I think there are only 2 benches side by side, but you can always sit down on a concrete part near the pool. In fact, it was the perfect spot when the ice cream truck came on the street behind it and played it's song. We ran towards it. It was the perfect treat for the summer...and by the pool! Great for kids. They even get card now a days :D Very friendly families so kids can play with each other and share toys :)

The…read moreland and house is still owned by family and the Dahl Playfield is a nearby field of choice when going for a walk from the house. When my mom was growing up this was a playfield she visited. In my lifetime, the Dahl Playfield has been a place I have visited for sports and as a place to go and meander and/or play with my family. The playfield is much greener than it used to be, the wading pool has remained the same. The skate park is a relatively new addition. It is not a park where I have felt unsafe in my visits. In my experience the fields, trails, wading pool, and playground have all been well maintained. There is a parking lot where you can park your vehicle if driving to the park on the 25th Avenue NE side of the park. My mom and my most recent visit to the playfield on 23 June 2020 after visiting the Wedgwood house we walked through the park and reminisced about how it has changed over the years. Lots of kiddos when we visited, tis the summer season though.

This is perfect for a hot day where you need shade for a walk, or a drizzly day- as the tree cover blocks the rain and the boardwalk blocks the mud. You can also see the salmon swimming up the river here if you go at the right time! Totally magical and wonderful. Though it is in a neighborhood and next to the school, you kind of feel like you are in the middle of the forest. Parking is always easy here- lot's of street parking along the neighborhood road. Look for the gates to enter either end of the trail to the left of the skatepark. So fun!

The trails were relatively well maintained but not particularly wide and, as others have said - quite a bit of garbage around. Lots of fun things to look at and very accessible for our kids. I did notice that a number of trees look like they are unhealthy and perhaps needed to be taken down. Lots of shade for a warm day.

This was a sacred place to the indigenous peoples who lived here originally. There was a small bowl…read morethat the spring was coming up into. The Creeks run through in between the houses in the overpacked neighborhood around the sacred area. The spring has now been piped so deep underground that there's no water in the bowl. There is and was a nice creek that had been rehabilitated and animals reintroduced native to the area as far as frogs and other things like salamanders and bird habitats Etc. Then the homeless started moving in and lots of drug use. I'm told you can't even go there now that you're literally walking through somebody's campsite if you go on to the trails. This park has a huge place in my heart but can no longer go to it because of the fact that you're walking through some of these living room instead of a park. There was a lot of fecal fecal matter / human. Needles and the expected unhygienic things of community not being cared for. It was sad enough for the spring dried up. Well it didn't really dry up it was piped because of the houses in the area. It makes me sick that we would go and take a beautiful piece of land that was so sacred the original European families like the Denny's the borans and others used to Camp there. It was literally wild for them. Now it's the wrong kind of wild. It's bad enough we took this land away from people now we're letting it be a garbage dump and that water goes into Lake Washington and then our ocean so it needs to be cared for I'd rather have people on this side of the freeway than in the Parks polluting the water. So sad. I wanted to take a friend there and then I thought what am I thinking this is a dumb.

My favorite part of this park is the glacial erratic that's just to the side of the skate park. Though not as mighty as the Lake Stevens erratic, this one is pretty darn impressive. Parking is plentiful and there's a porta-john on site for that need.

I competed and practiced at Twin Ponds Park when I was growing up for soccer, back when the soccer…read morefield was made of dirt. The dirt field was fun as it allowed us to adapt our soccer skills to different natural conditions (standing water on a dirt field, inches thick mud, loose dirt, and dirt hard as pavement because it froze in 20 degree Fahrenheit weather after a rain). The times the dirt froze helped up become more conscientious runners on the field, especially in regards to how we would run so our feet would not catch on the frozen dirt. Aside from the soccer field, there is grass area to warm up, walk around, or take a picnic. A trail system winds around the two ponds. On my visit today, Wednesday 26 July 2023, I saw geese, ducks, a great blue heron, a few small blue dragonflies, and gray squirrels. The restroom building had running water and soap. Parking was abundant as it was quiet, on days we had soccer games it could fill up quickly.

Now because there's a pond or lake next to the field there's a great possibility of losing your $150 soccer ball when it flys into the lake. Also a short distance away is Jerseys Sports Bar for after game nacho's & beers.
