I felt like my attorney from this firm /Laura Adam did not properly represent me as a buyer agent and put me in a very disadvantaged position. It seems like everything she did was in favor of the seller, so I'm not sure if she knows them personally or dont know how to act like a buyer agent. She never sent me updated Hoa budget, and I was not told that she received it until after closing when the HOA insisted that she should have the budget info. She never explained that the mortgage contingency ends at the commitment deadline so even if you meet it you no longer are in a period cover by that contingency. So if you end up suddenly losing your job you are not cover by that contingency anymore. Also I requested 5 day extension for the commitment due date since it was very short timeframe, and she put in request for 3 days instead and argue with me about it. I still Wonder to this day if there is something else she knows that the seller told her that she never bother to pass on the info. I still felt upset and that I was screwed on this transaction. read more

We recently leveraged Sherman Law for our re-finance. Sherman Law, specifically Jessica Fennessy, could not have made our refinance any smoother/turnkey. When it came to collecting documents form our existing mortgage provider to filling out paperwork for the new mortgage, she was there every step of the way to educate on each step. Real estate paperwork is extremely cumbersome, it makes a big difference when you are working with a lawyer who has a clear understanding of the material.
