We moved our 2 year old son to Crosswalk Preschool from another daycare because of great comments a friend passed along to us.

We're…read moreso glad that there's a school close to us that not only teaches kids academics but also teaches them moral lessons which I think is the most important. The staff here are great too. They do care about the kids and are very attentive to their emotional and academic needs. One thing that is amazing as well is that it's a small school so the staff knows pretty much all of the children. Ms. Angie and Mrs. Baeckel greet each kid by name and their families during drop offs and pick ups every single day- rain or shine. We really appreciate the extra care and attention because you know they're safe having two pairs of watchful eyes to see who comes in and out of the property. My son also is learning so well. His reading I think is advanced and they teach them how to write in cursive at a young age too. He's made lots of friends and even the parents know each other and are connected as well. I don't think you will get that in a big/public school. We are happy that we enrolled our child here. We will stay for a while.

The King's Academy is an absolute treasure! We are so incredibly thankful to be sending our son…read more(and in a couple of years our daughter as well) to this school! We did a lot of research before deciding where to begin kindergarten, and toured several schools, hoping to find one that stood out above the rest. The King's Academy is it. I can't imagine a better place for an excellent Christian education in the Reno/Sparks area. The staff are wonderful. The teachers are so amazing, experienced, loving, compassionate, and we really can feel how much they truly care for our son. He is having the most wonderful experience. I can honestly say that since my son began attending The King's Academy, he has come into his own genuine, authentic faith. He loves God, he knows God better, he asks so many great questions. Best of all, he tells me all the time now "I love you so much Mom, but I love God more." It is such a comforting feeling to have the utmost confidence in both the quality of the academics, as well as the spiritual environment of the school. We love the smaller class sizes and greater level of attention that the teachers are able to pay to each student, and therefore their enhanced ability to tailor the education to each child's unique needs. I attend chapel every week (parents and families are always welcome to join the students there) and absolutely love it! I love seeing the children having a great time and also receiving such quality, Christ-centered Biblical teaching. It's wonderful. There have been so many times that, unprompted, my son will ask me "Mom, can I please keep going to King's Academy all the way to 8th grade? I love it there!" What more could you want to hear from your child? We cannot recommend The King's Academy enough, it is one of the best decisions we've ever made for our children.

My kids love it here and it is faith based which is a humongous plus for me. Parking can be a little rough when school in session next door or an event is going on, but you can always park at church and walk. Highly recommend. Their staff is amazing. They are able to accommodate students, families, and their needs with kindness. They have great hours and are always welcoming and friendly. The teachers really do love the students, you can tell by the way that they talk about them, interact with them, and they ALWAYS have something nice to say. The price is on the less expensive end, I've paid twice as much (per week) for care at other facilities that were only half as good. The school understands that you are busy professional and won't bother you at work, they are great at handling things on their own and talking to you at YOUR earliest convenience, not theirs. I have recruited several of my mom friends who are unhappy with their child care facilities to jump ship and come over to St. Alberts. They usually have a waiting list, so if you're looking to come here, call early. They have a very homey-family atmosphere and I love that. There are events outside of the school day on the weekends and at the evenings throughout the year that they invite families to, which is nice. If you want your child to be loved like family, take them here. The other children are very kind to their peers and you can tell they foster friendship and camaraderie. The art projects, performances, and centers are always cute and changing. There is no business in Reno that I would recommend higher than St. Albert's CDC. The director and teachers are angels.

Both of my children eventually begged me not to send them back--something no parent wants to hear, especially when reliable childcare is a necessity. I ultimately pulled them out because I couldn't keep sending them somewhere they felt so unhappy and unsupported. After I withdrew them, Champions continued to bill me for the following week--even though my children didn't attend. I informed them via email that they were no longer attending, and requested the billing be stopped. They replied that I needed to go online and manually unregister them. I did so, but they still billed me for that week. I've emailed and called multiple times, with clear documentation, but the charges continue. The communication has been incredibly poor--not just regarding billing, but also in terms of daily care and oversight. Champions advertises that children are given time to complete homework, but my kids told me they were rarely, if ever, given that opportunity. Between the lack of support, ineffective communication, and the ongoing billing issues, I'm extremely disappointed. I'm now paying for a week of care my children never received, just to get them to stop harassing me. I do not recommend this program and hope future families receive better treatment than we did.

Highly recommended.
