Having used cryotherapy in the past with positive results, I figured I'd find somewhere local while I was in San Antonio. Their location is situation at a small strip mall with lot parking and is easy to find. I walked in and was and greeted by a young male employee who was cheerful and explained the services and prices. I told him I wanted a cryo session and he escorted me to a room where I changed before preparing to enter the chamber. The chamber used here is not fully enclosed, it terminates at the neck area so your head is not exposed to the cold. It is powered by liquid nitrogen, the tanks of which are visible in the room. After entering the chamber, the cold air began flowing in and I withstood the onslaught of cold for two minutes. Wow! How invigorating it was upon exiting, I felt recharged and rejuvenated! The cost of one session was $35.00, which is quite reasonable in my opinion given the health benefits associated with this alternative therapy. I would highly recommend if you're in the area and need an affordable and reliable venue for cryotherapy!

The saunas are spotlessly clean and roomy so you can lie down! They have infrared light or you can change to your own light colors and the temperature adjusts up to 170. They provide towels including a foot towel, towel you can lie on and a lovely refreshing eucalyptus towel for post session relaxing cool downs. Being used to saunas I upped the temperature to the max 170 and stayed in the 40 minutes as I was fresh off travels and some pretty aggressive hikes so wanted the full effect! With infrared it takes longer to sweat as it does not heat the air but heats the body! I felt very calm and released both during and post session! As my appointment time came and went, I watched every other guest get called back for their massages while I continued to wait. After another 10 minutes had passed, I finally went to the front desk to ask what was going on. The manager came out and informed me that there had been a miscommunication and my massage therapist was unable to make it to work that day. Unfortunately, there were no other therapists available and no alternative appointment times. I was simply told they were sorry and that I would need to reschedule. At that point, I broke down in tears. This wasn't just a massage, it was my birthday gift and my first opportunity to step away from the chaos and demands of postpartum life. Having that experience taken away without any notice was incredibly disappointing. To their credit, they did offer me a complimentary massage whenever I am able to rebook, which I appreciated and accepted. However, this was a very disappointing first impression.
