We put our kids skates in, turned around and one walker was gone we went to the front desk and they said it was our responsibility to look after it and if someone took it there's nothing they can do and we would have to pay to get another one It sounds naive but wish they would have given disclosure of that... also didn't think someone would just "steal" it

I'm not going to lie, I was kinda iffy on this place because of the reviews, so I set my expectation low. I submitted a party inquiry on their website, the price was pretty reasonable. After submitting the form, a party coordinator should contact you. I was anxious and called the facility because it was days after the online submittals. After that, she contacted me to confirm and make a payment. One part that she fell short on was saying that they would email me a few days prior to the event but the email never came, so not sure what it entails. There's two set price, $395 or $300. The room maximum is only 25 capacity. The price comes with 15 or 20 wristbands for ice skaters, depending on which rooms you choose. You let them know what color table cloth and 6 balloons you would like, it also comes with 24 bottles of water and goodie bags. You can buy more balloons, if you like. They sure make it super easy on parents. They only allow you to come 15 minutes early to set up, which isn't a lot of time. You just have to make sure that everyone arrive on time, as you only an hour to have the room to eat which doesn't seem like enough time and would feel rushed. If I could request a change, I would suggest that they let you have the room for the full 2.5 hrs. For example, 30 mins to set up, 2 full hrs for the room which could be used to eat, mingle, cake cutting and for cleaning up. Overall, it was a successful. The front staff was very kind and nice. Thank you for making it memorable for my daughter.

The interior was brighter (lighting wise) and the open skate more spread out, even with more people. The ice was still tricky for this female who did not take classes nor make open skate a part of my routine. That was perhaps the only drawback. Because of its more professional feel, some of the people who competed year-round in sports would only talk about where they wanted to compete/what sport they would want to do if they were not doing their current sport, etc. It could be kind of tiring as they tended to forget about the present, fantasizing about the future with those of "their kind" at the party instead of those of us who were focusing on just skating/having fun.

There are a few swings, 3 climbing structures with slides, and a few spinning things. It gets busy around 3 p.m. on weekdays. The bathrooms are pretty decent, and there are a couple of pickleball courts right next to the playground. Around the perimeter of the playground is a woodsy area with wild blackberries. Folks bring bags to pick blackberries as their children play. Overall, a fun playground that will keep your kids entertained for hours.

A visit to Seattle's new Lakeridge Playground. Some kids…read moremight call this time of year "spring," but mine know it as "empty playground season." We took advantage of a recent rain break to visit Rainier Beach's newly opened Lakeridge Playground. We had the place to ourselves all morning! Fairy tale fans: Do you remember how Goldilocks tries large, medium and small chairs before finding the perfect fit? That's how my kids reacted to the new play space. The tallest structure features a net climber with rings, a net arch and a big slide. The smallest structure, geared towards the 2-5-year-old age group, has a climbing wall and drums that entertained them for a little while, but overall was too easy.  The middle structure? The kids completed circuit after circuit of bounding across the jungle gym and then giving the rainbow sensory panel a spin before scaling the tower to wave at me from the top. There are double slides for downhill races, and a roller slide that makes your voice warble on the way down.  This new neighborhood play area is a great destination. Just remind me how much we love "empty playground season". My kids (8 years and 5 years) absolutely loved this playground.

When we walked in, the bouncer was sitting just inside the door. I had my ID ready expecting him to check it. We told him we were thinking about going into the rink but wanted to take a look first. He immediately got dismissive and said there was a cover charge. When I asked if we could just peek inside before deciding, he sarcastically said "would a night club just let you take a look if they were charging a cover?" Like that was not already obvious enough, he then went out of his way to mock the way we asked the question and told us he would have let us in if we had just asked differently. We were not trying to get in for free or cause any trouble. We were a group of women just looking to have a fun night out. To be spoken to that way, especially in front of my mom and her friends, was completely uncalled for. I will not be returning as long as this person is working the door.
