Jessica is very organized, detailed oriented and knowledgeable about everything wedding that she made the whole wedding planning thing seem easy! My fiance and I were so impressed after the initial consultation and knew we had to have her as our planner. Right after we booked OUATE, my fiance and I had a meeting with Jessica and basically told her everything we wanted, what we didn't want and what we dreamed of having but didn't think we could afford. She also had us fill out a questionnaire to get a sense of our style, get to know us and get an idea of what we envision for our dream wedding. After reviewing everything we gave her, she created a design board with everthing we had talked about. I loved how we got to go thourgh and point out what we liked and what we didn't like. This gave us a great sense of what our wedding was going to look like. Since I had a very hard time picking a theme and staying with that direction, this really helped me get on track and focus on one thing at a time. This also really helped me stop stressing and feeling overwhelmed and let me enjoy the wedding planning process. As a bride, I knew I wanted to be involved in the fun stuff but not the boring, budget related stuff. Jessica was amazing at handling all the stuff I didn't want to do or did not know how to do. We gave her our total budget and she planned around that very well and helped us stay on track. She also did all of the orders (which were a ton since we had our wedding at private estate and had to bring everything in) and delt with the most of our vendors. She has a great working relationship with a ton of wedding vendors in Reno that she was able to get things done and get them done fast! And she had wonderful recommendations for our wedding vendors. We loved them all! During the whole wedding planning process Jessica and her sister, Cassie kept us on track and made sure we were getting things done when they needed to be done. I loved how they took all of my ideas and wishes and made them happen without any questions. The whole time, they were professional but so nice and fun to work with! It made wedding planning a lot of fun! The day of the wedding, I had absolutley nothing to worry about. I sat in the house and got ready while Jessica, Cassie and her team set everything up and dealt with all the vendors. The wedding was not too big but the whole production of it was a lot! We had a ton of flowers, a fire pit, a dessert bar, photo booth, a lounge and a ton of details such a signage and personalized items. Jesssica and her team were so organized and executed everything PERFECTLY! It was above and beyond anything I had even imagined. They took my vision to the next level and made it better than I could had ever wished for. Jessica and Cassie kept the wedding on track the whole night and everything went off witthout a hitch. My husband and I nor our wedding party or family had to lift a finger, it was amazing! We got to spend our time enjoying ourselves while OUATE delt with everything else. Jessica, Cassie and the entire OUATE team are amazing!! They made planning our wedding an absolute joy and I would HIGHLY recommend them for wedding and party planning. And don't get me wrong, an average reception isn't necessarily a bad thing, but a wonderful wedding reception is a wonderful thing. When your guests are dancing to beat the band at the end of the evening, when they don't wanna go home, cuz it seems like the fun's never gonna stop, when that happens you know you had a great DJ or DJs as far as Katie and Matt are concerned, cuz you get two for the price of one. Vesta and I have photographed a lotta weddings and wedding receptions and we've seen our fair share of DJs and Katie and Matt are among the best in Reno. And they're fun people too. So, you can't go wrong with them. And it's really nice when your DJ is personable, friendly and actually cares about the bride and groom and their guests. And it's really nice when they keep the reception rolling along the way it's supposed too. Vesta and I photographed one wedding where the DJ forgot the bouquet and garter toss. Another where the DJ didn't do the bouquet toss till after most people had gone home, cuz he was so boring and there were only two girls left to catch the flowers. We've worked with Katie and Matt twice and both times they steered the reception along without issue, while staying in tune with the bride and her wishes, even though her wishes may change throughout the evening. Like us, Katie and Matt put the bride first. They are there to do a job and they work for the same person we do, the bride. Her wishes come first. It's her wedding, her special day. Not all DJs know this. Sadly, neither do all photographers. We know it and one of the reasons we like working with Katie and Matt so much is because they know it too. PS. Came to drop off delivery an hour and a half late on wedding day. We all arrived at 9am as they told us they'd be there, they arrived at 10:30 am. 2. About half our tablecloths had holes in them About 25 of the 100 mason jars were so dirty the delivery guy apologized, and then my MIL took them home to wash them. 3. One of our heaters never turned on after they say their checked them all 4. Paid for set-up fees months ago, then they almost left saying they had no delivery fee on paperwork...after being an hour and a half late so we were supposed to set it up... 5. I have called them now twice and emailed them and have gotten no response. Please....if you are having a wedding or any important event...do not rent with them! Terrible, terrible, terrible...so bad even our venue managers said they will never recommend them to their future guests. Bummed to write this post, because we love supporting our local businesses...but if you want reliability, high quality, and no stress on your day...find a different company.

    The Plusses: -Accommodated us two weeks before small event…read more(40 chairs, utensils for 20, heater, 5 small tables, garbage cans...) -Prompt, friendly delivery and pick up -Easy financial transactions The minuses: -Rentals showed wear and tear ($70 heater was falling apart in several places and my husband fixed it) ($3 wood chairs were beat up and not all working well) -Flatware was wrong pattern - if they were out of style I wanted, they should have contacted me so I could choose another pattern - photos on website are inaccurate - chairs, heater and garage cans look nice on website and were beaten in reality. Would I use them again? Maybe.....
