We drove in to Shelby super late, and our pickings were slim. The lady at the front desk was super nice, and the rate was reasonable, so we stayed.
When we walked in to our room, it was pretty stinky, but nothing unbearable - maybe they should have just cracked a window for the day or something. "Stuffy" is a good word to describe it.
There was a bit of hair (not mine) on my pillow, but other than that everything was pretty clean and normal. And there was free Wi-Fi!
Exceptional customer service, as the front desk lady went out of her way to get me a corkscrew. They didn't have one in the building, but she took my bottle, ran across the street to her friends at the bar, and opened it up for me! So nice! I really appreciated that!
If i could make one suggestion for the Crossroads Inn, i would say maybe get some apples or bananas added to the (FREE!) Continental Breakfast menu. The bagels and muffins and donuts and cookie bar things were really good, I just think it's better to start the day with fruit. You know?
Also - the TV in the room was really really small, but i don't feel right complaining about that. It worked perfectly, and there was a million channels, so it's all good! read more
