From the moment I walked into this place through the first and the second installment, I was so flippin pleased that I can hardly contain myself. Let me first start out by saying, my husband and I initially went to a place called Momax in Merrillville with awful response service. We had to call numerous times, despite visiting them a second time since no email or calls were being replied to even after they said they would reach out. We finally gave up and searched for another local countertop company. [we have connects in Illinois, but wanted to keep it local] So glad we did and found Prestige!!! The second I walked in to Prestige Custom Stone, The front door staff were very friendly and helpful ...even their beautiful lab was friendly!! Debbie came out to the showroom & approached me asking what I was looking to do, once I explained what I was trying to acquire, she asked if I'd give her a lil time to do a search and she'd be back. Within about 15 minutes she came out with an elaborate hand written list of the quartz products that she felt would match my requests. She literally took the time to hand write these items!!! In addition, she gave me a list of vendors which carried the product & where I could visit to touch, see and choose the exact quartz. Soon as we walked out the door we were approached by a gentleman asking if we found everything we were looking for; I actually did have another question. He then directed me to another guy [the owner] who graciously answered my question & some, even with us interrupting his lunch. Thankfully it was noted the one item I had a sample of would not work in the area I was looking to have done. Hubs and I took a ride out to the vendors, found the PERFECT quartz and the deal was made. The fella who was measuring everything couldn't have been nicer and more precise in all his accuracy and suggestions. Super nice guy! The guys fabricating did an AMAAAAAAZING job on the counter matching all the veins perfectly with our requested mitered edges. Just awesome!! The crew installing the counters were exceptionally fun, nice, professional, clean, placing tarps everywhere and vacuuming and wiping every imaginable area that may have been affected. They did everything right even asking 'hows this, you good with this?" We then thought to ask if they were able to take our old counter pieces and fabricate the [2 pieces] accordingly to fit our newer laundry room cabinet tops. For a small fee, they 'Made The Old Counters Work' for this space!! We were so excited!! What would have otherwise been tossed out was wonderfully repurposed by these amazing people! I can't say enough about Prestige and will DEFINITELY be recommending them to EVERYBODY & ANYBODY who needs stone surface materials. Thank you Prestige...You ROCK!!! This place gets 1 stars for: - Free delivery, right down the street, except it wasn't free - Having higher grade windows with a better price point The rest of the experience completely sucked! After ordering the windows, we realized that fixed windows wouldn't be best for upstairs. After calling Allied, we waited 10 days to hear back about whether or not we could refund the windows. We literally heard back from them a day before delivery! And of course, they couldn't be refunded. Oops, not to mention, that I later discovered they charged me a delivery fee and had to call and have it refunded. What company leaves their customers hanging without any answer for 10 days? What's worse is they don't have a return policy at all! So technically, we could have argued that the windows should have been returnable, but who wants to endure all of that stress?!? Furthermore, is the sickening fact that we had well intended to purchase 7 more windows from them, so the fact that they weren't willing to budge or move on helping us out at all was extremely disappointing. While the sales lady was very nice and helpful, I don't think she advocated enough for the customer, she seemed passive. If taking back one window would have gotten her 7 more windows in sales...well, you can do the math there, it would have been totally worth it!! What's more is that my windows arrived extremely dirty. The wood framing was filled with black finger prints. No one so much as bothered to handle my windows with care. The delivery driver only showed up with himself to drop off two windows at 400lbs each. Who did he expect to help him? The bf had to pitch in and help him unload. That's absurd! The liability should have knocked them down! It's fair to say the delivery driver was nice. To conclude this menagerie of craziness, I had to ask one of the sales ladies to have their branch manager contact me.... he should have reached out, if he cared! He was nice enough, but didn't address any issues, except to say that they would offer some sort of discount on any future windows purchased. If a company can't/won't rectify the current issue, I have no faith in spending anymore money with them!
