I now have my car insurance, home insurances and work liability insurance through them. They have always responded immediately to calls and inquiries and have alleviated so many stressors with their knowledge, expediency and personal attention. I was in a car accident a year ago caused by an uninsured motorist who hit my car and who was threatening to cause me more problems. Hello, this message is to let Mercury know that after almost twenty years of keeping our policy(ies) with Mercury, we are highly disappointed in the service received last year when we were charged a premium for coverage on a vehicle that we do not own. That vehicle belonged to someone else and they provided evidence of insurance for that vehicle that they had with another insurance provider during the same coverage period Mercury charged us for. We were not reimbursed and the Broker we've been loyal to, Crusberg & Decker, handled the matter with terrible customer service. That's not the way to treat a customer, especially a loyal customer. Policy purchased, payments made. One night deposited cash late, Boss was on vacation, 2 weeks super busy working 80+ hour weeks 18 hour days... Payment did not get processed. I had not noticed as I deposit cash and if there is a problem someone usually contacts me. 2 weeks no call or email, no idea my insurance had been cancelled in that 2 week time frame. I was told by a Direct Mercury rep that a notice was snail mailed (never received it...) What I did receive a week after my policy was cancelled, was a notice stating my policy is no longer effective as of 1 week prior and a $100 fee for nothing. Seriously? You cancelled my insurance in 2 weeks with not so much as a peep from you? I offered to pay the missed payment as well as the $100 charge for absolutely nothing, I was told there was no recourse or solution and that this would not suffice. I called this insurance branch after hours and left a VM with my name and number so I can just pay out my A... for a new insurance policy... Surprise, surprise no one called me back in an entire 8 hour work day. Not a single responsible party at this location. 17 years of Mercury Insurance as my go to company down the drain. Without a doubt: The worst customer service and insurance group I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They send you 1 bill that you have to pay 5 times over 6 months. Who the You-Know-What doesn't bill you monthly?? We sold our home insured by CSE and we needed one month of a rent-back policy while we were still living there. I spoke to Brittany, the agent, who said that their computers were down, and she needed to set me up with a company in their group - Mercury ended up being the "winner." I told Brittany that I needed a one-month policy and then I would be moving, and would just need the homeowner's policy at the new place (no rental). She told me everything was squared away, charged my credit card $45 over the phone, and never, ever contacted me or responded to me again. I found out TWO MONTHS after I thought the policy had already ended that the Mercury Insurance policy had, in fact, NOT been canceled, and they were trying to charge me an additional $45 for this "on-going" policy. I reached out via email to Brittany and Christine called me to settle the issue. I explained my conundrum to her and we proceeded to email back and forth at least 15 times regarding the problem. I then received a document from Mercury that they were prepared to send me to collections for the balance (of a mere $45 - are you kidding me??). Christine was vague and unresponsive over the next week and a half. I cc'd Brittany on EVERY email. Brittany neglected to jump in and fix her egregious error. Her lack of attention to detail caused me the headache of contacting Mercury *and* CSE numerous times to attempt to put this issue to rest. I won't go into the details of Mercury, as that doesn't apply here, but FIX YOUR MISTAKES, people! Ignoring your customers is flat-out rude and unacceptable. I know I am not a rich woman, but I gave this policy to this agency and they basically had us on auto pilot because we were seniors 60 is the new 40 Daniel. Anyways, they tried to peddle a 2500 deductible with feedback online of this insurance company we've had for a few years as the HOME INSURER FROM HELL. Thank GOD we never had a claim. Even my husband passed away recently and not even an email of regards. I m going to let them find out that the policy was not renewed because otherwise I would tell them how insignificant I felt with his company. read more

Drive Insurance customer service is TERRIBLE. The website doesn't let me login. I have to go through Progressive. They keep sending me cancellation notices even though I'm paid in full (through Progressive). The phone computer does not accept numbers I key in and just when I thought it was going to give up and transfer me to a real person, I was informed that the service is not available and it hangs up on me. If this is how they handle me when they want my money, I can only imagine how they handle will me when it comes time to pay a claim. They obviously don't wish for my business. I purchased Mercury Auto Insurance from this company. My first contact was not very helpful and I requested another insurance rep. Never heard from from my rep in the 1 1/2 years, even after my auto insurance shot up $200 without any tickets or citations. Meanwhile, after canceling because I found comparable, plus reputable car insurance for $400 less a year, I get a $25 bill from Mercury, when I was expecting a refund. I was told this was a 10% penalty for early cancellation! I was never warned of this by C-D & Mercury claims it states this in their documents and is standing by their policy. In my 50+ years of buying insurance coverage, I have never run across this before. Buyer beware! read more

This is the worst insurance broker. The worst customer service ever! You call their office, nobody helps you. Things happen on your insurance, they do not advise you. For instance, in December, my monthly credit card payment for my homeowner insurance was rejected by my bank. Not sure why, but it lead to the cancellation of my insurance. Where was my broker when all this was happening? Nowhere! I had to find out from my mortgage company. This is not the first time something like this happened. I had earthquake insurance where I paid annually. I was not notified of the renewal. Cancelled. I guess they only care about selling new insurance and not renewals. Maybe they get paid less for renewals then new policies. I am finally done with them. I have never written a Yelp review before. read more

Let qualify this rating. The 5 star goes to Christine. Crusberg as a whole deserves 3 at best. I echo that Christine in the Customer Service Dept. in Pasadena is a champ. Called in the day before to the Corona branch office at which my policy supposed to be serviced and inquired about my rental property's coverage. Asked them to call me back or email back. Received ZERO response! This would make the 3rd time that this indifference was exhibited by that office! When I called in and chanced to talk to Christine I had every intention to cancel my policy with them. Instead, Christine was not only empathetic to the frustration, she answered and resolved my situation immediately by contacting the lender regarding the active coverage in place. She also kept me in the loop in the process. That to me is first class professionalism and service. It is so refreshing to have Customer Services who actually deliver. Way to go, Christine. You saved the day in more than one way. Perhaps the branch office can learn from you if they want to keep their business. read more
