I've been living in Crown Forest Apartments for 2 years and this is the best place! I have lived & seen other apartments and this one is the best! The apartments are kept very nice and all the issues are addressed in a timely manner. The Swimming Pool is always clean and the waterfall is always on! They have grilling pits near the pool and in the lawn. The pest control & maintenance is done regularly. The leasing office area is available for any gatherings/parties. The staff is very friendly and any special requests are accommodated. Overall, very good place to live in Lufkin. read more

Maintenance was always quick to respond to any requests and was helpful throughout my year. The front gate did not close for the majority of my year here. Appliances are nice but older. Be sure to set a reminder to yourself when moving out, as the complex does not notify you when your move out decision is due and you may be faced with paying additional rent. read more

Water bill is super high; 1 bedroom cost me about $55 monthly. My house I paid about $45, watering the lawn. Stephanie (black female) lived in apartment 102. She went out of her way to pester me, bully me, scream at me, she would slam the garbage lid down on purpose to provoke a fight. Manager Connie did NOTHING. Manager Connie rushed over to the property on her day off, Saturday to confront a tenant who had a service dog; Connie forced them not to have their service dog. Very rude, unreasonable, they charge a non refundable $500 dog fee. Bliss (white female) lived in my building and hit my car door, scratched my new car on purpose, denting it, because she did not want me to park next to her. Manager Connie did NOTHING. I hated the security gates. Unable to use the swimming pool; it was filled with people, no room, no privacy. read more

We have been at Crown Forest for 2 years. This complex is nestled in a beautiful wooded area in deep East Texas. We enjoy walking our small dog around the very well maintained property. The pool has an amazing fountain that flows 24/7. It has a very well equipped, safe & clean Fitness Center. The management has always been very friendly, efficient and helpful. Maintenance is quick to respond and repair any issues. We enjoy how quiet and secure the complex is. We would highly recommend Crown Forest Apartments. read more

I have been at Crown Forest for a year. This is a fantastic complex. Secure, gated community. Great neighbors. It is great to have a washer and dryer in your apartment, which all their units do have. Well maintained landscaping. The office staff is spectacular. Always friendly and willing to assist in any way possible. The maintenance staff is "TOP NOTCH". I don't think you could find any two guys in the world that are better than these two. The units are well maintained with nice wood flooring and carpet in the bedrooms. Great place to live. Crown Forest has been such an awesome place to live. The property is set behind a wooded area which makes it very quiet and secluded. The staff are very nice and they always make sure to know you personally and that makes a difference to me. When I have a problem the employees are quick to respond and resolve the issue:) Although I don't have many problems at all seeing that the property and the units are close to brand new! I wouldn't wish this living experience on anyone. I lived in Crown Forest for a very short period of time and was forced to move away from Lufkin early by some unfortunate life circumstances. The staff and owner were all very unhelpful to do anything except line their own pockets. These people just want to make money and have no morals or ethics that I was able to discern. At one point in the process they said I would owe no more money and then suddenly changed their mind and said I owed them for another month while I was no longer living in the apartment. I ended up paying close to $3000 for a 7 day stay in Crown Forest. Nearly the entire time the staff was renting this apartment to another person so they could get double rent. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. If you have any life events then they will have no mercy on you. read more

Similar to the other reviewer I had a terrible experience with this place. The front desk staff seem to care only before you sign your lease. After you sign your lease they could care less whether you have any problems in your apartment or not. They are rude and make false promises when you have any issues arise. I was also overcharged for my stay. They seem to think they can get away with anything once you sign your lease and will charge extra money that isn't in the lease. (and they get away with it too). I highly recommend avoiding this place and staying at some of the other nicer apartments in town. I just don't want other people to go through what we went through. read more

Unlike the few poor reviews left here, we have had nothing but a wonderful experience! My fiancé and I were completely new to this area and moved from over 5hrs away on very short notice. The front desk from prior to signing the lease, to date, has been nothing but helpful and friendly, always willing to answer questions! For example, our freezer went out and defrosted everything but maintenance came ASAP, checked it out, went that night and bought us a new one! The water bill comes directly from the company that is in charge of the meters and is charged per apartment, which is really nice because instead of being charged evenly across the board for all residents at a higher rate, you are in total control of your water usage and get charged for only that! For electricity you get to choose your own electric company to go through and same with cable/ internet. As for the community itself, we have been here now for 6 months beginning this past summer. We have found the complex to be really enjoyable, mostly quiet/ calm, with friendly neighbors and other friendly residents we've come across when walking the dog. The complex does have rules, but for great reasons! Of the several apartments we have lived in over the years while in school and now adult life, Crown Forest has by far been our favorite! read more
