I'm typically not one to utilize a travel agent as I enjoy planning my own itineraries but I don't think I'll ever book a trip without Mindy again. I must also add that Covid-19 postponed this trip about 5 times. Mindy worked with me and my wife at all hours and weekends to ensure we were still scheduled. Prior to arrival, we were required to provide Tahiti with extensive documentation to allow us into the country. We saw people get turned away at the airport due to lack of documentation. Mindy worked with local contacts and travel boards and provided us with organized lists of everything we needed. This certainly is not the norm and likely is not the typical level of service you'd receive from any travel agency. Mindy was as excited for us to arrive in Tahiti for our honeymoon as we were and we felt like she was a part of our journey there. We received a beautiful bottle of champagne upon our arrival with a note from her which truly made it even more special. I'm not one to ever write reviews but Mindy deserves every word of it. Our package included a 14 day stay in Bali and Yogyakarta (we started in Bali, traveled to Yogya and returned to Bali for a few days before flying back to the States). Weni made sure that EVERY detail was covered, before the trip and during. Our guide in Bali was Yerry. As other reviewers have said, Yerry was kind, accomodating and well-informed. And he was an EXCELLENT driver. Our guides in Yogya (Salif and Rocky) were just as wonderful. They made sure they took us to all of the great attractions but that they also accomodated our wishes to see/experience things that weren't on the beaten tourist path (like the bird market and a spot with gudeg that we are STILL craving!). And the accomodations!!! Each hotel/villa was better than the last! The trip wasn't cheap, but for what we got, it was worth every cent! We went during the rainy season and highly recommend it. When it rained, it only lasted for an hour or two, the average temp was in the mid 80s and best of all, there weren't many tourists (a couple of the hotels we stayed at were virtually empty!) Just one suggestion---make sure that you build some downtime in your schedule. While we loved the fact that our tour was chock full of sites and activities, we would have liked to have a day or two of downtime just to relax by the private infinity pools ;) Our only regret is that Weni doesn't handle travel across the globe! We would use her every time we traveled! She is simply THAT good! Trust us, you will NOT be disappointed.

I thought I snagged a great deal on Skyscanner for a Qatar Airways flight, priced at $1,536.53. The second I hit "book," everything went downhill. This wasn't just a mistake; this feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch scam. Here's The Play-by-Play of the Scam: 1. The First Lie: They Charged the Wrong Amount Instead of the $1,536.53 advertised price I agreed to, they immediately charged my card $1,598.53. They did this without sending a new price notification or getting my permission for the higher amount. 2. The Second Lie: The Charge Appeared Under the Wrong Airline I booked a Qatar Airways flight. Yet, when the charge hit my bank, it was listed under American Airlines. Why? I never once looked at, searched for, or booked an AA flight. This is incredibly suspicious. 3. The Classic Bait-and-Switch: The Upcharge Phone Call A little later, they called me to say I needed to pay an extra $200. This is the oldest trick in the book: lure you in with a low price, get your card details, charge something, and then call to demand more money. Absolutely unacceptable business practice. 4. I Canceled, But They Kept My Money After all this shady behavior, I immediately called and canceled the same day. I got an email confirming the cancellation. Great, right? WRONG. They have still kept the full $1,598.53 they charged me. 5. The Endless Lies About the Refund They promised I'd see the refund in 10-14 days. It has now been almost 30 days, and my money is still nowhere to be found. Every single time I email them, I get a different, BS excuse: * "It was voided." (Lies. The charge posted and finalized.) * "It's just your bank's processing time." * "It was a codeshare flight." (Irrelevant.) * "The fare changed." (That's why you owe me a refund!) The excuses don't matter. They have my money, I have NO TICKET, and they won't give the money back. 6. No Ticket, No Service, No Refund--Just Stress To be perfectly clear, I received NO SERVICE from TravelMerry. * I have no ticket. * I have no booking code. * I have no airline confirmation.
