Hookah House - Outside

Hookah House

Perfect place for after work when you want to listen to some old school music and a good drink…read morebefore the night crowd comes in. The vibes are chill and grown up. Good service as well.

Ever since I moved back to Montgomery a few years ago, Hookah House has been one of the few…read moretolerable spots I frequent when I want to grab a beverage and go out with friends. Unfortunately over time my experience with the lounge has declined and I must share my feedback. I will be sharing two-three experiences that have sullied my outlook on HH. 1) wish washy security guard / bouncer The same three body guards are usually there when I go on Thursdays for college night since they have a ladies (25) men (30) policy which clubs across all of Montgomery try to enforce which I think is weird that for the last few years I can't even attend clubs with women my own age so I just go out when I'm out of town but everytime I attend I always speak to the bouncers but there's this one that particular rubbed me the wrong way. One night he was hesitant to let me in, accusing me of being a trouble maker which was absolutely absurd - most of the times I come with my few friends - we grab a section, purchase a hookah and maybe bottle and that's it - other times I just come by myself - sit at the end of the bar - leave a good tip and leave. Never have I ever been asked to leave or been the cause of an altercation or any of the sort. He then was hesitant of my age (I was 26 at the time) and saying men under 30 weren't allowed which was interesting because the people that invited me out that night were younger than me (by a year or two) and they got in no issue. The bouncer then said I was DOC (department of corrections) ??? And I said man I do not work there - he had me confused for somebody else. Just an overall annoying encounter. The next experience that soured my taste with HH was a year ago my friend was having a celebration for becoming a top accountant at the firm they worked at and we had purchased not one but twos sections at HH to celebrate. Per the person over sections at the time - everybody should be fine - need I remind you I was 26 so everybody is around that age. We get to HH and once again the same security guard completely disregards that we have already paid for the section and made the executive decision to turn around half of the celebration party. Idk man. I used to try and convince all of my friends to stop by here but I won't be doing that anymore

Lion’s Den Cigar Lounge - Catch the vibe on the patio!

Lion’s Den Cigar Lounge

The Lion's Den Cigar Lounge is fairly new and has a lot of upside as they work through their…read moreteething issues. It is a spacious lounge indoors and they have a covered outdoor patio in the back where you or the lounge can host large events, like the Black and White birthday bash I attended on a Saturday night. It sits on a corner end of a shopping center strip like any other, rather nondescript. However, that benefits the lounge patio out back where the ventilation can operate to cool and provide fresh air to a smokey environment. The interior space was also well ventilated, but not really tested with a full house the evening I was there. Most everyone was out back on the patio. They have a full service bar inside and can set up another bar and food service outside. The bar prices for drinks was reasonable in my mind at six dollars for happy hour. They are well equipped to handle large events they host or anyone can host. I recommend stocking the bar with more bottles of water, whether or not chilled. I did not observe if they have membership or lockers, but these are things they will likely be working on in the future from this nascent stage. The furnishings are comfortable lounge seating and the interior is kept clean, as are the bathrooms. They are getting their processes and operations under control, but the vibe can turn up and show out. The one glaring weakness is the humidor is dreadfully short in supply and narrow when it comes to choice of sticks. This needs to change and I am certain they will change in time. They are also in need of portable vertically free standing ashtrays and more ashtrays in general. As with any new lounge, they will make changes when they can get their arms around everything. The attitude of the folks who run and work the lounge is great and hospitable. I am deducting for the lack of a real humidor at this time, but I would gladly return to the Lion's Den. It's a work in progress and they will get it right. 3.7 stars and keep up the hard work.

The vibe is incredible and it's very laid back, love the patio..Drinks and hookah, food are top tierread more

Infusion Lounge - Philly Cheese steak omelet with a cheese sauce on it, grits and toast.

Infusion Lounge

ATL vibes in Montgomery…read more Since being in the area, I've been to Infusion Lounge about five times and each time, I'm wondering why they aren't getting more business then they are getting. The ambiance walking up to the building and in is DOPE, the drinks are always on POINT, and the food is SMACKDADIOUS! From what I've experienced, Monday you can catch the local sororities making it their night and the place a fun spot to be. On Sunday's they open at lunch to bless the area with a upscale selection brunch. They have a wide selection of Hookahs you order. They do reservations or bottle service where you can get table, booth, or bar seating for small or large groups. The bartenders and servers are beautiful and attentive to your orders. I had an issue with my order and the server had a new order placed/cooked up. The chef/team in the kitchen made the dinning experience feel like i was at Big mommas house with how good the food was. I done had their catfish, philly cheese steak, chicken alfredo, salmon bites, wings and each dish has been exceptionally delicious. Everything is always hot, crispy, taste really good, and have you walking away filling satisfied/full. Whatever gravy they put on the catfish is euphoricially tasting. I could rave more on and on about Infusion. I'll say this, when I visit Infusion I almost forget I'm in Montgomery, AL.
