Take all warranties, and contracts to a lawyer for review first. This is such the case that we found with Radiant Pools, the warranty was not honored, and workmanship was atrocious. Buying a pool is a serious and costly decision for a homeowner. After months of research and a phone calls, we settled on Radiant Pools. Information of two pool dealers in our area were provided to us by Radiant. Upon further research we found out one had negative reviews with the BBB and the other had positive reviews for their store but didn't see anything about installations. We now know why. The dealer, A & J Pools in Brodheadsville, PA, hired an inexperienced installer, Zumba Pools of Wilkes-Barre to install our pool. The installer made a mess of our property and destroyed the concrete patio. They rushed to fill the pool with water leaving wrinkles and divots on the floor of the pool making it uncomfortable to walk on. Instruction manuals were not given to us, the dealer had to come back numerous times to finish the job, per the installation guide created by Radiant Pools, which to this day is still not complete. There are sharp edges and loose wires for the light that have never been connected. In the 8 weeks that we could use the pool it was winterized and covered per Radiant Pools documentation for the winter. Upon opening the pool this year, we noticed a large hole in the liner about 12 inches from the top. We notified the dealer, and Radiant Pools, and were told by both there is nothing we can do. We have signed contracts that the liner was warrantied for 1 year, but they continue to ignore and deny any kind of site visit to see if the pool was installed properly. If you'd like me share more of this story I encourage to contact via Messenger on FB~ Shelley Jaye https://www.facebook.com/shelley.jaye.5 Radiant Pools have turned off the option to leave a comment on their FaceBook Page. They removed our comment from their website. Quality Pools & Spas by Dick Mackey - My crystal clear pool that is now completely cloudy because of Mr. Mackey.

Quality Pools & Spas by Dick Mackey

I've owned my pool for three years. Every summer it has been sparkling, clear and clean. I went to…read morebuy chemicals for my pool right before the Fourth of July. Two of Dick Mackey's young employees ran a test on my water and sold me $200 worth of products one product I had never used, it was to pull metals out of the water. I put the product in my pool that night. Twelve hours later when we woke up my sparkling clear pool was COMPLETELY CLOUDY. My pool is so cloudy you can not see to the bottom. I went back to try and fix what had happened two consecutive days after that first visit and was told to do different things and sold more chemicals spending more money. I was so upset and frantic to fix this problem that had never occurred before that I bought more chemicals and followed more of Dick Mackey's instructions. The day before the fourth of July, three days into this ordeal, I confronted Mr. Mackey and was told by him "the smoke from the Canadian wildfires must be causing my pool to be cloudy,". What!? Absolutely not. The smoke in June that was worse NEVER affected my pool. I was sold a product that first day that should never have been put in my pool. I have a huge heater that has copper lines. Mr. Mackey then proceeded to blame ME for the cloudiness of my pool. He told me that I didn't read the directions properly on the papers he had given me, which was totally completely untrue. The papers had also been marked up by him, and his staff. I was told to do the opposite of what was written on the papers. I had the proof right in my hands. On top of Mr. Mackey's disrespectful behavior towards me, two young employees admitted wrong doing. One admitted on the third day he gave me advice on chemicals he should not of and the other who had offered to stop by after work to look at my pool asked me not to mention that he offered to stop by in front of Mr. Mackey "because Mr. Mackey may get the wrong idea". I never had this young man at my house but if that is against the rules why did you offer when I was in the store . On top of ruining my sparkling clear water I've had for three summers in a row, Mr. Mackey refused to let me return chemicals I bought from him In the three days I was at his store frantically trying to follow his instructions to clear my pool. These chemicals were unopened and unused and I had a receipt!? I'm so shocked at this man and his employee's unprofessional behavior, lack of knowledge, excuses, inability to take responsibility for ruining my water, selling me products I didn't need and overall disregard for his customer's distress that I had to write about my experience. The last slap in the face was when Mr. Mackey told me not to get so upset, "his pool has been cloudy all summer and he is still trying to get it clear". I'm sorry sir but my pool was never cloudy and if yours is as you stated you are doing something wrong and again should not be giving advice or selling pool supplies or hiring young kids to sell your pool supplies who have no clue what they are talking about either. I now have to hire a company to come drain and fix my water.

Mr. Mackey was able to answer any and all of my questions without hesitation. He is extremely knowledgeable about all spa aspects. We purchased a PDC biscayne luxury spa on July 24th. There is a 20 week wait, not due to quality pools but a shortage and backorder. We welcome the wait as we need to put a deck on and there is a lumber shortage now. This is also a PA company which i feel comfortable about. We cannot wait to receive our hot tub. Thank you Mr. Mackey! Will add to my review once spa is delivered.

They are professional and polite people. When they have been to our home for anything, we have been happy with them. The installation people are wonderful. This is what brought me in there, I was in need of a pellet stove. So anyway, I stopped in one morning and talked to Kristen, for no other reason than she's the lucky one that was at the counter when I got there. She spent a good solid half hour with me answering lots of random questions I had about pellet stoves. I probably took more time with her than I should have however she didn't seem to mind so it was all good. I did go ahead and purchase my pellet stove from here and the experience was very good. Now I will be the first to tell you that I am not the easiest person sometimes to deal with and a lot of that is mostly because of my schedule. Instead of calling Kirsten on the phone to iron out the final details I did 90% of it by email as I work overnights and sleep when their store is open. This worked out pretty well as between her and Shauna they got back to me in the next day and I had my answer that evening when I checked email. I arranged for installation and was even able to talk them into having me install guys show up a little earlier than they usually would, once again because of my work schedule. They were pleasant and professional and got the job done in just a couple hours. I have only had the chance to burn the stove a couple of times since having installed however I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend Johnson's pool and spas if the need arises. I am still waiting on delivery of 3 tons of pellets however I don't foresee any problems or difficulty with this is why I'm posting this review now. In addition to the installation they also come out every year if you require it to clean your stove for the next season, and I fully plan on calling them for this because, well I'm just that lazy.

I get so emotional seeing that handmade little wooden sign "Bennie's Nursery" as we make that left hand turn to head up the mountain. We then blast and sing Christmas songs as we venture up. Friendly smiles are waiting there to greet us. Each and every year they remember us, our story and where we are from. They always hand us a saw and ask "to the top of the mountain?". "Yes, indeed!!" That's where the most beautiful, tall, fragrant, fresh Douglas Firs sit, waiting to be picked and cut. You can of course just come and purchase one pre cut and wrapped, but what's the fun in that?! There's something so unbelievably satisfying in choosing and cutting down your own tree. It's all so exciting for us all for different reasons. The kids run around and dance, play tag and hide and go seek between the trees. Mission: find THE perfect tree begins. We used to find the absolute tallest one they had as we had 15 foot ceilings in our last home. Our trees were rather magnificent. Now we bring a wooden ruler they provide and get a 7-8 foot full, symmetrical beauty. My husband feels tough, saw in hand, ready to get his manly stance on and cut that baby down. I of course have to kneel down and make a few cuts also! Every cut counts after all. This Mama takes a step back and watches it all, thinking back on our visit for our very first tree we cut down here almost a decade ago. I was super pregnant and super emotional. Then I recall upon the following year there for the first time as a family. And then the following year pregnant again and having just revealed our big news to my husband's family at Thanksgiving. Of course then the following year as a family of four for the first time. The next year we visited with our first family dog we just surprised the girls with mere days earlier. The next year a new baby kitten awaits us a home to complete our happy family. Life always seems to be changing each time we visit but there are a few things that stay the same... how much we adore this tradition and how joy filled we leave this magical place each and every year. The service, quality and prices have never changed either. The staff is just wonderful! They are there to help you every step of the way. They will be as active or not depending on how ambitious you are. They are also more than willing to snap family photos. You can choose to drive up the mountain if you have a SUV or truck or you can ride in the back of one of theirs. We chose that this year for the first time ever. The kiddos were finally big enough to just hop in the back and sit on the hay bails. They loved it! Try it! After hauling your tree back down the mountain, the staff wraps it up and helps you tie it on top of your car. We used to bring our own rope but they also have some readily available so fear not. They write you out a ticket with the height, type and price and you pay at the hut. Cash only! The prices here are insanely reasonable especially for the size you receive! We can't believe the trees half the size and twice as much in the city back home. They have told us that they also provide and deliver trees for some pretty important people in NYC. Hot cocoa and cookies await us in the barn where fresh made swag and wreaths the wives of the workers make with extras that fall from the trees hang. You receive a discount on these items of you purchase your tree here. The smells of the cocoa and the pine needles fill the barn. The crisp mountain air all around. It's all so incredibly perfect. I love watching excitement on the girl's faces as they watch the most perfect tree being tied to the roof of the car, ready to head back down to Philly and eventually when it settles, ready to be decorated. It's all pretty special. We are so glad to have Bennie's be a part of our favorite holiday tradition for the past 9 years and years and years to come. No other place we would ever cut our tree! Cash only and don't forget extra for tip!
