This place would be your typical covered indoor mall. Theres not much to it besides the main stores with Macys, Dicks and JC Pennys as they're major department stores. They have some of the other basics you would get inside any mall. HM, Finish Line, Hollister, Lids, Vans, Bath and Body Works and so on. Your regular retail chain stores. It's a decent size mall that you could walk down the whole strip in no time. Not overly big. Lately whenever I pop in to windows shop, it's not that busy. But I guess now as school is starting soon it has picked up a lot. They do have some restaurants as well as smaller snack booth. It's sucks that this is the only mall in the desert. You would think that they would make it way better to cater to everyone. But I guess it's going well so far. Not a lot of stores that I've been to as they're new to me. Plenty of parking with outdoor as well as a covered parking structure in the back.

I too read, like you are read reviews on Crown Gold Exchange before I made my way to Palm Desert. I walked in and met with a lady. She had no name tag on nor did she introduce her name to me. I was left around twenty sterling silver spoons by my grandfather. A few I found to be desirable and the others off to melt. I know silver is pretty cheap these days. Today August 3, 2016 it is $17.33 per Troy ounce. I figure I'll have just under a hundred dollars to enjoy. Well the unidentified woman offers me $30.00. Wow I thought. I ask her rate she is paying me and she says $9.00 per ounce. I tell her silver is 17 per and why so low. She said, " that is the pure silver rate." I said no, it's sterling silver rate. How can she give me a price when she does not even know the value? She also was rude, texting a friend, laughing and totally making me feel like I was Mr. Unimportant Silver seller. I found Crown Gold Exchange to be very unprofessional. Their ad states, "highest paid for gold and silver". 55%, that's what she offered me cause she, " she needs to make money too." Right on girl. I have been to this store location twice now, and each time I have had a positive experience. Alisha was working during my first visit; where she took her time thoroughly explaining the various questions I presented. She has a great energy and very thoughtful approach to sales. Alisha spoke highly of Shaina - whom she mentioned as the other rep I would see at the Palm Desert location. On my second visit I nicely greeted by Shaina. Shaina is equally focused on a quality customer experience and succeeded in her efforts during our interaction. To put it briefly , Alisha and Shaina provide excellent customer service on all levels. First visit GREAT - very professional and gave me good returns on jewelry sold. Second visit i felt i was short changed by $500 to $1000. Why? because i researched gold prices at home, weighed with a digital scale and rough estimated the value. secondarily the different person on the second visit didn't look for makers marks which are usually "non-melt sales" and also rough estimated the weights with gemstones still attached. [could've taken those out and i would've felt better about weights] i felt as if the 18k offer was right and the 10k offer was correct but later on after checking my figures at home it seemed the 14k offer was low. would i go again? YES. This is a business with more than a few shops and not a stand alone gold buyer. Preparing myself better before i went the second time would've removed my doubts. read more

My husband and I went Saturday to this location to get an appraisal on silver coins that the family inheritance, Susan was so patience going thru hundreds of coins. She was very informative and knowledgeable. Even tho we didn't sold, she did not charge us anything for appraising the coins. Because there part of a trust, we were force to to take 2 appraisals, so today we went to another place to get prices on just a few of the coins and the price was way below that we were offer here. Once this trust is ready we are going to come back and sell the whole collection. I stopped in at Crown after going to several other places. I left the other places because they just didn't make me feel comfortable doing business with them. I had seen info on the internet about Crown Gold Exchange so I thought I'd give them a try. Ian helped me out at Crown and I felt like I was dealing with a close friend in my living room. I then visited various gold buys advertised in the valley and found some estimated my jewelry undervalue and in fact rude. I usually visit the Redlands location, but I was informed there's multiple stores which was a pleasant surprise. I was helped out by the manager of the Palm Desert location. Definitely a great option instead of using Rocky's pawn shop. There are employees at Rocky's pawn shop that I do enjoy I'm a jewelry reseller so I bring gold and silver once a month. Several times at Rocky's I have been made to feel like I'm less than human. Crown Gold exchange on the other hand made me feel welcomed I had wonderful conversations with the employee and I've gone back twice since and had no issues. While The Vault did not have estate jewelry, they had a very nice collection of new/modern jewelry in lovely displays. It was nice to see quite a few unique pieces, such as large gem rings of Ametrine, which I don't see in other stores.
