I had a very positive experience working with CRS Temporary Housing during the early stages of my insurance claim. From the beginning, their team was consistent, responsive, and proactive in their communication, which made a stressful situation much easier to manage. Dealing with a stressful situation and losing water in my home was overwhelming, but they stepped in quickly and provided temporary housing solutions without delay. What stood out most was their reliability and organization. They ensured I had a comfortable place to stay while my home was uninhabitable, and they remained accessible throughout the process to answer questions and provide updates. CRS clearly understands how disruptive these situations can be and does a great job supporting policyholders through it. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone navigating an insurance claim and in need of temporary housing assistance. read more

UPDATE TO 10/14 REVIEW. As of the date of this writing, I have been refunded. Once my issue was escalated to CRS leadership, who held the hotel accountable, my money was returned and CRS was kind enough to send us a $100 gift card. My advice is to check your account statements early and report discrepancies consistantly until the issue is resolved. read more

this is an absolutely temporary service. They are ineffective at finding appropriate placement. their customer service is beyond horrible communication is nonexistent. I have worked through my insurance with an agent called Dionne and over a week after my home was uninhabitable as determined my insurance, they have not found me any housing. The agent actually believes I am owe her something highly recommend anybody not to work with this company. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. They have taken up hours of my wife's and my time. While being displaced due to the socal wild fires, we needed temporary housing, they literally couldn't find anything. My wife spent 30 min finding hotels then tried to get CRS to even answer a phone or email to make the reservations. Had multiple get snapped up by the time they got back to us. Then we booked ourselves and they took over the reservation only to modify the reservation 48 hours before without notifying us. They changed the reservation from 4 beds and a couch to 2 beds and a couch for 5 people. Now waiting hours for someone to get back to me about why or how they can fix. Worse than worthless. read more

Our insurance asked them to help us with housing and hotels stays after our home burned down. They were very unresponsive and after many calls booked us a hotel in another state. They did nothing to help us find housing and after many broken promises we found housing on our own. read more

State Farm paid out over $100K in temporary housing for me, a handicapped senior and my special needs adult son over a period of a year when our house was damaged by a fire. We thought we had finished our business with CRS but never received the security deposit for the rental unit but they did send us the $ on the furniture refund. CRS can't get their rental partner to send us, or them, the refunded security deposit and have insisted we file a small claims action locally to get the $4,800. rightfully returned to us. The rental partner did not follow any of the CA landlord security deposit statutes. CRS contract says they are a facilitator and mediator... do we have a different definition of those words? What a hoax on us. So users beware as you are already traumatized by losing your home or living quarters likely and then you have to deal with the NON or POORLY vetted short term landlords that this business throws at you. BEWARE AND INSIST YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER USE A REPUTABLE LOCAL PROPERTY PROVIDER. Clearly IN IT FOR THE $$$ and no real care for the insured parties. The company made a reply and then decided to delete it...odd, very odd guess they aren't apologetic after all. I would give them a zero, if I could. my insurance company used them, so I thought they would be good. I rented a trailer to put on my property while my house was fixed after a fire.They contracted out to an RV Rental company. CRS did nothing but monitor the situation, they were useless. It first started with the toilet not flushing. The rv rental company told me to stick a broom stick down. Do, I did. it didn't work so I tried harder. Still didn't work. They say this is how the tank broke. They sent a repairman. He said the tank was full. The company never set up someone to dump it. So, after a month of not being dumped... it was full. In addition the had to replace the bed, it was so old and not to be used for long term purposes. The shower had little water pressure. The angel of a repairman fixed this up. It was at this time I complained about a smell of sewage. Not an insignificant smell, it was so strong I had to leave the doors open at all times, even then it still smelt. I asked that they fix it. The first repair man said, in order to fix it, he would have to take it off the property for safety reasons. they didn't like that. So, they sent another repair man out. He just cleaned the tank and left.... it continued to smell. ----At this point the washing machine also broke. So, I had to take my clothes to the laundromat. They had to buy a new one which took almost three months to get. ---- --- At three and a half months I come down with what they think is pneumonia. I go on antibiotics and feel better a week later. A week after that I am at ER. I have pneumonia again. they put me on stronger meds. ----- I told CRS the smell was still unbearableand how I have been sick. So, during the second round of pneumonia, the rv rental place sent the first guy out again. He said that the tank had swelled and all the underbelly was saturated with sewage from a leak in the black water tank. Surprise, surprise. He took out all the insulation and he said it was full of maggots. it was so bad, he couldn't even take it to the dump. it was contaminated. I HAD TO LIVE WITH THIS FOR FOUR MONTHS AFTER BEING DISPLACED FROM MY HOME AFTER A FIRE!! This isn't even the end! It still smelt. the RV rental co told me that is not possible. I am thinking "I am in here, you are not and you want to tell me it is not possible." I finally say, that's it, I need a new trailer. So, I got a new trailer. I went to cook on the stove. I turn on the propane take head inside and turn on the stove and it explodes. I am on what I think is on fire. I jump back and start trying to pat myself off. my friend uses a towel to turn cover the flames it the kitchen and screams to get the fire extinguisher, which took me a second to comprehend, as I was just on fire. I put out the fire with the extinguisher. my skin is burning and my hair is singed off. I call the RV co. and tell him what happens and he says, don't worry we won't charge you for what happened." I am in utter shock. The angel of a repair man comes back to see what happened. They hose that was supposed to attach to the stove was not. He went and called them and I heard him say. You are lucky you didn't kill anyone. Had I waited to turn on the stove, I may not have been here to write this. CRS did nothing except play the middle man. I had so much on my plate as it was this was the worst experience ever. Don't use them. They took money from my insurance company while they did nothing to help me. all they did was text me asking if I was happy with the situation I would say no and why. the would relay that to the RV company who would explain their side. Then CRS did nothing. At the bare minimum, they should have tried to get me a new rental and got me out of this contract. They couldn't care less about helping displaced people. read more

I am a property owner. This company reached out to secure temporary housing for one of their clients. I explained I had to travel from out of town to show the property, and the company's agent agreed and made an appointment convenient for his client to tour the property.
