I start every business with 5 starts, which they can lose based on the experience. First off, the place of business is extremely uninviting and cold. Two desks in a big room, that's it. I met with Ricky who was not very personable, but that's ok. But his lack of experience or trustworthiness showed. He looked at pieces with his naked eye, gave me back 6 pieces that he stated were not sterling. i had to point out the sterling stamps to him. He gave a price for the sterling that was over 20% below spot. I also had a pile of jewelry I have him. He returned gold pieces when in fact they were gold. At this point, I'm going to play along because he obviously doesn't want my business or doesn't know his work. He failed to recognize (or properly quote) a high quality GIH diamond and when I asked him to re-quote without the diamond, he sighed and told me he was only quoting the entire lot. My next appt was with PMR, night and day difference and they will get my repeat business. read more

Friendly and quick and easy. We had a great conversation with the gentleman who helped us. Brought in old and broken jewelry and he explained the process and answered all our questions. Found out my ex from 20 years ago gave me three pieces of fake Tiffany jewelry. At least they were real silver. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Recommend this spot. We were walk ins and helped right away. read more

Very pleased with the amount offered for our bills, after being told elsewhere they had no value.

I went here for an estimate. I has 3 pieces 1 was wrappers up in jeweler paper. The guy in a beard does all of his tests and gives me a price. I was looking for more so I said I'll just keep it. HE RUDELY THREW IT BACK AT ME. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK TO THIS STORE OR EVER RECOMMEND ITNTO ANYONE!!!!!! I have never seen such HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

The Gold Exchange in Palm Desert exceeded my expectations. This was my first experience selling metals and I had no idea how the process worked. Ricky gave me a warm welcome and schooled me on how he would determine the value of my random pieces of jewelry. He's an interesting, intelligent and professional man and very easy to talk with. The process was painless and I felt the valuation was accurate and fair. I will definitely use them in the future. read more

Had a recent visit to Crown, being the only Gold Exchange I trust in the area. I worked with Susana many times prior but she is no longer with them. I was greeted by Ricky the new manager. He's a very friendly and extremely thorough new addition to the store. Rest assured he will quote you honestly and fairly and all the while be personable while doing so. He's knowledgeable and helpful beyond measure. It's always a relief knowing Crown will take care of me in a way in which I am comfortable with. Ricky is a top professional. read more

This is not true. I took gold in and she gave me 25$ less than what she first said she would! She only gave me 100$ & when I asked about the so called "10$ bonus for leaving a yelp review" she said NO ..& that she would not be making any money off me I dont think they're the best and was told false information originally. Bad business I do NOT recommend this place and wont be back. They give fake information and the owner just replied to this trying to make them sound better but absolutely nothing is true. upsetting I will not contact them They have my info if they feel this is wrong. read more

This is the place you want to go if you have gold or silver you need to sell, and Ricky is the guy you want to deal with. We recently lost a family member and had to go through the process of sorting out the estate. It was an emotional process for all of us but eventually we collected any jewelry and gold that we needed to sell. I felt that most of the pawn shops and gold buyers that I contacted were kinda shady, that was before I called here. From the moment I walked in there was a very professional vibe. Ricky, the person I had talked to on the phone, helped me sort through everything I brought in and informed me of what each item was valued at. The sale was easy, fair, and ended up being a great experience. Im looking forward to the next time I have to sell jewelry or gold, Im for sure going to go back and see Ricky. read more
