Bottom line: A very nice, clean, new ABC Store on the edge of Chatham County. Great variety/selection and helpful staff. The Deets: In going to get some prime drinking selections for one of our colleagues that retired, we went to the Chatham County ABC Store on Hwy 64 outside of Apex. Hearing that it was a newer store with a nice selection of items, it held true. This ABC Store has a vast selection, and they did have nice premium bourbons, whiskeys, etc. Although they did not have one of the premiums we were hoping to find, the staff had excellent alternatives offered in addition to another one we were looking for and found. This store is easy to get to and also with using the service drive linking it to the nearby gas/convenience store, an easy way to get to the traffic light for accessing Hwy 64 again. In all, a good visit to this Chatham County ABC Store and worth the bit of a drive outside Apex to get to it. read more

Beware - Be sure to read all the signs on both doors and by the register. Rather than change their monthly special pricing the first day of each month like most businesses, they post price changes on the shelves days before and expect the customer to read all their "door signs" and look for the one that states when prices are subject to change? Not sure if it's just laziness or they just don't care, but the attitude is "read the sign on the door" when asked why the posted prices are not honored. When asked if we could exchange for a different brand, at the same non-sale price as what we purchased, they pointed to a sign by the register, "All sales final". The staff could care less about the customer and actually said go to another ABC store when I called them out. If the store wasn't well organized and clean they would have got 1 star. Chatham County ABC can do better. read more
