Summer in the North Fork is a treat-and a visit to Croteaux is just the icing on the rose cake! My friends, residents of the area, have Croteaux on the top of their list when hosting friends, and I can see why. Croteaux is a picturesque vineyard serving up delish rose and bubbles all with chic country (and a little boho) decor. They do not take rezzies, so arrive early (our goal was to get there before noon and so glad we did!). It's seems to be *the* destination for girlie gatherings and group outings. We checked out the boutique, and I walked away with a summery candle and some salted caramels; and my bestie purchased some cute sunnies and a bottle of rose. Highly rec and would love to go back on another beautiful day.

A Hidden Rosé Paradise! Croteaux Vineyards is an absolute gem. If you're a rosé lover (or even if you're not--yet), this place is a must-visit. The entire vineyard feels like you've stepped into a peaceful French countryside escape right in the heart of the North Fork. The setting is absolutely stunning--lush gardens, cozy seating, ivy-covered walls, and soft music that sets the perfect tone. It's serene, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. Now let's talk rosé--WOW. They specialize in it, and every single pour was refreshing, light, and flavorful without being overpowering. I loved how they offered a tasting flight so I could try several styles and find my favorite. The staff was warm, welcoming, and so knowledgeable. No pretentious wine talk--just genuinely nice people who love what they do and want you to have a great experience. Croteaux is the kind of place you visit once and immediately start planning your return. I loved and enjoyed it so very much--and I'm already missing it. Highly recommend for a peaceful day trip, a girls' day out, or just a solo escape with a good glass of wine.

This is my faaaavorite vineyard at the moment. The decor takes you away from New York and instantly transports you to a countryside with soothing music that instantly puts you at ease. The wines are delicious, i love everything on their still flight. They serve a bread with herbed cheese that you must have and can purchase to go. And did i mention they provide blankets?? Everyone is kind and accommodating. Whenever i need a mini-vacation this is the place i think of

My favorite vineyard on the North Fork. I will admit I have not been to them all but I have been to my fair share and this one just slaps that hard. Croteaux is one of the North Fork vineyards that specializes primarily in rosé. They don't take reservations and its first come first serve. The grounds are gorgeous. The wine is delicious. The food they have is very good as well. Your really can't go wrong You can do a flight or sparkling or still rosé. The still flight comes with 6 tastings while the sparkling comes with 3. We also go the lobster roll sliders, bread with a herb spread and the tomato confit. Lobster sliders are amazing and should not be overlooked when coming here. Be sure to buy a bottle of wine or hit up their gift shop which had super cute stuff including these quilted jackets which apparently are so hot right now.

Croteaux is my new must visit in the North Fork! This vineyard is so charming. They really nailed the aesthetics and it feels luxurious to be there. We went on one of the most beautiful days of the year - the weather was perfection, which only made the ambiance that much more gorgeous. We sat outside under an umbrella in cafe chairs on the lawn. I ordered a sparkling flight for $26, and we shared the lobster sliders, herbed cheese, and tomato confit. It was a great spread, but next time I would skip the confit. The sparkling wines were delicious and I really enjoyed all 3. Honestly, I could have sat outside for another hour and enjoyed a second flight. I'll definitely be bringing friends and family here in the future. Make sure to check out their shop on your way out!

The cutest (rosé only) spot. Wine is yummy but you're really there for the vibes. The building/property are gorgeous. I've only had the French fries but the other food seemed good too. Dog friendly and they have a cute little store full of merch and wine, of course. Lovee this place!

I love this place a lot! Only downfall is that it gets packed but hey that's good for their business. Ambiance is a 5/5 because no matter where you sit its a good vibe. Service is 5/5 as everyone working is always very nice even when its hectic Food (3/5) the fries were good but wasn't sold on the lobster roll mini I do wish they had sparkling wine for the magnum bottles.

One of my favorite places. Rosé all day, everyday l. Service is a bit slow when they are really busy. But worth the wait. I usually get the rosé flight but this time I got just glass of Rosé. Perfect way to spend a lovely afternoon. Beautiful vineyard. Perfect for pictures

There are many pretty vineyards with picturesque views and quaint and cozy tasting rooms. But Croteaux is simply one of the best for ambiance. A rustic barn that doubles as a gift shop sets the tone. Hostess and waitstaff decked in birks and flowy dresses subtly augments the airy feel. A courtyard of sorts is peppered with small seating arrangements of Adirondack chairs and small tables facing outward from a large, central tree. Other pockets of seating thoughtfully sprinkled throughout allow comfortable seating without feeling crowded; no small feat on a sunny Saturday or Sunday! The best seats present a view through catmint (lavender? Whatever. It was purple.) and to the bines beyond. (Tip- if you're allergic to bees, do NOT sit here!) The entire effect is idyllic and one can imagine sitting in your own private villa in southern France. There is a decent selection of snacks. We ordered the lobster sliders which were described as "shareable". Delicious but only shareable if you're Kate Moss in the 80's prepping for a photo shoot by binging on caffeine and cocaine. Be a baller and get a whole order for yourself. Croteaux is famed for its rosé so don't come here looking for big, brooding reds. They offer both sparkling and still varieties. The tasting flight is a nice way to experience their offerings. During a subsequent visit we shared a bottle of the Jolie which was clean, refreshing and, to me, had notes of strawberry and... cantaloupe? (I'm more of a craft beer / bourbon guy so take that for what it's worth.) Perfect for a sunny Sunday. Speaking of which, the place can get PACKED. I highly recommend sneaking out during the week when it feels like you have the whole place to yourself (go ahead! Take a mental health day! You deserve it!) or make this place your first stop and go EARLY. There have been a couple of times where we arrived later than usual and the parking lot was packed so we aborted the mission and drank elsewhere those days. If you're a "rosé all day" kinda person, add a star. If rosé isn't normally in your wheelhouse, you owe it to yourself to go anyway, at least once. I think you'll find yourself going back and enjoying rosé more each time. Cheers!

Cutest place for a girls day out and take some IG worthy photos at Croteaux. But the Rose here are horrible. We were not a big fan of it! But overall, great service and we loved the ambiance of this place!

Croteaux is the only vineyard in the US dedicated exclusively to Rose. Came here on a Sunday with a friend. They don't take reservations but it was our 2nd stop of the day on our wine crawl. The vineyard is super cute, spacious with a bohemian chic flare. Lots of photo-op areas. I really liked the glass bottle wall and the green Croteaux truck. Let them know that @iFancyNY sent you.

As a venue, I'd give it 5 stars. As a winery, they should consider BYOW (bring your own wine) Very nice staff. Very pretty setting. Very bad wine. I know taste is subjective. So if you don't know anything about wine, disregard my wine comments.

How much is a tasting? Do they offer tours as well?

I believe it's $18 for a tasting of 6 rosés which is really good value. I don't believe tours are offered.

My wife spotted this rustic looking facility, so I turned in and immediately got a good feeling about it. The owner greeted us and made us feel entirely welcome. We sat down and looked at the tasting choices and had a fairly easy time filling up our dance card with 5 selections. We had the place to ourselves at first, and spent time getting to know Perry, a woman whose family has owned the operation since 1974. She said most of the buildings date back from the mid 1859s. Entertainment was also provided by 20 chickens (17 hens and 3 roosters). The wines were wonderful and lovingly explained by Perry. We left with a red and a white, and a feeling that this had been a very special hour.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when it came to explaining the wines and guiding tastings. They were attentive when needed but also gave plenty of space, which added to the laid back vibe. The wine was pretty good overall. There was a nice variety available, and while not every wine stood out, several were enjoyable and well balanced. The quality matched the relaxed setting and made for a pleasant tasting. It is the kind of wine you can easily enjoy while sitting outside and taking in the scenery. Overall Old Field Vineyard offers good service, great ambience, and pretty good wine in a lovely setting. It may not be the most standout vineyard on the North Fork, but it is absolutely worth a visit if you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable wine tasting experience. A strong four star destination.

It's a shame because the grounds are beautiful, the staff that sat and served were very friendly. I was really looking forward to this visit. In email I was sent the menu, reservation policy, and a form to fill out with the option to pre order the mixed flight ($30 per person) or antipasto ahead of time. I had confirmed in written email that I had a group of 8 and I filled out the form for "number of guests at $30 per person" as 1. Everyone else in my group planned to order from the regular menu and do a couple of bottles for the table. When I arrived it was very disorganized and understaffed, with a big wait time to be seated and served. We were sitting for maybe a half hour before someone addressed us. When they did, they came out with 8 sets of the mixed flights! I said that I filled it out for 1 and that everyone else was ordering from the menu. So she went back to check with the manager, Julie. Before Julie even spoke I could feel a combative energy when approaching me. She said she "assumed" the 1 that I put for the mixed flight was "a typo" and couldn't respond to me as to why she didn't communicate the confusion. She said the group number applies to the number of flights. She said she can't just have everyone else "sitting around" and I assured her that everyone was getting something from the regular menu. She said that she never had a problem before and asked me if I even read the information that was sent to me. So basically if you do a group reservation, everyone is forced to do the mixed flight. Even if someone else wants the red flight which is not an option to pre order. She said we would need to order the mixed flights first to be able to order a bottle from the regular menu. No where did it say any of this ANYWHERE on this information sheet. I did in fact read it multiple times and had my group read it before making reservations. After going back and forth with me, she then says "you know what, do whatever you want to do so you can have a good day" very passive aggressively as if I offended her and walks away. Her tone was extremely condescending. My whole group was in shock and very uncomfortable. At this point we had been here for an hour and we were deciding what to do from here. The waitress came back and asked what we wanted to do and I said I wasn't sure because I am uncomfortable with how I was spoken to. She was very sweet and was understanding. She told us whatever we wanted to do if we wanted to stay, we can let her know what we want, which put us more at ease. I asked her for a couple of minutes and she said no problem just to grab her since she's all around. We couldn't find her after that and decided to leave. As a customer, I am appalled by the behavior of the manager. This was not professional or appropriate conduct. I feel for the staff who seem to be doing their best with the given situation.

Since we were a group of 7 and the offer only comes in a package for 2 or for 4, we bought two Groupons for the Wine Tasting Experience for four persons. The Wine Tasting Experience included a Boar's Head platter featuring uncured Genoa salami and mozzarella, and Wheat Thins crackers to share, wineglasses for each person to take home, and 5 wine tastings per person. When we arrived at Osprey's Dominion Vineyards, there were plenty of parking spots and we checked in at the Tasting Room. The staff member provided us with 8 wine tasting placemats so we could indicate which wine tastings we would like and briefly explained the different types of wine. We could choose from the red, white, reserve, and the dessert wine list. I chose mostly whites and 2 rosés. My favorite was the Semi-Dry Riesling, though the Gewurztraminer was a close second. There are plenty of tables in the Tasting Room with large windows and even more tables outside. Outside, there are some tables on the patio and even more tables on the great lawn with barbecue pits. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards allows guests to bring their own picnic lunches, which is wonderful. We had prepared some charcuterie, fruit, chips, and sandwiches. After we finished our wine tastings, I purchased a bottle of Semi-Dry Riesling 2018 and Malbec 2019 for us to share. Since we were Groupon customers, we received a 20% discount on the wine-bottle purchase. There is an even a 30% discount on a purchase of three bottles or more. My family took advantage the case offer for $119. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards was not busy on July 4th and we all had a great time at the vineyards. It was a beautiful day with not a single cloud in the sky. Staff were very friendly and carried out the case to our car. The Boar's Head platter was a little small for 2 people to share, so it was great that we could bring outside food. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards is very spacious with plenty of tables so it is great for big groups.

We were only there for about an hour, but it was easy to see why it's such a popular stop. The setting is exactly what you're hoping for at a North Fork winery--plenty of outdoor space, beautiful vineyard views, and a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a summer afternoon with friends. We shared one of the giant pretzels along with the stuffed grape leaves, both of which disappeared quickly. We also tried the wine frosés, which were cold, refreshing, and perfect for a hot day. They were a bit on the sweet side, though. One was just about right for me; I think a second would have been a little too much. The only reason I'm stopping at four stars instead of five is the staffing. We visited on a busy Saturday, and while everyone working was friendly and working hard, there simply weren't enough people to keep up with the crowd. That's on management, not the staff, who did a great job under the circumstances. One funny discovery: there was a local seafood truck from Bauman's parked on-site, but we didn't notice it until after we'd already polished off the pretzels and grape leaves. Next time. If you're exploring the North Fork wine trail with friends, Corey Creek is a fun stop and one I'd happily visit again. Just don't be surprised if service is a little slower during peak weekend hours.
