Recommend NOT putting down a reserve deposit because this dealership will not honor it. And now I have to try to get my deposit back after being told the vehicle is now no longer available! You would expect that the dealership would at LEAST immediately get my deposit returned! *Do not trust this place when traveling!!* I was from out of town, coming from Florida with my children and my car broke down again, after doing so in Florida and having a botched diagnosis/"fix" Called Crown Subaru right away with there being 30 mins before closing and let them know I'm from out of town and was just asking when it could be seen the next day at all, and if they had received the information from the previous dealership. The lady was so rude and not understanding at all and wouldn't give me any information or help. I had no choice but to book a hotel and bring the car in there the next day anyways as it was barely able to drive. Kept sputtering out and needing to turn back on. I took it in the next day just to be charged 200+ for diagnosis (other dealerships wipe this charge if you have work done there) and another $300+ for an oil change and another cleaning (like the last place did) but the real issue wasn't found, again. I broke down again when I got back home to Illinois and tried calling the manager there, leaving messages, and never was able to get through. $500+ for it to break down again. The real kicker was that they wanted me to do about $2000 of work to change ALL cam gears and the timing belt, among other things. Didn't listen at all to me saying to please check the engine more because I had been told by a shop before that this was the issue. (Ended up being one valve on a cam gear that caused all these issues, but was never mentioned from this dealership) Don't trust their diagnosis and know you probably won't be able to get through to their manager. I tried for days and never heard anything. read more

Can't say more about this dealership. We are in from Atlanta for a softball tournament. We drove my Mom's 2018 Forrester. I noticed her rear time was low. And even though we are in a hurry to get to the tournament I decided to swing by the local dealership. And we all know service appointments are booking out and Saturday's are typically hard to come by. I explained my situation. They saw the nail. Told us they would take care of us regardless to their schedule as there is no way we would make it home. They got us right in so we could get to the tournament and didn't charge us. What - a dealership that does the right and kind thing. Love it. Appreciate it so much. Where do you get that kind if service and care in today's economy?. So thankful for these folks. I had a problem, a big problem. Back in September I had taken my 2022 Outback to an oil change place in Cleveland Tennessee; within, say, fifteen miles of driving I started having problems; the check engine light was on, the car was running rough, the engine was dying whenever I took my foot off the gas. So I took the car to Crown Subaru, and learned that the Valvoline people has put roughly one and a half quarts of oil over the appropriate limit. I dealt with Matt White; he returned my car, but candidly mentioned that it sounded like a diesel. I made it back near home, about 30 miles, when the troubles began again, which warranted another trip to Crown Subaru (in the meantime I had confronted the Valvoline manager to zero satisfaction. I had also called Subaru main office in New Jersey). So the car undergoes the knife, destination unknown. I drive around a loaner from Crown Subaru for 2 weeks while they pulled the engine and went over the thing in detail. At this point I had no assurance that my warranty would pay for any of the work of parts that might be needed to get my outback on the road. And if you have spent any time in front of a television watching courtroom procedurals, you are familiar with the concept of "reasonable doubt;" Subaru certainly could have thrown the expense of the repairs back on me, and my only recourse would have been to sue the Valvoline franchise owner. But what happened is that Subaru decided that the damage was so extensive that the oil overfill might not have been the entire problem, and they repaired the engine at no charge to me. The damage included replacing the engine block, replacing the camshaft, and about two pages of parts and sensors. I shudder to think of what the bill would have been, had Subaru not decided to do the honest thing, under the broadest definition imaginable. What do you look for when buying a new car? Subarus are fun driving vehicles, but no one is going to label them as muscle cars. But if you are seeking a solid, reliable car, sold by a firm that is proud of their product, protective of it good name, and inclined to give the customer the benefit of the doubt, then why would you look elsewhere? Sorry that this love letter went on so long, but I think my experience was one that deserves to be known. read more

*grabs popcorn* To be fair I will preface this with, Crown gave me the best deal on a custom ordered 2022 Crosstrek of any dealer I contacted within 500 miles of me. Now to the meat of this review: I took my car in for AC not working. Dropped off the car as they opened, waited all day, finally reached out to them for a status (I have a dash cam which I later watched and could tell they "worked" on it at 1:20PM), they tell me it would not be covered under warranty and would be $1500 to fix. Talking to them once I got there, because I replaced my plastic front bumper with the steel BodyArmor Bumper, this somehow broke my AC condenser. Aside from the two being located physically near each other there is no correlation. So I got the breakdown from them $450 for the part (its only $350 online for the OEM part), and $1000 for labor. I talked to the Warranty Manager, she also could not explain to me how the bumper mattered, she said "since you cannot prove the bumper didn't affect the AC condenser". Fast Forward: I scheduled an appt at a different dealer over the weekend. Checked in as they opened, got a call 3 hours later, AC was fixed. Discussed with them when I got there, it was an O-ring, they replaced under warranty and said "the aftermarket bumper may have affected it but we cannot prove it did". So the attitudes of the two dealers is the opposite, one expects you to prove to them that the warranty should still be effective, while the other says they would have to prove to the customer why the warranty would be invalid. Incredible attitude difference. My BIGGEST issue though is, now I know for sure Crown never did a pressure test, they just saw the aftermarket bumper (a reason to deny warranty) and a path to making $1500. If they had done a pressure test and/or thrown some dye in, would have been easy to see the O-ring failure. My AC condenser was NOT even broken. So if I had caved to Crown I would be out $1500 and STILL not have AC. Crown has lost my business for the life of my Subaru ownership, which is real sad for me considering its 2 months old and Crown is 3 miles from me. But I am petty enough to drive elsewhere for the life of my ownership. Great place to buy a car, NEVER service here. read more

We liked the service deal that comes with the purchase and the free three year Starlink package as well. Our sales person, Trish was awesome. Friendly and attentive but was considerate of our time. I recently bought a Subaru from the Kennesaw location. They mailed me a spare key to have programmed at the Chattanooga location (did not say I would need an appointment) upon arrival I was directed to the service desk and told to wait for someone to help me. I was rudely stared at by and employee named Alexis Patton for about 10 seconds who then suddenly decided to ask me rudely what I needed help with. I proceeded to tell her and was told I would need to make an appointment and the person next to her would make it. Falicha was the woman who then helped me and accommodated a same day appointment immediately. I'm given Crown Subaru four stars because Falicha was able to redeem the experience but that Alexis girl needs to be in a department that is not face to face with customers. I pay a lot of money for my Subaru and expect a certain quality of customer care and she is not it. read more

I was hoping that the change of management would help this place. No such luck. I travel 1 hour each way to get my outback serviced. The place is expensive and the service is never done completely; everything I have been there I have had to call them to have some corrected and then take my car somewhere else to have my car fixed the rest of the way. Corporate Subaru is aware of the issue; I'm not just venting. This isn't just a one off issue. This is consistently bad service. I think they are well intended but just can't get it together; this is 4 years... not covid. read more

After purchasing a car from Crown in April without incident, I had three major issues leading to this one-star review: 1) The car registration paperwork and title were not sent to our DMV in a timely manner. I had to call Crown about 4 times to understand the status of the paperwork after going to the DMV twice, expecting the paperwork to have arrived to complete the registration. Instead of taking responsibility and fixing the situation after several calls, Crown excused the delay on outsourcing out of state title paperwork, leaving the onus on me to track down the information necessary to complete the registration (so much for the fees paid to the dealer to complete title transfer). 2) When completing the sale, the final taxes exceeded our final "out the door" quote. When bringing this up to management, they said they would take care of the additional cost by handling the taxes or lowering the price of the car to meet the quote that was provided. To get us out the door, the taxes were taken out of the final bill of sale and charged back to us by the state (to the tune of $900) when we completed the registration 45 days later - due to the delay in getting the paperwork processed. The lack of transparency and disinterest in resolving the situation after calling Crown management was extremely frustrating. 3) Last but not least, Crown never filed the paperwork for the included 2-year extended warranty. After moving across the country and getting the standard 6,000 mile check-up and oil change, the servicing dealership could not find our maintenance contract and wanted to charge us $250 for the service. I provided the paperwork we signed for the extended warranty through Subaru to prove the service was covered under our contract. The servicing dealership contacted Crown to request the paperwork to be submitted, but they responded that they had no record of the agreement (despite my copies of the paperwork). Additionally, my emails requesting additional information and assistance went unanswered. I had to resolve the situation by contacting Subaru of America and submitting the paperwork myself. Although everyone at this dealership is certainly very friendly and hospitable, please be aware of the lack of service / professionalism that you may encounter after purchasing a car from this dealership. read more

I drive a 2021 Crosstrek, which I love. I happened to hit a pigeon in the road tho. It went thru my grill and was trapped. I could not get it out, nor could two other people who tried. The service personnel at Crown were amazing with this situation. Lucas, who typically checks me in for service at a desk, got down on his knees and managed to catch the bird and extricate it from my undamaged grill. The bird is alive, mind you. Upon the initial phone conversation with Chris Dover we knew this would be a pleasant car-buying experience. We drove from GA to TN in order to purchase a vehicle and we would do it again in the future just to give this dealership business. Everything was seamless. Chris was very polite and upbeat and he never rushed us away, we definitely felt valued as a customer. My husband spoke to Justin Standridge over the phone and we were approved over the phone and he was very helpful and understanding and answered all of our questions. During the last step, signing the paperwork, is when we met Steve Gordon (who we had also spoken to over the phone) and he was great, too! He was very thorough. Also some nice touches to the dealership were the fireplace (it had snowed during the night) and the coffee/tea and snack area.
