On July 1 2024 bank employee Brook Gardner refused to stop payment on an eight thousand dollar check.She was told more than 25 to 30 times if this stop payment does not get done I am going to loose 8 thousand dollars.I was treated as if I was the thief.When I called the branch manager he told me it is not the banks job to advise me.I told him I did not come to the bank for advise I came to the bank to stop payment on an 8thousand dollars check.I even had a bank employee call me and tell me that because I wrote the check and because I signed the check I would not even be eligible for a stop payment.I asked him where did you go to school.I lost 8 thousand dollars because of a poorly trained employee.If you bank at First Horizon bank I would suggest changing banks.Also my 8thousand dollar cleared the bank in less than 24 hours which is highly unusual.If they will rob a 64yo disabled woman they will do it to anybody. read more

Heather from customer service is so RUDE, IMPATIENT, lack of knowledge, unprofessional, NOT trained. Heather would NOT listen to customer's questions, would NOT let customer talk, but KEPT talking all the time. Heather has the POOREST listening skills, POOREST manner, POOREST communication skills. Heather from First Horizon Bank customer service is the most incompetent, lack-of-professionalism staff, who would keep talking over to the customer all the time while the customer wanted to talk. Heather would NOT let customer to talk at all. Heather does NOT have any listening skills, any comprehension skills, any communication skills. Period. And she hung up on customer in the middle of the call. This bank is probably one of the worst banks to bank with AND to work for. Wouldn't even give it one star. My first week there I was seeking knowledge on loans and was told to go to TVFCU because if you're not rich you won't get approved. Even as an employee. Not only have I not been compensated for my remaining time with this company, but when I was trying to resolve this issue with Denise in Payroll, she only let me say two words before she and I have it recorded "you know what, I am hanging up on you" and has now blocked my number. I worked for the East Brainerd branch. My boss was Barbara Rodgers. I reported her to HR due to the disrespect, belittlement, and unethical behavior I was shown during my year employment. I literally was in a meeting with her and I had to interrupt her a few times to advise her how she was treating me/the things she was saying to me with my mom passing were inappropriate and disrespectful. Then had to advise her how a situation should have been handled. Two weeks into my employment my branch manager (Barbara) walks out of her office, and in front of everyone ask me about my mom's mental health, health, and if she struggles with addiction because her and my mom had the same zodiac sign. After reporting her finally to HR after 10 months being under her management, I was in a hour and a half long meeting with James Morgan and Charly Dena explaining everything to them that has happened. Nothing was fixed. Our team never even got the mediation meeting we had requested. Instead, I was advised by my direct leader that my branch manager was out for revenge. This came after getting a final write up for complaints that I received earlier last year 2022 due to new procedures I was having to implement per my direct leader Avis Love. I wasn't written up before, was not given a verbal warning, nothing. Then a week after I went to HR I was handed a final write up. Which means I was now fireable if I get complained on again. Shortly after that no shocker here, a customer that had been banking with us for 20 years complained on me because. "I denied her 3 checks" in the drive thru. This was not true, and I knew immediately what was going on. I had taken 20+ checks in the drive thru from consumers in the drive thru. Even have witnesses stating they did not see, nor hear me deny any customers 3 checks in the drive thru. My side was not listened to. I was then fired a week later. This company has some of the WORST, TOXIC, DISRESPECTFUL people working for them and unfortunately for the employees these are management roles that these people are in. Now I'm having to deal with not being compensated for what I worked when I was first hired. This has been the most mentally deteriorating job I have ever had employment with. As an employee there, I watched clients get treated with unprofessional, disrespect, nasty facial expressions behavior from Barbara Rodgers. If you are not rich this isn't the bank for is what I learned my year there. I have literally heard her say "eh they don't bring this bank any money I don't care about their problem, I'll handle it later, maybe." Outrageous. I'm warning everyone, do yourselves a favor and go some where else for your employment/banking needs. read more

I have been a customer of FTB for probably 15 years or more... I had a great relationship with Red Bank Branch, friendly and helpful and they knew me by name. I also had a decent relationship with Hixson Branch although they never could get my checks printed with the correct information but I am still using them. I gave them a B+ for really being nice and trying. Fast Forward -- I moved to East Ridge area about a year ago and started using the Branch off Ringgold Road. Big difference. About 4 months ago, I wrote a business check for something I purchased and told them to go to my bank and cash it - there is money in the account. When they got there they were told there was a 7.50 fee (I think that was the amount). I said how can that be...it is my bank, my check and they know it is not going to bounce.. did not make sense. So I decided to go back to the bank with them thinking since I had a lot of money in the bank (well to me it was a lot), and a long time customer, this had to be a mistake. I have 2 checking accounts and a savings accounts, surely they would waive the fee for my friend. Boy WAS I wrong... When I went there the lady behind the infamous "DESK" told me sorry "all banks are starting to charge that" she said. And there was nothing she could do. So much for being in charge LOL. That was couple months ago. SO fast forward again. Yesterday, I go to this branch because I have to have some changes made to my account which can only be done by the person "behind the desk". She with a customer, and was just finishing up. There was another customer ahead of us so we sat down thinking this should not take long. I was with my daughter and 15-month old grandbaby and I did not mind waiting while she took care of another customer. However, I just wish she had acknowledged my existence and MAYBE tell me it was going to be a long time before she could wait on us. She had to realize that as she was helping the other customer. After about 25 minutes, we left. I will go to Hixson to get what I need done and when I take care of my banking issues and things settle down, I am changing banks. I am tired of being treated by this bank like and inconvenience. No wonder on line finance companies are doing so well, customer service is dying at brick and motor banks. Boy am I being negative .. sorry.. Wait till I find a great bank .. I will make up for this :-) read more
