I am giving this gas station a 2.5 (3 Star with rounding). This store is a bit older and not the…read morenew Cruizers that they build now. This is also a smaller location, so not as many choices or "extras" that you might see are larger convenience stores. Typically the gas is a bit higher priced too. However, there is nothing else in the area. So, just from a pure location perspective, they get a fair amount of my business. I do give the staff credit. They are helpful and friendly. Also, this location has LP refill / exchange and full pay at the pump options (typical of most gas stations these days). There is rumor of a new store coming with the construction on 15-501. Let's hope, as I am a big fan of Cruizers newer locations.

Nothing is where it needs to be. I picked up a plastic cup for the soft drink and the cashier started telling me it was the wrong cup and that was for the slurpies. Hmmm..ok. There is no signage again for any of this and I would rather pay for a plastic cup that is the same size as the styrofoam but that is not allowed. I think I went through 3 cracked styrafoam cups until I finally got one to get a soft drink. Straws and lids are not in the same vicinity as the fountain machine. There is no customer service here at all. I would get gas from the pump and never step foot inside.

Bottom line: A very nice, clean, new ABC Store on the edge of Chatham County. Great…read morevariety/selection and helpful staff. The Deets: In going to get some prime drinking selections for one of our colleagues that retired, we went to the Chatham County ABC Store on Hwy 64 outside of Apex. Hearing that it was a newer store with a nice selection of items, it held true. This ABC Store has a vast selection, and they did have nice premium bourbons, whiskeys, etc. Although they did not have one of the premiums we were hoping to find, the staff had excellent alternatives offered in addition to another one we were looking for and found. This store is easy to get to and also with using the service drive linking it to the nearby gas/convenience store, an easy way to get to the traffic light for accessing Hwy 64 again. In all, a good visit to this Chatham County ABC Store and worth the bit of a drive outside Apex to get to it.

Rather than change their…read moremonthly special pricing the first day of each month like most businesses, they post price changes on the shelves days before and expect the customer to read all their "door signs" and look for the one that states when prices are subject to change? Not sure if it's just laziness or they just don't care, but the attitude is "read the sign on the door" when asked why the posted prices are not honored. When asked if we could exchange for a different brand, at the same non-sale price as what we purchased, they pointed to a sign by the register, "All sales final". The staff could care less about the customer and actually said go to another ABC store when I called them out. If the store wasn't well organized and clean they would have got 1 star. Chatham County ABC can do better.

They were doing everything right, even down to the Dr Brown's, and they had ZERO flavors too. There is a meat and cheese counter,r but most of the length of the shop is pastries, cakes, pies, es and other beautiful-looking treats. We ordered our sandwiches; I had an Italian sub, and it was just ok, kind of dry and lacking in flavor; frankly, Jersey Mike's makes a better Italian. But my wife got theReubenn, and it was simply the best Reuben we've had outside of Katz in NYC. I order Rueben's all the time, and I'm consistently disappointed. Most are dried out, have too little meat, and the corned beef is often dry, but not in this case. The sandwich was truly worthy, and we are ready to go back and have it again. Moist, flavorful meat, a generous portion, and the dressing andkraut weres well balanced. The bread was grilled, not toasted, and was itself rich and flavorful. Altogether, it is a Reuben worth driving a distance to have it. We are already planning to come back and try some of the baked goods, but also get the Reuben again too.

This place was really good. It was priced a bit on the high side for a sub...kinda like they kept…read morethe New York or Chicago prices once they setup shop in NC....but not absurdly expensive. It is mostly self service. You order at the counter standing up, they give you a number that you place on your table and they bring your food out. You are responsible for your own drinks and bussing your table. The drink fountains are all inside as far away from the patio as they could possibly be which is an unfortunate design choice. I got the New Yorker full size. It was good. I ate the entire thing and was pretty full, I probably could have had half. For a side I got the macaroni salad and it was nothing special, I'd try something else next time. My girlfriend got the meatball parm on gluten-free bread and enjoyed it. The dessert case was way too tempting. However, the subs filled us up so we got them to go. This is where it adds up. Most slices are $12-15 but they are pretty big. I got the lemon blueberry which was $15 and the girlfriend got a piece of gluten free cake that was also $15...so it was over $30 just for dessert. The decorations in restaurant and bathroom make references to New York and Chicago. There are some religious references via Bible scriptures. I don't find it pushy or overwhelming. I think the vibe is supposed to be a NYC deli but it's way too big and clean versus anything I've ever visited in the city which is good. They had a display case full of ham and roast beef and other meats and I'm assuming this is where they store them until they slice them up. We got lucky when we were here and there was a concert in the shopping center so we got to hear music while we had dinner. We will definitely be back!
