I attended an event at Croteaux this weekend and picturesque is absolutely the way to describe it. The grounds were thoughtfully maintained and had a number of different seating areas depending on your preference. Everywhere you look there is picture perfect scenery. There is a shop where you can purchase wine, candles and other locally sourced items. Although this space isn't typically used for events, the set up, service, and food was impressive. The way the food was presented, was perfect with the atmosphere. Everything was clean and the grounds including the parking lot were well maintained. Although I've never been here during normal operation, I will absolutely be back and will be sure to be recommending croteaux to others! read more

Summer in the North Fork is a treat-and a visit to Croteaux is just the icing on the rose cake! My friends, residents of the area, have Croteaux on the top of their list when hosting friends, and I can see why. Croteaux is a picturesque vineyard serving up delish rose and bubbles all with chic country (and a little boho) decor. They do not take rezzies, so arrive early (our goal was to get there before noon and so glad we did!). It's seems to be *the* destination for girlie gatherings and group outings. We checked out the boutique, and I walked away with a summery candle and some salted caramels; and my bestie purchased some cute sunnies and a bottle of rose. This is my faaaavorite vineyard at the moment. The decor takes you away from New York and instantly transports you to a countryside with soothing music that instantly puts you at ease. Croteaux is one of the North Fork vineyards that specializes primarily in rosé. They don't take reservations and its first come first serve. The grounds are gorgeous. The wine is delicious. The food they have is very good as well. Your really can't go wrong You can do a flight or sparkling or still rosé. The still flight comes with 6 tastings while the sparkling comes with 3. We also go the lobster roll sliders, bread with a herb spread and the tomato confit. Lobster sliders are amazing and should not be overlooked when coming here. Croteaux is my new must visit in the North Fork! This vineyard is so charming. They really nailed the aesthetics and it feels luxurious to be there. We went on one of the most beautiful days of the year - the weather was perfection, which only made the ambiance that much more gorgeous. We sat outside under an umbrella in cafe chairs on the lawn. I ordered a sparkling flight for $26, and we shared the lobster sliders, herbed cheese, and tomato confit. It was a great spread, but next time I would skip the confit. The sparkling wines were delicious and I really enjoyed all 3. Honestly, I could have sat outside for another hour and enjoyed a second flight. Went there with a few friends. They told us we couldn't all sit together. And we were not allowed to get up from our seats. I felt like I was in kindergarten. They sat us at these really small kid tables, I'm tall so my knees were over the table. Ordered 2 bottles of wine, they asked how many glasses. There are many pretty vineyards with picturesque views and quaint and cozy tasting rooms. But Croteaux is simply one of the best for ambiance. A rustic barn that doubles as a gift shop sets the tone. Hostess and waitstaff decked in birks and flowy dresses subtly augments the airy feel. A courtyard of sorts is peppered with small seating arrangements of Adirondack chairs and small tables facing outward from a large, central tree. Other pockets of seating thoughtfully sprinkled throughout allow comfortable seating without feeling crowded; no small feat on a sunny Saturday or Sunday! The best seats present a view through catmint (lavender? Whatever. It was purple.) and to the bines beyond. (Tip- if you're allergic to bees, do NOT sit here!) The entire effect is idyllic and one can imagine sitting in your own private villa in southern France. There is a decent selection of snacks. We ordered the lobster sliders which were described as "shareable". Delicious but only shareable if you're Kate Moss in the 80's prepping for a photo shoot by binging on caffeine and cocaine. Be a baller and get a whole order for yourself. Croteaux is famed for its rosé so don't come here looking for big, brooding reds. They offer both sparkling and still varieties. The tasting flight is a nice way to experience their offerings. During a subsequent visit we shared a bottle of the Jolie which was clean, refreshing and, to me, had notes of strawberry and... cantaloupe? (I'm more of a craft beer / bourbon guy so take that for what it's worth.) Perfect for a sunny Sunday. Speaking of which, the place can get PACKED. I highly recommend sneaking out during the week when it feels like you have the whole place to yourself (go ahead! Take a mental health day! You deserve it!) or make this place your first stop and go EARLY. There have been a couple of times where we arrived later than usual and the parking lot was packed so we aborted the mission and drank elsewhere those days. If you're a "rosé all day" kinda person, add a star. If rosé isn't normally in your wheelhouse, you owe it to yourself to go anyway, at least once. I have been to Croteaux a few times and I really enjoy how open and manicured this space is -- you step into an oasis which feels like the White Lotus. This is a rosé based winery and today we enjoyed their sparkling cab rosé blend which was quite refreshing! Kudos to the parking guy! We will be back. read more

This was the first time that I have come here and I am already looking forward to my next trip here. The winery itself is beautiful. We parked quickly and headed over to the tasting area. Obviously things are a little different in the COVID world so we had to have a mask on to enter and be seated. There are no reservations here so it was a first come first served but traffic is light on a Friday and we had no problems getting a table. The first thing I noticed was how wonderfully the tasting area is set up. I'll use the adjective, rustic-friendly-nuveau. It was a picture perfect day and being here as a wine-taster and photographer with my model and group of friends made for the perfect experience. While we were out back taking pictures, our friends ordered two bottles of wine. The selection we got (I did not know since I was busy with a camera) were delicious. I was so impressed with the selection. Obviously sparkling roses, it was tasty, filled my mouth with fruit and finished well with a lasting taste. The company and setting just enhanced the wonderful tasting experiece. Croteaux is on my return list as soon as we get back out east. I did the still flight and personally did not finish. I do think it's worth maybe splitting and taking in the atmosphere. I wish I enjoyed the wine more honestly. The atmosphere is like that of a French Garden, easy to get to and hard to leave. Enough seating options, tasting barn, in the garden or on the lawn, to satisfy any preferences. Enough Rosés, sparkling or still, to quench your thirst for Rosé. Enough food choices for a snack or a light meal as in the lobster roll sliders. For me, there is nothing not to like about Croteaux. Like I said to my friends, a bit of a drive and we're in Provence France. Service is always on point and the ladies running this place are "always" very pleasant. I would love to visit again on a weekday afternoon to really be able to relax and sit in their beautiful garden for hours. What a charming little spot. We came here on a cloudy day thinking we would have to fight the crowds. To our pleasant surprise we were able to walk right in. Did the rose and the sparkling rose flight. Some were too sweet or just not my style- but the merlot 3 was perfection. Grabbed a few bottles to go. I love the whole aesthetic of the place especially with the vintage bus parked outside. Me and my three other friends ordered still and sparkling wine tastings with bread and macaroons on the side. I don't really like rosé but sparkling rosé here was pretty good. The only thing that made me put 4 stars instead of 5 was because the staff wasn't really that attentive to us. We had bees attacking our food and we tried waving down the staff to give us a container or something to cover our food. But, none looked our way so we had to make a misfit of napkins to cover it and at the end we couldn't save the food. We arrived around 2/3ish and got our names on the waitlist. The wait was about an hour long and was told they would reach out to use once there was space available for us. The hour went by pretty fast since we had to use the bathroom outside of the venue - so we drove out for a bit and came back right on time for our turn to be seated outdoors. Tables has a decent enough space apart from each other following social distancing guidelines. We were seated promptly - ordered some light bites and rose tasting. While we were waiting for our food/drinks, we walked over by the vineyards to take some pics (masks on until pics are taken). We had the BEST time at Croteaux. It was a picture perfect vineyard, Instagram worthy and we loved the atmosphere. I highly recommend arriving a few minutes before they open because the line never shortened from the time we were seated at 12pm-6pm. Yes, we loved this place so much we stayed the whole day and ditched our original itinerary. There was never a table empty for longer than 5 minutes (First come first serve). Our server recommended the crostini and tomato confit & baguette and herb cheese spread; both were delicious. Croteaux is one of the only vineyards in the U.S. to only serve rosé. Still or sparkling, you'll likely enjoy them all. Merlot 181 was our favorite and during our stay we ordered 6 bottles. If you prefer a light, crisp, and dry rosé, this is for you. read more

Every summer I try to check out a new vineyard I've never been to. This summer I checked out Croteaux based on a friend's recommendation. I was skeptical as I am not a rose' aficionado. In fact, Rose' tends to be my least favorite. This place only serves Rose'. To my surprise I really enjoyed the flight of 6 tastings. My favorites were Jolie and Malbec 181. I enjoyed my wine with delicious macarons. The macarons were great with odd flavors like goat cheese with honey and Brie with apricot. The flavors were absolute perfection. The grounds are beautiful and worth a visit. Absolutely check it out. They don't take reservations so first come first serve. We got there exactly at 12 when they open. When we were leaving we overheard 45 min wait. Parking can be tough too even with the extended parking when it is crowded.I will absolutely be returning here. read more

We spent 3 hours at Croteaux and had a blast! It definitely did get a bit crowded even though we arrived at 12:30, but all parties were safely distanced. I know very little about wine but I loved all of the flights! We also got some light bites that were delicious and simple. The vibe and crowd were also very fun. The tasting area is so beautiful.
