I realized my short review doesn't even cover what this law firm did for me. Depending on your…read moresituation you may be able to retain Liss Law if you choose to file bankruptcy for a flat fee. I worked with one of their lawyers who did an outstanding job. Liss Law walked me through the entire process and ensured I completed all my required seminars to comply with Bankruptcy rules and guidelines. They filed all the paperwork for me which was very helpful because the process itself looks very overwhelming. During the bankruptcy proceedings I had a debtor who challenged the bankruptcy proceedings that their debt was non-dis-chargeable under bankruptcy law. It took over 2 years of back and forth with the debtors lawyer but in the end they caved and their entire settlement was discharged. Liss Law goes above and beyond to help you throughout the bankruptcy process and their dedication to knowing the laws, as they change, and their determination to get you out of debt is stellar and nothing less than what you would expect from a reputable law firm. Thank you Liss Law and my lawyer for all your help. I can now start fresh.

I felt like my attorney from this firm /Laura Adam did not properly represent me as a buyer agent…read moreand put me in a very disadvantaged position. It seems like everything she did was in favor of the seller, so I'm not sure if she knows them personally or dont know how to act like a buyer agent. She never sent me updated Hoa budget, and I was not told that she received it until after closing when the HOA insisted that she should have the budget info. She never explained that the mortgage contingency ends at the commitment deadline so even if you meet it you no longer are in a period cover by that contingency. So if you end up suddenly losing your job you are not cover by that contingency anymore. Also I requested 5 day extension for the commitment due date since it was very short timeframe, and she put in request for 3 days instead and argue with me about it. I still Wonder to this day if there is something else she knows that the seller told her that she never bother to pass on the info. I still felt upset and that I was screwed on this transaction.

One word to describe Petra: AMAZING! Our real estate agent…read morerecommended Petra to us and we are so fortunate that he did because our condo deal would just not have gone through if it weren't for her and our agent! Our closing, unfortunately, coincided with the COVID-19 lockdown so there was a lot of trepidation around whether we would actually be able to close or not but Petra pushed through and made sure that we got our home. She followed up on every single detail and kept us informed throughout and she went above and beyond to ensure that all the asks we had coming out of the inspection were well documented and contractually agreed upon with the sellers. Another hiccup was around the seller's attorney - he was very stuck up, rude, and almost jeopardized the deal but Petra ensured that she took care of every detail despite this. No matter what time of day it was, Petra was always available to answer and support us and we are very thankful for her work. I would recommend her to EVERYONE!

Stay away from this firm!!! They were hired to update our existing Trust documents. The good news…read moreis that they give you a free 2 hour consultation. After that it's all downhill. They charge $2,000 more for the same services other Trust Attorneys offer. Shortly after the initial consultation and the first of 3 payments, my wife suffered a ruptured appendix with complications that kept her hospitalized for 9 days with an additional 5 days at home with a drain. I received a very nasty e-mail from David Feakes demanding that I keep to the schedule, which was meeting with the attorney drafting the documents for only 1 hour. That was the only meeting allowed other than the final signing. It's impossible to review all those documents in that short a time. And their secure portal Clio was an absolute farce. It would kick you off after only a short time to review the documents. My wife and I have had our Trust documents updated by 3 different law firms. And at each update, we've met in person numerous times to review and discuss changes either side thought should be made. Not so with this firm. You get only a single 1 hour meeting. To top it off, I gave them the 2nd payment as agreed at that 1 hour meeting only to find that they had done an EFT from my bank without my permission at the same time. When I gave them the check for the final payment at the sign off meeting, I discovered afterward that they had already helped themselves to my checking account a month before the final payment was due. So I had to pay my bank $30 to void my check for that final payment . Larry L.
