Brenna was just incredible helping us with our rescue, June. We've had her for a couple years and…read moreshe was always super leash reactive, barking at just about every dog, bike, and skateboard that she saw. After 3 sessions at SMS, June is able to walk with us with no problem. I genuinely wouldn't believe it if you told me she would improve this much a month ago. I can't recommend SMS and Brenna specifically enough!

Fantastic experience. We have a highly, highly energetic 2 year old Wheaton Terrier (Tilly!)…read more During our consultation, Greg took the time to understand our specific goals we had for Tilly's training. He walked thru the training technique and schedule, being sure to answer any questions or concerns we had. We scheduled three, full day trainings - spread over 3 weeks so that we would have practice time in between each lesson. We would drop Tilly off in the AM, pick her up in the afternoon. When we arrived back at the facility, my husband and I had an hour with the trainer and Tilly to walk through what they went over in the day. We also got a "Report Card" after each lesson that highlighted how it went. Super helpful. Brenna trained Tilly on the 1st and 3rd day and Jada trained Tilly on the 2nd day. Each were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable. They walked through the training collar process, commands and walking habits. They helped Tilly go from pulling on her harness to complete loose leash walking, how to get into her "Place", how to heal, and how to stay focused while around other distractions (dogs, cars, people, etc). Facilities were clean, well managed. Highly recommend Sit Means Sit, Brenna, Jada and Greg!

It's with a heavy heart that I finally write this review. We finished training in June in Milwaukee…read moreand were so unhappy with our results. We were asked to review the business and sent this link. We paid for the advanced 8 pack of lessons. Before committing to the pack, we asked what if our dog doesn't take to the lessons at the pace we're going. We know she's stubborn and that's why we needed help training her. The person responded that that's never happened in her time working at Off Leash K9. Well, it happened to us and it can happen to you too. We practiced with our dog daily but our trainer told us she wasn't ready to do heel (a basic command). We expressed concerns at lessons 3 and 4 with her progress and the trainer told us to keep practicing. Come lesson 7, we finally started trying advanced commands, but we did not get to select the commands like how it was advertised to us before we signed up. We were told we'd get 4 lessons of advanced commands but they only gave us 2. Here we are months later and my dog only has a solid sit. Every other command is shaky at best. In addition to all this, our trainer was late to three sessions and ended two sessions early. We also had a lesson outside in the rain. One lesson was cancelled day of and couldn't be rescheduled for 6 weeks. We called to see what we could do about our terrible experience and they offered us two free lessons. I simply don't want to be with the same trainer again but her training times are the only ones that work with my schedule. We were told that they had day and night availability on week days and weekends. What they mean is they have night availability week days and day availability on weekends. We were also told to expect a 4-6 week delay in scheduling lessons but it was actually 8 weeks. We feel so lied to and misled by this company. We saved all our texts and emails about this situation, wishing a manager would contact us about a partial refund. It was such an awful experience. I recommend you go anywhere else but here.

We specialize teaching owners to understand why their dogs do the things they do in order to create a strong bond between the owner and dog. We opted for the board & train (if only to get a week of peace back at home) with the in-home lessons following. Enlisting the help of Suburban K-9 was the best decision we ever made- Salina was prompt, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned the why behind our dog's behaviors as well as what to do to improve or correct them. Now we can walk off leash at a smart heel, his barking is massively improved, he comes when called with other dogs/people around along- things I've only ever seen dogs do on tv are things my dog can do! He is happy now that he knows what we need from him, and we are happy that his behaviors are no longer causing friction in the family. All our future dogs will be trained with the help of Suburban K9!

From there, we continued on over the next few sessions, basing all commands on the foundation of me calling the shots, not my dog. I learned so much about the way dogs think, and how to work with that. Basically, I would say that Alex trained ME! I highly recommend this training program and will definitely use them again as needed. I would also add that despite the expense, this is a worthwhile investment in your future with dog. I hope for many years ahead with mine, and I feel that good training will make us both happier in the long run.

Ok the winter was tough so I understood that they couldn't come out consistently. Once it warmed up however, it was me constantly hounding him to come out. I rarely got my 2x service and frankly I was lucky to get any service at all most weeks. My husband works from home and knew what service came to the house. Ben was not showing up. In July I gave him 2 weeks notice that we would not be using him going forward because we were moving out of state. He then questioned my move because "he didn't see a for sale sign in front of the house ". The absolute freaking nerve!! I told him that I needed him to come that last week and clean up because the rental company needed the yard back clean. We were gone July 26 and I asked him to go clean before July 31st. Guess what? No Show Ben didn't go pick up poop and my rental company took pictures of the dog poop along with a $50 fee to clean up what he didn't! For those of you that need receipts, I've got them and I'm attaching the pictures of my texts with Ben as well as the pictures from my management company. This service is just really bad - buyer beware.
