack in the bottom pane of one of them as well, reporting the incident to no one, least of all me. read more

Not sure what's going on with these guys. I have been a reasonably loyal customer using them twice in two years for power washing. This year I scheduled them for another cleaning at 8am. By 9am no one shows up. I send an email asking what's going on. I get a call back saying the machine broke and they can't do it today. Ok, I get that, it happens. But why no contact until my email? "Well, the guy came to your house and knocked on the door and rang the bell." No he didn't. Both my wife and I are working from home today and so we've had two people within five feet of the front door since 6:15am this morning. "Oh so he must have gone to the wrong door then." Ok, sure he did. Things break and that's no big deal. But why not just say you screwed up? Why get so defensive when you've obviously made a mistake? We're going to find a new power washing company. For more than 5 years, I have been a customer of this company. I have even referred them to my neighbors. Two years ago, I had the first small problem. I had just painted my house, and after they pressure washed my pavers, there was dirt splashed up on my siding. In the past, they had always wiped it down. They were very nice about it and gave me a small discount for my time to clean it up. The owner apologized, said he had lost his best guy, and would fix it. The next year, all good. This year, I had them scheduled for a weekday at 8 am. Like a lot of people during this pandemic, I'm working from home, so I had to budget time for their arrival and some communication on the project with a full morning of conference calls. They showed up at just before 10 am, blowing up my morning. No calls to tell me their status. Didn't know when they were coming, or if they were coming at all. When I called the office, I only got voicemail. I will admit, I was not happy and wasn't shy about expressing it (no profanity, I promise). Since were still self-quarantined, I had a list recapping the job (nothing different that what I discussed with the office manager). Brief apology, then an excuse that he wasn't able to contact his office. Not sure why his office challenges justify a 2-hour inconvenience to a repeat customer but apparently it does. Then the owner said he was leaving. So I said something to the effect of "Look, this is a stressful time for everyone. Can you just please get the job done?" We spent an hour yesterday clearing our furniture off the decks to prep for him, stacking it all in my living room. I really didn't want to move it back outside, then inside again when I could find and schedule another vendor. He said "OK". Then 10 minutes later, he drove off. No communication. Who treats a longtime customer that way? There's a reason their Yelp reviews are dropping -- I found out there was an ownership change. So don't believe their average review -- look at the trend. I have not actually had the service yet.....I took the day off to have them clean the inside of my windows. My issue so far is that they rarely if ever answer their telephone and rarely return calls when messages are left (I have left many with no call backs). I sure hope the service is better, if and when they show up. Signed...very frustrated with customer service. If I could give 10 stars I would! I found Crystal Clear on Yelp! and also through the the Diamond Certified Directory. The caveat to great reviews is the 2+ week wait for an appointment just for the estimate. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait!! By the way, This was for a pressure washing job. No windows. Joe was 10 minutes early for the scheduled meeting at a house I was getting ready to rent out. He's a very down to earth guy and easy to talk to. You feel like you've known him for a long time after just a few minutes talking to him. He really knows his work as well. Within 5 minutes, he gave me a very reasonable quote. At the time of the scheduling, the lady on the phone did let me know that the actual work itself may be another 2 weeks out. Joe did tell me that he is fully booked but because my job was pretty small. he would squeeze me on the coming Sunday. I was ecstatic! Agreed! Here's the part the blew me away. 2 days later, it was a Friday morning @ 9am........I drove over to the house to meet with some prospective tenants. What a surprise to see Crystal Clear's truck parked in front with Joe in his waterproof overalls ready to work! I questioned our Sunday agreement...... he told me he had time this morning and thought he would take care of my place today instead of Sunday. How awesome is that?! He certainly made me look good in front of the prospective tenants! They were happy to see I was investing money into their new home. Couldn't have asked for any service better than Crystal Clear Window Cleaning! I would highly recommend them and will be using them in the future. Thanks again Joe! The results were also better than expected. Super clean walkway, driveway, and entire side of the house including the gutters. read more

It takes technique to get a nice streak-free window. Times that by 12 x 20 feet and you have my loft windows. This is something I cannot do by myself. Joe did the loft windows, our patio door and our upstairs picture window cleanly and professionally. I was so glad he was able to squeeze us in too. And, that's the primary reason why I'm writing this. I was so impressed by their work on the other units over the years and the work they've done outside our deck, that I had to ask him if they had time to do the interior of our unit. I was so glad he could make it happen. Crystal Clear was originally scheduled to do the building's outside windows and we would have to hire window washers to do our windows on the inside. Since we had the time and money, we offered to pay up front and I am so glad we did it. He was very accommodating and kind. I'm looking outside my window and the glass looks like new--I'm lucky because window glass can get dull over time. It's window glass after all and while I am not a glazier, I know that materials like lime, aluminum dioxide, magnesium oxide or sodium carbonate have been known to be added (I asked my dad what window glass was made of when I was a kid). I'd recommend getting your windows professionally cleaned at least once a year if you have large windows--I don't have much of a view, but it makes such a big difference with clean windows. I also have a hunch it's good Feng Shui too. But, I'm just guessing. When they do our building again, I am scheduling them for interior window cleaning and power washing on our deck. I would recommend him highly, and, I hope people who I've recommended him to pass along his name. They are all real sweet. The place feels a lot brighter. (Thanks, Joe!) read more

Well, today we received a voice mail from Crystal Clear Window cleaning. In a complete 180, they now agree with us, that the job was rushed and sloppy. Apparently today they don't want to lose us as customers and have offered not to charge us for the now admitted terrible job. As ethical customers we have decided to pay them half the amount as they did a job, although a bad one. We still have decided to discontinue business with them. As customers of many years it is very sad that they were only willing to admit what happened once we went public through Yelp and Diamond Certified. I no longer feel comfortable having them in my home. read more

I couldn't believe the sparkling-clean look of our windows after Jose at Crystal Clear finished climbing decks and rooftops and ladders to get at our old house's many dirty and cobwebby windows. He pulled them out, he used a razor blade when needed, he cleaned the screens too and in some cases he had to scrub pretty hard, but he left the place gleaming with nary a drop or footprint left behind. Crystal Clear did a great job powerwashing the outside of our house, doing the windows, etc. The owner was onsite at the job the whole time. They showed up on time, the team was supervised, they were very careful to wear shoe covers inside the house and everything. Even warned me that I needed to line the windows with towels as water can splash inside (which it did). Just a really good job. Highly professional and responsive. Great people to work with - they were responsive and even managed to fit us in pretty much last minute during the busy season when they had an unexpected opening. It's sometimes a pain to deal with companies who contract with the building management company, but we didn't have that problem with them at all. They removed all the dirt and grime that had accumulated over the years leaving me with a refreshed exterior. I seriously thought twice about going forward with a paint job. I had an excellent experience with Joe and his assistant. Highly recommended. He worked with us to clean our four-unit building, including windows and decks. It had not been cleaned in over four years and was particularly dirty. Some of the decks had been splattered with stucco from a sloppy stucco job, and we accumulated lots of road grime from a busy street. They arrived promptly, and did a great job on the building, decks, and windows. Afterwards, Joe walked me around and pointed out some areas of the building needing repairs. They were quick to respond and come out for a quote. I was not here for the quote because I was at work. They only quoted the stucco (should've read better) and neglected to quote the entire house so the rock front of the house didn't change after the $1750 charge. Windows are clean on outside, but don't look clean because water got inside and windows are still dirty. I also had to make sure once the dirt was dripping down the columns that the workers cleaned it up - he kept telling me it was a permanent mark when it was actually dirty water from cleaning the dirt. When I emailed to question the front, she just kept writing me back saying it wasn't on the quote - offered no fix whatsoever. read more
