Classes are challenging, and go through a pretty standard barre format - warm up, with and without weights, thigh, seat work and core work. Some exercises require the ball, others don't. The classes do vary, so it's not the same each time even though the focus is on the same target areas. Individual attention is always paid for corrections! It is definitely a good workout. The other constructive feedback I have is, if they had showers I would be able to come in before my commute to NYC for work! Also, more early morning classes in that regard would help (6am/630).

I never want to set foot in the place again and they refuse to refund my money. It is also very difficult to book classes unless you have an unlimited membership. When you complain about this they are very rude and say "it is like that everywhere". If you can't book classes without an unlimited membership then that is all they should offer.

One instructor, Dorothy, has put me down for modifications that other instructors have taught me in private lessons. So I use them. She put me down before the class, so I emailed the owner. NO ANSWER for two weeks. She said they gave sensitivity training. So today, I took one of Dorothy's classes for the first time since then (I had no choice away for the next few days, and there was only one there today), and the same thing happened. Today, she told me I was doing everything wrong in front of everyone. She also rolled her eyes at me a few times. I am in my 50s and have problems, maybe more than most, but I should not have to feel embarrassed. I realize it's a business, and money comes first, but they need to have this sensitivity training and not just say they are. So, if you have any ailments of any kind, be careful which class you go to or go to another pilates place that trains their staff on sensitivity.

She's fantastic!…read more I am not someone who loves to work out, yet ever since I started going to Rei Pilates a few months ago, I find myself coordinating my calendar around how many times I can get there in a week. Something about the tone and vibe of the place (and Rei herself) is energizing. The workout is awesome. I've take pilates at numerous other studios and Rei's classes are the best. Her techniques and moves are fun, efficient, and effective. She switches it up and has you do just enough reps where you feel it working without pushing it to be painful and unpleasant. I've seen more results going to her classes for 6 months than I have in years of going to other studios. And she plays great music which makes the time fly by! The studio itself is clean, modern and bright. She has the new reformers which are sleeker and easier to use than the chunky older ones at other places. (She also stocks the cutest athletic clothes, which are fun to browse after a good workout.) Highly recommend!

I've taken a few duet classes with Rei and she is fabulous! She was so helpful to my daughter…read more(who's in great shape) and me (not so much) and was able to provide us with a routine that was both challenging and safe despite our dramatic physical differences. I also brought a girlfriend from out of town who's been taking pilates classes for years and she loved this one! Rei was very patient and very positive and provided me with information about how I should modify certain exercises based on my (hopefully temporary) physical limitations. I feel that with a couple more duet classes I'll be ready to join a regular class which I'm sure will be equally great. Thank you Rei Pilates!
