I appreciate the resources he has access to and for the most part, I was able to travel very smoothly with very little inconvenience. I…read moretold my husband, although excited about that opportunity, I did not want to be on a plane for that long to not visit Italy proper while over there. But neither he nor I wanted the burden of scheduling the who, what, when, where and how of adding onto this vacation. Enter Wayne Steffen! I found him through searching for a travel agent on Yelp. His reviews were awesome and folks wrote about how he came through for them when they had issues. (Very important!) From the beginning, Wayne was so incredibly knowledgeable. He gave us several excellent pieces of advice as we started the process. We just didn't know anything about Europe. I was trying to fit it all in the extra 2 weeks I wanted to add to our trip. Wayne gently suggested that we could spend the two weeks in Italy alone and never come close to seeing all it had to offer. So, that's what we did. We gave him pretty much Carte Blanche to arrange where we would go and what we would see. Well, let me tell you, Wayne, pretty much gave us the vacation of a lifetime! It was so, so wonderful! We just followed his itinerary and most everything went off without a hitch! He booked hotels, convenient to the venues, or arranged transportation for everything he scheduled. Florence, Venice, Rome, Sorento, the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii, Catania. Whew, so much to see, so beautiful, and we are so grateful for all that we got to see and do, thanks to his suggestions! Lastly, I want to thank Wayne, in particular as there were two issues that happened to us, one was the most serious as the airline taking us to the cooking vacation in Sicily changed the flight schedule and did not notify either us or Wayne.) By the time we figured this out and called Wayne, he was in bed and I was bawling my eyes out. But Wayne immediately got to work and found us a different flight to Sicily that would get us there in time to meet our shuttle to the cooking vacation! He's not only there at the beginning to help plan the vacation, but he was there for the problems that cropped up. If you have any thoughts of needing a travel agent, Call Steffen Travel. I also used her service to get me to the Oakland airport for a 7:40 a.m flight. She picked me up at 3:45 a.m. to make sure I got there on time. Her service helps me to be independent and able to travel when I want to because all my family works and can't take me to the airport. Because I can use her service, I was able to book a non stop 5:50 am flight to Chicago. Give her a call next time you need to go somewhere and don't want to drive yourself.

The van was extremely clean and Kecia even had refreshments in a cooler for us. Kecia told the wife and I if anyone needed to use the restroom just let her know and she'd pull off the freeway and drive us right to a restroom. Once in St. Helena Kecia found our hotel and dropped us in front of our room and brought our bags inside. Night of wedding, Kecia drove us to the venue and dropped us off and told us to have a good time and text her whenever we were ready to leave and she'd be right there. We texted Kecia when we were ready and within 5 minutes she was pulling in. Our return trip was enjoyable, Kecia took us to a nice place to have breakfast. We've since used OG CHARTERS for another Niece's wedding and that trip was as nice as the 1st. We also took a trip to the apple orchard, the route Kecia took was like a sight seeing tour. The man asked for my address and told me he knew where that was. The next morning no one was at my house at 7, 7:10. . . I called to ask where they were and the man said he called me a couple of times. I didn't have any record of that on my phone and I had been holding my phone the whole time waiting. He said he was at the Safeway and to tell him how to get to my house. Finally he showed up at 7:30. He showed up in an unmarked car that had no meter in it. He had already quoted me $30 for a ride from Hillcrest to Bay Point BART. He had no credit card machine either. We got to BART and I asked if the fare was discounted because he was late and I had missed the BART train. He said no. I asked if he took a credit card. He said no, he didn't have a machine. I told him I wasn't tipping him because he didn't arrive on time and he created stress for me catching my flight. He was very unapologetic and rude.

We haven't explored much of the Delta, but it's growing on us. It was nice to be able to stay…read morethere and explore. Being on the water was nice. I hadn't read Sal's review so the boat launch was an issue, but not much since Mariner's "sister" marina, Beacon launch was free to us. We worked out a float plan so to speak that worked for us. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The water has a bit of a sulfur? smell... didn't affect the coffee flavor really. If you've had well water from areas like this or right on rivers, etc... it seems common enough. The fridge for some reason started to defrost on us. There were small bass and bluegill near the cabin. The folks at the other cabin cast out and caught some stripers. I think because of the launch proximity and also to Frank's tract area, we'll try the Beacon floating cabins next time.
