I recently had to handle a sensitive family financial matter involving multiple accounts after a death in the family. While I understand these processes can involve internal procedures and compliance requirements, what should have been a manageable banking transaction turned into nearly 7 hours across two separate visits just to gain access to funds that should have been straightforward to retitle and transfer. The most frustrating part was not the process itself. It was the complete lack of teamwork and leadership inside the branch. The one employee who consistently demonstrated professionalism and genuine concern was Edi. She clearly cared, returned calls, followed up, and did everything she could to move the process forward. Unfortunately, she appeared to be left largely on her own to navigate a complicated internal system that she was still trying to fully master. Rather than proactively supporting her, others in the branch seemed content to wait until asked for help. Nick, who clearly understood the systems better than others, chose at one point to raise his voice at me during the interaction instead of helping de-escalate an already frustrating situation. That kind of behavior toward a customer dealing with a family death is unacceptable under any circumstance. The biggest disappointment, however, was the leadership. After more than 3 hours waiting during my second visit, Assistant Branch Manager Erik finally approached me only after being prompted to do so. His initial response was essentially that there was nothing he could do. No apology. No ownership of the situation. No effort to actively assist the employee struggling through the process. He quickly offered to let me file a complaint, but offered very little actual leadership until it became clear the issue would have to be resolved before closing time. That was the moment the urgency suddenly changed. At any point during those hours, leadership could have stepped in, checked on the situation, supported their employee, communicated proactively, or simply treated the customer with empathy and respect. None of that happened. One of the reasons organizations decline is because of the behavior leadership chooses to tolerate. This branch does not appear to suffer from a lack of intelligence or capability. It suffers from a lack of accountability, teamwork, urgency, and customer care. If Wells Fargo corporate leadership reads these reviews, they should understand this: Edi is not the problem. The branch culture and leadership response are. If you cannot avoid Wells Fargo altogether, I would strongly recommend using another branch.

UPDATE: So I called the bank this morning and thanks to Lisa, I was refunded the $216 NSF fee!!…read more To say I'm shocked would be an understatement. Never expected that. I'm leaving at 4 stars because of the ATM fees for using other ATMs. If they lost that $3 fee, I'd give 5 stars. Plus, not going to let one ladies misinforming me ruin the entire company's reputation. Thank you Regions for making my day! I have had nothing but bad luck with this bank. You're only allowed to use their ATMs to avoid the $3 fee they charge for other ATM usage. I always arrive when theres a technician working on the ATM, which seems to be a lot lately. Why have a tech there at 10am? Why not before you open or right at closing? Quite inconvenient. I decided to opt in for the overdraft protection, like a dummy. My understanding was the bank would cover your overdraft for $36. I called the office the other day to ask... If I have $3.00 in my account at the moment but have 6 or 7 transactions pending, and I pull out $100 in a couple of hours, will that mess up my account or will I only be charged the $36 for pulling out the $100? The lady told me that I'd only incur the $36 fee because they go by the time you made purchases and only charge the fee for the transaction that puts you in the negative. Well, I pulled the $100 out on the way to work. NOT THINKING about that $3 ATM fee. I used an ATM at a gas station and went on about my day. Can you guys guess what happened? If you said screwed up your account, youd be correct. Checked my balance and as of right now, I'm -$380.54. And you know what? $216 is JUST for NSF fees. That $3 ATM fee, tagged for $36 NSF, plus all my other pending items bounced. Why did the employee tell me differently? Going in the morning to opt OUT. Check this company's policies out before you join!! I'll be swapping banks soon. I use too many different ATMS to be charged for it. Plus being told 1 thing & the complete opposite occurs, not cool.

I paid the first loan without any payments being late. Onto the second loan where this month my bank account was compromised for a 25.00 bogus echeck. I had to change accounts etc. I had a payment scheduled to CFFCU which didn't go through due to the account being on hold. I called CFFCU to let them know what was going on and asked if the late fee could be waived. Soon as I asked that, Terri acted like I was lying and asked if I had proof, which of course I have plenty. When I said I did have proof, she stated that it was against Federal law to wave late fees due to possible discrimination. WHAT??? I've never had a banking institution under those circumstances refuse to waive a late charge. Needless to say, due to her attitude and lack of willingness to help, I will never get another loan here nor do I recommend this institution. I don't like being accused of lying, and I don't like being lied to. Stay away from this place, something isn't right...
