Do NOT recommend Crystal Clear. They over charge on everything! Go to a different cleaning company if you can. When vacuuming they leave areas such as under carpets around the corners of the rooms left unclean when doing deep cleaning services they do not deep clean very well around the windows and tubs.etc. read more

Review I was profoundly disappointed by the work done for me by Crystal Clean who were highly recommended to me. I paid $400 for a deep clean of bathrooms, baseboards and hardwood floors in anticipation of a family visit that included a crawling baby since I'm almost 70 and it's hard for me to do it all myself. I have waxed hardwood floors that cannot be cleaned with water and I use a cleaner made specifically for that purpose. The Crystal Clean crew brings their own supplies and the contract specified that if you had a special need for a type of cleaner other than their usual supplies that you should notify the office to make sure that your need could be met. I called the office before signing the contract and was told to give the workers the cleaner I use and explain the process and they could accommodate me. The workers did a good job on the bathrooms- very thorough, no complaint. One worker spent an inordinate amount of time trying to scrub old sticky poster tac off of a bedroom wall. Not only was that not part of the remit of "bathrooms, baseboards and floors" as contracted, but she actually damaged the wall by scrubbing off the paint! See photo #1. The upstairs hall and downstairs floors are all waxed hardwood. I showed the workers the ample supply of floor cleaning fluid ( six bottles) and the mops I use. They said they understood how to do the job and I left them to it. The downstairs floors weren't completely vacuumed (see # 8) They did not use a sufficient amount of the cleaning fluid as I instructed them and as a result I was left with spots and splotches where they splashed the fluid and essentially dry mopped the floors. The floors were not "deep cleaned" by any stretch of the definition. I sent these photos to the office of the cleaning I had to do (2,3,4) AFTER the floors had been "deep cleaned" and received a reply that I couldn't expect my floors to be cleaned in one visit, and that I should look into hiring a professional floor cleaner! ‍ So disappointed. read more

Erica called us and left messages stating she wished to have a chance to make good on our arrangement. She had that chance and remains petty and combative. I edited my original post to now say $400.00 not $650.00 and 30-40 min. Per the conversation we had with her. That same conversation where we insisted the cleaners were only there for 30 min but conceded that it was up to and no more than 40 min. So, 30-40min Now this is a perfect example, Erica sent an email to my wife where she claimed this yelp review was, "publicly defaming to her and her company...". This is an intentionally litigious word That my wife and I have taken as she has a litigious, (law suit,) intent. Or an intent to intimidate us through the use of litigious jargon. In my original post you can see that the real dispute was over being overcharged for an hour of work and not even receiving an hour let alone the cost were we quoted for an hr. I am posting a screen shot of the email and I think it clearly shows that she is petty and had no intention of refunding the overcharge or making sure we got our full hour of cleaning. Devious, petty, ignorant, and dishonest. Worst of all, she can't even understand what good customer service and professionalism looks like, which is basically how we observed every single interaction with them. I wouldn't let them tell me which way the wind blows, let alone let them into my home ever a read more

Every time they came out to my house things were left undone. From the deep clean and on. Never did they offer to reimburse any charges. After the deep clean when things were not cleaned as promised, they did offer to come back out and finish, but I couldn't accommodate. But then every time after there were always unfinished things, and they never offered ANYTHING. They will not make sure it's done the the next time. They never cleaned my baseboards as stated in Deep Clean. Nor did they clean them the next time they came out as they promised. Last time they were here they didn't even sweep or mop my bathroom floors and left both bathtubs literally untouched. When I sent an email to them telling them YET AGAIN, I was told I would get a phone call the next day to discuss. Phone call never came of course. Discontinued services. Enjoy the defense they post under every negative review. It's BS. read more

Sadly, what used to be a 5-star experience has plummeted to 1-star. When I first used this service (2013-14), everything was terrific -- both front office coordination and cleaning. When I moved back to the area, I was looking forward to a continued great experience. Sadly, this time around, from start to finish, a series of missteps ensued: * two different people in the office not communicating with each other requiring repeated emails and an unnecessarily long delay in scheduling * overcharging for the service * taking over 1 month to issue the refund * cleaning team leaving my home unlocked The quality of the actual cleaning was good, but my home was left unlocked for two days while I was out of town. When I contacted the office about this and overcharging me, I was told the charge was correct and was offered a $4 discount on a $200+ cleaning as 'compensation' for leaving my home unlocked for 2 days. I felt this was insulting. When I asked to speak to the owner about the situation, she finally called me back (after my second request to speak with her) and did not seem to care about my negative experience. read more

I really wish I could give them ZERO stars. Let me tell you now, avoid this place at all costs or it will just cost you later. It cost us a bottle of Dom Perignon. Had my house been full of stuff; it could have cost us much more. They were hired to do a 'deep clean' on our home. It's 2500sq ft and it was empty. That day they were cleaning we were starting to move in a few things that we didn't want the movers to move for us such as some wine, champagne, wall hangings. We had about 5 boxes in there and some crates with alcohol; that's it. They charged over $700 to clean the house & this was a light mopping of the tile floors, wiping down the insides of drawers, etc. The actual cleaning was of average quality and not the deep clean we expected. We found grease on the fan above the stove, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, etc. after the cleaning. They did the windows and did a great job on those yet we found lots of dead bugs in the window sills after they left. It was a so so cleaning at best. That day they were cleaning my wife was moving in the wine and some other breakables. She had her life long friend helping her. They placed a bottle of 2009 Dom Perignon on our wet bar and most of the other alcohol. Was it a great idea looking back? No, obviously not. It was hectic, we were just moving in to an empty house, looking back I would have let them clean and then moved in. We were really only moving some of our breakables into one room because we didn't want the movers to do it. Anyway I came home from work and went to the new house and noticed that the Dom I saw at lunch time was not on the wet bar. We asked her friend if she saw it when she left and she said no and she remembered it sitting on the wet bar when she was there. We called the cleaning service owner. This is where my problem with them comes into play. The owner wasn't present onsite during the cleaning. After we explained our situation the owner immediately went on the defensive and in a really nasty way. I understand being defensive but at the same time she could have said "I wasn't at the job; I haven't had these issues with these people before, let me talk to the person in charge that did your job, etc." There was none of this. Instead she claimed "Two of the people there don't even drink" as if someone who doesn't drink might not rip off a $200 bottle of champagne. There were five people here and lets just say they didn't all look as if they were on the straight and narrow. The owner then tried to blame the pool guy. This pool boy maintained this pool for the previous residents for four years. Has had access to their home with a key for four years and has stolen nothing and has had a job at this pool company for four years with no incidents. Not only that but there were five cleaners in the house when he came in to get the pool key (we have a locking walk on auto cover he has to key into). He would have had to go to a different part of the house completely to even steal the bottle. The key was just inside the back door. The contract with the pool company was continuing with us so he was coming to clean the pool on a normal schedule. After talking to the pool guy my wife called the owner back again. She was rude on the phone and passive aggressive and snarky. She obviously doesn't have a care in the world that while her company was in our house that day with five people we lost an expensive bottle of champagne. She even had the gall to state "well do you have a photo of the bottle sitting on the wet bar to prove it was sitting there?" Seriously lady? Seriously? I saw it there. It was in the black decorative box that they come in new. First her claim was the pool guy stole it. Then it was that 2 of 5 employees 'don't even drink', then it was that she hires good people, then it was that we were lying altogether and could not prove it was sitting there. She asked if we could prove we even owned one. We have a receipt even (bought at Costco so they can look it up). We have witnesses that can attest that it was there. Ridiculous. She obviously DOES NOT SCREEN EMPLOYEES WELL and doesn't care about customers and needs to take a customer service class. Funny, I posted about this incident on my Facebook and a friend who owns a business that this company used to clean messaged me and said they stopped using this company because they frequently have shady people in their employment. Had the owner responded reasonably and been respectful she would not be getting this 1 star review right now. She could have had a stellar review if she'd handled this well. Would you take your chances and use this company? The owner of the company is unprofessional and rude. Hope you never have any problems with her people. Her reply is ridiculous. Just go ahead and try for yourself. LOL Be sure to take photos of everything you own "sitting there" just in case you need to justify it to Ericka later. read more

I don't typically write yelp reviews but felt I had to on this business. We had them come clean our home three times. Our home is 850 square feet, 2 bedroom 1 bath with just my husband there. We were quoted from $110-138 which seemed reasonable as they charge $55 an hour and we figured it would be about two hours. We have hardly any furniture or Knick knacks (no coffee table, no dressers, no display shelves). We discussed we would only have one person come clean vs. multiple girls as my husband has a brain tumor and wanted to be able to have one girl to communicate with and consistent cleaning. He also needed help with his laundry so we wanted one girl so there would be time for this. On our third visit she brought three girls and then charged us $193. First "deep clean" visit was only $160. She folded one small load of laundry and said the extra time was the large amount of clothes (check photo on this giant load) and dishes, which he owns 4 plates and four bowls. I am not sure what happened on this last service (my guess is we paid two girls to sit around while they finished the laundry), but when I was obviously upset about this price as it was not anything I was expecting or quoted previously, they still just went ahead and charged my credit card. I never would have hired them at this price. Be weary of this business, they will charge you whatever they want and will have your credit card on file to take your money. And they certainly do not listen to their clients. read more

Excellent work. Extremely reliable, honest and accepting of feedback. In fact, they leave a satisfaction card with every visit to keep close tabs on how the staff is performing! IMPORTANT NOTE: Negative reviews that require several paragraphs should be taken with a grain of salt. If a reviewer has a habit of posting such rants (= more than one), the review should be disregarded as too personal, the reviewer--perhaps a little hot headed? Yelp is a forum to help consumers, not punish small businesses. read more

This was a total rip-off. They didn't finish or do a good job. The areas they cleaned were still dirty and they didn't even clean under the area rugs. This was supposed to be a "deep cleaning" and they charged me $480! Plus, their office staff is very rude and has very poor, combative customer service. They only managed to clean a living room, one bathroom, the kitchen, and the dining room for that amount of money. They didn't even do the three bedrooms or the second bathroom. Not even the windows or the baseboards! This is only a 1400 sq foot house with 4 people living in it. Horrible - one of the worst experiences from a business. read more

Here goes my first-ever negative review, which I am compelled to share with others considering this service: I was very disappointed with my overall experience with Crystal Clear Home. The level of service, professionalism and follow-through left much to be desired. I asked for their highest level of service and was quoted what I thought to be a somewhat high price - but I decided to go for it. Yelp reviews seemed mostly positive and I did want to have my house deep cleaned. The cleaning team got there later than expected... and spent less time than was quoted. The bill was also 20% higher than quoted. On the day of the cleaning, we arrived back home, just as the team was leaving. The ladies were pleasant (if a tad awkward) and we thanked them for their service. If only we had checked the house before they left. There were cobwebs in half of the rooms (despite having been promised that all rooms would be web-free), some of the baseboards and cabinets were obviously untouched. Again, they failed to deliver as promised. There were many other small details that were missed but I won't bore readers of this review. Suffice it to say that we felt that we were grossly overcharged for the less-than-promised level of service that we received. Subsequently, I left a few messages for the service. After some time, I finally got a call back. When I calmly and very politely explained all of the reasons that I was not satisfied with the service, the lady I spoke with became immediately defensive. She never apologized. She never offered to make it right by sending the cleaners back to finish the work. She never offered a price adjustment. She merely said a very curt 'bye'. I am a business owner that takes immense pride in providing an extraordinarily great level of service, I have come to expect at least an 'acceptable level' of service. This, however, was a very poor level of service indeed. As my fiancee put it, "That's the worst $300 I ever spent!" read more

I've been using Crystal Clear for the past 6 months for my new business in Sebastopol. I have pleasantly found them to be quick, efficient and thorough. The staff in the office have been great to work with, the price has been consistent and reasonable, even when I added a few items to the list of what needed to be done. The cleaning staff have been very conscientious to complete the job before we open our doors in the early am for business. And even at 7am, the staff are warm and welcoming! I would highly recommend Crystal Clear Homes and will be using them for my home cleaning as well. Annie Carouba Bliss Organic Day Spa read more

Dependable and trustworthy. Besides doing a great job cleaning... they always seem to do a little extra! Highly recommended!

We have used Crystal Clear Home services for several years and overall are very satisfied. We are on a monthly schedule (down from 2x a month before sweetheart moved in and we got married), and a good basic cleaning monthly works for us. The crew, which could be one energetic young woman or up to three, is always friendly and efficient. The company always emails after the cleaning with invitation to rate the service and give suggestions for improvement. Ideally it would be nice to have the same crew each time, but we sympathize with the challenge of juggling workers with client demands. The crew members appear to be well-trained and respectful of clients' belongings and property. We particularly like when a full crew can be done in around an hour in our 1,500 sq. ft. ranch style tract house. Also, we appreciate the company's preference to use nontoxic cleaning products. read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. I have used three other cleaning companies in this area over the years & they always did an excellent job. I decided to use a locally owned company recently & so I choose Crystal Clear Home. They sent out three lovely ladies out for the task & I left them to it with every confidence they would clean everything on the list on the company's website.Wrong. They missed so many things on the list I lost count. And they also took much longer to clean my house than the other companies had for the same amount of work. I was stunned at how much they missed AND how much I was charged. My assessment ? Slow, lazy, expensive. read more

Our experience was terrible. The first deep clean left alot to be desired, the charges were over $300. They were asked not to clean one bedroom because a guest was there. The kitchen was fine but the hood over the stove top was greasy and un touched.it goes on and on.I.two follow up cleanings were lacking as well and over $250. wish they were more accepting of feedback , I felt like I was talking to deaf ears. read more

This was my first time engaging this company. A team of 3 women showed up and did a great job of cleaning my house. I think they were here one and quarter hours and did everything I expected them to do. It's worth mentioning that I have a lot of art and knickknacks and nothing was broken and most things were right back where they belonged. My house looked and smelled clean. Even my husband was very happy and that's saying something because he's even picker then I am. I love the flexibility of being able to have the same service each time or I can upgrade the whole service or just add a task or two. read more

This Sebastopol-based company is great. The cleaners are efficient and do a very good job. They are dependable because they employ lots of cleaners, and they adhere closely to the agreed schedule. Feedback is continually requested, which gives opportunities to raise concerns. The pricing is very fair and you can request various levels of cleaning. Really, "All good!" read more

I have been using the services of Crystal Clear Home for 5 years, and I was amazed to read the 1 star review and allegations about their honesty and professionalism. in the 5 years I have been with them I have had several different crews, and not once have I had any occasion to think any one worker was dishonest or would steal from our home. None of the workers who has come to my home would ever be described as "Shady"! The service I have received has always been more than satisfactory, and on the few times I have had a comment or question on the cleaning it has always been addressed promptly and politely. I contacted Crystal Clear because they specialize in Green Cleaning, and they always respond quickly to my comments or questions about environmentally friendly products. Erika, the owner, has always been friendly and businesslike when I have had a reason to call her. I really admire her because she has really grown her business during the past 5 years and we have a few conversations about her goals for the future and what she hopes to accomplish. One of the things we have talked about is finding good employees (I used to own my own business) and how important it is to screen applicants carefully. I can't express too strongly how I disagree with the comments of writer "Ty J." and how extremely different my long experience with Crystal Clear has been. from BB read more

Avoid this cleaning service at all costs. They charged us $240 for a deep cleaning of a 1300 square foot townhome that is less than 2 years old. There was a crew of three who spent two hours at the place. They worked off their "Priority list" which was sent to us days before the cleaning crew arrived. This list was supposed to prioritize specific areas we wanted the crew to focus on, i.e. Bathrooms and Kitchen given higher priority than hallways, closets etc. Any wall hangings, artwork and windows were omitted from the job; (our windows, screens & sills were cleaned a few days before by a window cleaning service) We also needed to limit the cost of the job and stay within our budget, which the rep at the company suggested. We felt a cap of $200.00 - $220.00 would be sufficient to clean our small place. In preparation of their arrival and to insure the focus stayed on our listed priorities, we made sure that all our photos and loose items were removed from tables, any clutter off the floor, as to save the crew time. After they finished and left, at first, it appeared that everything we wanted cleaned was completed. However, the next day we started noticing things that they missed or were not finished. They did not dust all of the furniture, wipe and dust the cabinetry, didn't finish cleaning the shower (soap film was left on the floor) and completely missed the top of the microwave and fridge. These items were marked by us on their "Priority List" paperwork. We immediately let them know, offering to send them photos of the missed areas. We would have given them a second chance, however, they did not call us back for almost two weeks after we notified them, we starting feeling like we were being ignored. They finally did return our call but offered us NOTHING but excuses, such as: "The girls don't work well off of a "Priority List". What???!! It's your companies own "Priority List"!!! Why offer it to customers if you can't have employees properly trained to work from it??!! It was also stated by the customer service rep that the girls don't work well with caps on the cost. Am I supposed to just let them work as long as they want and go over my budget? I would have considered using them for a monthly maintenance cleaning, but not now. It would have been professional of them if they would have offered maybe an hour of credit during the next cleaning visit, some sort of good will gesture, but nothing was offered except excuses. I wasn't asking for my money back, just address the problem. We've moved on to a different cleaning service that does a phenomenal job at half the cost. We feel that this company does poor and incomplete work. We were not completely satisfied! They have poor customer service and overcharged for work completed. BUYER BEWARE!!! I would be suspicious of any reviewers who have only one rating on yelp and gave this company 5 stars. read more

I have used Crystal Clear Home cleaning service for 5+ years. It is the only cleaning service company that I hire since then. I am allergic to commercial cleaning products. When I learned that they use environmental friendly products, I decided to give the service a try and they have always been satisfactory. They bring their own cleaning supplies and they are all eco friendly products, yet still managed to offer the service at a reasonable price range. The crew is very details oriented and thorough. They cleaned my place in a very timely and professional manner. They were very flexible about scheduling around my odd hours. They were able to fit me into a last minute appointment and did an excellent job. Sometimes I can't be home during the schedule hours, I trust them with leaving my house key behind. The test of a good cleaning service is a job well done; the test of a great cleaning service is consistency, and Crystal Clear Home really measures up! After using Crystal Clear weekly for several months now, I am still very pleased with the job they do and appreciate their consistency, thoroughness, and high standards. I chose this company after reviewing a number of options here in Sonoma County (Healdsburg). I wanted an organization that had clear standards that were reinforced with all of their cleaning teams; further, I wanted the team that showed up to treat me like a unique client (with a unique home). Each team has a team leader, and I have a team assigned to my home. Each visit the (same) lead asks me if there is anything different or if I have any comments about the last cleaning. (I happen to work at home so am here when they arrive.) The great thing is, because they achieve such high standards, I know they'll do a wonderful job. The team works efficiently, quickly, and with determination, with a "divide-and-conquer" approach, and their time here is always well spent, never rushed. Regardless of who is on the team (and they are all really good cleaners), the team leader makes sure the job goes well. They dependably do the core cleaning tasks/priorities well and usually add a special touch or address a specific thing (like a corner of a room or counter area) for extra attention here and there. I've been consistently impressed with their diligence and meticulous approach to my cleanings--very detail oriented with great (safer) products. After they are finished, the team leader does a quick walk-through and checks the job for quality. Soon after they are gone, the company emails a comment/feedback form, allowing for easy communication about how the cleaning went. It is always easy to reach someone in the office if there are questions, I appreciate their prompt and friendly replies, and the schedule is always clearly communicated. read more

I am disabled and in constant pain, and I can't clean, let alone to the standards I used to be able to maintain. I love that there is a company that cares so much that I don't feel ashamed of my physical limits. The peace of mind I get from Crystal Clear Home cleaning my home is not just from the licensing and insurance.... I'm pretty protective of my birds, and Kayla's the one I trust for sure when it comes to their safety. I wouldn't trust anyone else to treat my feathered children with the care and respect that Kayla and her crew provide them & me. I love the totality of care; it's not just cleaning. It's the importance that is placed on the well-being of the inhabitants. The only thing I'm certain of is that as my pain gets worse, my physical and mental abilities take a downward turn with it. It is unlikely that I will ever recover fully, meaning that I will always be in need of their services. Due to my disabilities I look forward to my house getting clean as only Crystal Clear can provide. Daily activities can be very difficult on some of my worse days. Knowing that the team is coming to do the things I can't is another source of peace of mind. Thanks to everyone there for being so helpful to me; it really means a lot.
