Upon arriving at the hotel the wait to check in was the longest that i have ever had, it took around 20 minutes to serve just two people in front of us, but they did apologise for the wait and presented us with a voucher for a free drink at the bar.
The room itself was a lot smaller than expected, smaller than your average Travelodge room, however the extra amenities such as bath robes were appreciated. And the bed was very comfy, so can't complain too much.
The restaurant however was a big disappointment, even though I used the set menu, I believe that the quality of the food should still be to the same quality as the rest. The starter of chipotle king prawns was somewhat tasty, is not a little dry, the size of the prawns were also a tad on the small side. The main of the chicken was really underwhelming, chicken was dry, bland and tasteless, my gf couldn't even finish it due to being so dry. The presentation also left a lot to be desired as the veg in sauce just looked like it was dumped in the middle of the plate.
So to sum up, if you're going to stay, don't get the basic room as it is way overpriced for what you get, although it is a clean and comfy room. Take a look at other restaurants in the area because you'll only be disappointed by the in house food. read more
