***Extremely disappointing experience, especially given this clinic's strong reviews*** I chose this urgent care because of its high ratings and had a very positive first impression. During an earlier visit, this clinic identified previously unknown cardiac disease in my 13-year-old dog, which made me trust their thoroughness and return for follow-up labs. Unfortunately, the second visit was a complete reversal. After labs were drawn and paid for, the clinic abruptly changed what had been agreed upon and demanded an additional $80 "establishment" exam fee simply to discuss the results (a five minute conversation). When I asked them to honor what was communicated, they immediately terminated care while my dog was still onsite, stating they "were not the right fit" and "couldn't make me happy," which was a surprise to hear in the context of a medical visit where the sole focus should have been my dog's care. This wasn't about customer satisfaction -- it was about refusing to follow through on an agreed-upon medical plan and withholding paid-for results for a senior, medically fragile patient. I was also disturbed to witness another dog turned away at approximately 4:20 PM for being "at capacity," despite an empty waiting room and no referral assistance offered. I ended up helping that family find another vet myself. To make matters worse, when I asked for documentation that the refund had been processed, I was not told of any system issue and was given only a handwritten note on scrap paper, with no receipt or paper/email trail to confirm a refund actually occurred. Given the clinic's reputation, this was shocking and painfully disappointing. I sincerely hope this is not how they routinely operate, but based on my experience, I would urge pet owners -- especially those with senior or medically complex animals -- to proceed with caution. read more

I will definitely recommend Crown urgent vet. While caring for my grandpup I noticed his little ear began to swell. I called Crown Urgent Vet to ask some questions; i did not know what to do. The lady was so kind and understanding. She was very patient with me. I decided to take him in. She took my information and she sent me a link with my wait number. Excellent!!! I don't have to bring my furry baby down there and wait for ever!! I was so grateful for this. In about 1 hr i got a text that it was my turn. I drove down there and after checking in and filling out some forms, i waited for 5 minutes and then it was our turn. The vet technician was so kind and loving with my furry baby. She asked many questions and listened to my concerns. She waited until i was done and when there was nothing else to say, she checked my pup and then called the Vet. Dr. Padilla came in right after the vet technician and she too was excellent!! Just as everyone else. She was professional, caring and connected with my grandpup. Went into Crown Urgent Vet clinic when one of our dogs suddenly appeared the have a back injury and would not get up. Our normal vet office didn't have an opening for 3 days so I went looking for another option. Got into their online waiting list as third in line and within 15 minutes got the text to head on in. Walked in, filled out one paper, and was taken back to a room within another 10 minutes or so. Doctor Carter was friendly and helpful, recommended a couple of options and let me decide on which course of action to take. Waited a few more minutes to get some meds together for me and out the door in under an hour. Office was clean, front desk staff attentive and friendly. Visit fee of $115 isn't bad at all considering my normal vet is around $80 and any ER for your pets is usually well over $200. A great experience and I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a quick visit for their pet. read more

This place is great! Our dog had an allergic reaction from either an insect bite or new food and was up all night panting and itching. We took her here as we couldn't get her in to her regular vet. My dog's injury still would not go away after paying these people $600. I come to find out my dog has a valley fever. I hope your pet is never in need of their services, but you MUST take your furry family member here if you are in need of urgent vet care. I was not able in to my vet when my sweet boy got sick. I immediately went to their website and was very pleased to see that they have an online check in service. I was able to check in and was seen as soon as I arrived. From the the first interaction with the front desk, I knew we were going to be in good hands. Dr. Ruiz and the staff quickly found the issue and went over the recommended treatment. i took my dog to this vet since i couldn't get him in to my vet i knew he was in critical condition. i told them that when i took him in and they said he wasn't that bad. They gave us medicine and said if it doesn't work bring him back in two days. He had went from 31 lbs too 24 lbs in 5 days. Wouldn't eat and couldn't keep anything down. i don't know how they thought he would keep his medicine down, when he wouldn't eat and kept throwing up. My poor Labradoodle had gotten some cholla burrs stuck in her, she's like a magnet and I thought I had gotten everything out and off of her but two weeks later, I notice her back left paw is inflamed and wet from her chewing and gnawing on it. I called Las Sendas Animal Vet as that's where they go while I am here for the colder months and they couldn't get her in for a few days so they referred me to Crown. Crown got her in within a half hour and we started her on meds and steroid injection. My dog did really well and has been recovering and leaving her paw alone now. I took my dog Wrigley to this urgent care a few weeks ago. It was awesome having the facility call me when they were ready to see my dog instead of waiting there. My dog was stressed enough so I loved waiting at home. The staff and doctor was amazing; they listened to my concerns, obtained other vet assessments from the ER vet, examined him thoroughly and came up with a treatment plan. I checked in online joining the waitlist 7:30 am, and I was immediately told that I was first in line and the drive over to the vet. My dog ingested Benadryl with nasal decongestant and vomited so we were worried about him and wanted him seen right away. First. I sat there for over a half hour and they charged my card $115 and then they told me that before my dog is even seen by a vet I need to call poison control and pay them $95 so that poison control can instruct the vet on how to treat my dog. This is in and of itself a ridiculous system and very much a scam. They have jacked all of the prices at vet clinics so high already so that when you need veterinary care you have to weigh the cost in your decision to get your pet seen. It's absolutely awful. First the man at the front desk kept saying "unfortunately that's the policy" which is a really cold and uncaring thing to tell people who are seeking help for their pets and are worried. Then he brought out his office manager who copped an attitude immediately and said that they are just trying to help the animals. It seems that they wouldn't be jacking up prices and adding additional costs before I've even had my dog looked at by a vet if they really truly cared about the animals. He claimed that this was not health care, because it's a dog, which made me completely lose trust and faith in these people. I'm not here because I have "just a dog", I'm here because my dog is my family and veterinary care is their health care. I guess the office manager doesn't think dogs are family. I don't think I would trust someone like that with the life of my dog. I asked them if they were seriously turning us away and he said they were not turning me away, as long as I can afford to call poison control and pay them an additional fee first. I did explain that this is basically turning me away considering I wasn't aware that there were additional fees and that I'm here at an urgent vet to get help and I'm not wealthy, I can't afford a $95 phone call, my money needs to go to him being seen my a vet and any test they need to run. I asked if a vet could just look at my dog and they said not unless I pay this additional fee. I did ask them to clarify this and the office Manager, whose attitude was really unacceptable especially when speaking to a customer who in in tears over their dog, said there is no way I could know what is in the Benadryl that my dog took. Which is absurd, they post the ingredients online and I told him it was 10 mg of Phenylephrine HCI which is the toxic ingredient that we should be concerned about. It was a very simple search to learn this, I suppose these people charging a literal arm and a leg for their services can't open google and do the research themselves so I did it for them. I am absolutely appalled at how disgustingly uncaring and cruel the office manager was. I suppose if you don't have the money they require you just go home and watch your dog die, they don't seem to care either way. I did request a refund and they did provide one, which is the only good thing I have to say about this abhorrent experience. It's not like they did anything, we never even got taken to a room and we certainly never received veterinary care, so a refund was absolutely warranted. I don't recommend Crown URgent Vet, in fact I recommend staying far away from this office and these careless people. Don't give them your money. read more

Wonderful service. The website was helpful in letting us know when it was time for us to head to the clinic. Which was so nice, to be able to stay home and wait rather than sitting in a waiting room forever. Once we were there, the office staff, vet tech, and vet were so kind and helpful. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and truly cared for our dog. We originally called our vet to try to get an appointment and were told the soonest we could get in was a week! We've been going to that vet for a decade and our dog had a terrible ear infection and suddenly wouldn't put weight on her front leg. The idea of an urgent care is awesome because your home vet might not be able to get you in, but it also isn't a high enough problem to be seen at an emergency vet. But the problem is your wait list! I got on the waitlist about mid morning and rushed her right over because I needed to get to work right away and I was hoping they were willing to do something. But I was told I needed to go home and wait my turn in line even though my pet was already there. A triage nurse wasn't even offered, and when I asked how long the wait would be the receptionist said a couple hours. So guess what? Couple hours later and I am still fourth in line and the person who's in the number one spot has been on the waitlist, in that spot for over two hours. It doesn't seem like anyone manages this waitlist like they would in a normal human urgent care office. Normally they give you 15 minutes to get into the office and move onto the next person if you don't come into the office at your turn. other pets still need to be seen and they're letting people hold up the line, this is extremely frustrating to a pet parent who doesn't always have time to wait a couple hours, I should've just gone to an emergency vet I would have been seen probably sooner! read more

For those of us with a sick pet who could not get into our regular vets because they are overbooked and do not save sick animal appointments or who are afraid of 24-hour emergency vet hospitals where ordinary care can run in the thousands, this place is a step in-between. It is much like human Urgent Care facilities. It is a bit more expensive than your personal vet, but not as expensive as the 24-hour emergency vet hospital. Upon arrival they got my cat in promptly, ran tests quickly and did everything they could to save him and to look after my family. My pets are very important to me, and I am very careful who I allow to treat them. The doctor and the staff at Crown Urgent Care were knowledgeable, professional and compassionate and I would I highly recommend them. read more
