The Mentor Salvation Army Thrift Store is a good place to grab some good deals on clothing and also…read moreoccasionally other items. Located on the East Side of Mentor near the Walmart you will find a big store well stocked with clothes and household goods. Every week they have one color that is 50% off and if you can make it on a Wednesday all colors except for one is 50% off. For the clothing and most other items they have gone to a pricing system where all items in a category are the same price, i.e. all shirts are $4.99. The majority of the store is clothing with a good sized men's department and a larger women's department. The racks are usually well organized you can find what you want without too much trouble. What I would like is for the price lists to be more prominently posted around the store. Over the years I have found some very nice suit jackets and button-down shirts at this store. Occasionally I have found some good pairs of shoes and other clothing items. The rest of the store includes a small selection of furniture, kitchenware, art and other items. Most of these items are a bit lower quality or are priced a bit too high for my preferences. I do shop these items, but it has been a while since I have found anything worth buying. Mentor Salvation Army Thrift is a good thrift store, mainly for clothing. The store is a bit rundown, but the staff is nice and do keep the store well organized. Good for wardrobe staples but you have to shop carefully to find any real gems.

Some of the previous reviews most definitely lack common sense and thrifting etiquette. This location was clean, well-stocked, and had a great soundtrack to shop to. I can't speak to the condition of the bathrooms at this location. Allegedly, they are atrocious? The store itself was easily navigatable. All of the items were clearly marked by section and size. The housewares were all color coded, which was a nice touch. The staff was friendly, and check out was a breeze. The prices were average, and they offer $5 off once you reach the $50 threshold. I'm not sure if that's a limited deal or all of the time? Overall, many of the previous reviews are highly suspect. I recommend this location and will be returning. I also ended up with a great resale haul!

Me and my friend saw this hello Kitty Build-A-Bear sitting in the back and we asked a worker if we…read morecould buy it and if they could price it the worker said they have to talk to the manager. He brought his manager. The manager was picking it up, then went to the back, then grabbed her phone, then looked it up and said we had to send this to the website since it's over $150 BAB. and that we couldn't purchase it from the Goodwill. Mind you we're not resellers were literally just normal people looking around the Goodwill to look for good items. And she looked at us with a smiley face after saying that we can't purchase it this Goodwell needs to change its rules. This is absolutely ridiculous trying to sell a blush animal for 100+ dollars. Which they get for free since people donate to their store and I was trying to get this for my little cousin which is her birthday soon and she loves hello Kitty and that is why we wanted to get it for her . And this happened today.

We were pleasantly surprised with the large space and inventory. I would agree that somethings may have been overpriced while others seemed like a bargain. However, when we went to the register, the cashier let us know that all the items were actually way less expensive than we thought. To go even further, they did a buy one get one free on a brand new in the box dining room ceiling light which we couldn't pass up. I will be returning!

Habitat Restore is such a great place in general and I was really happy with this location. Let's start with the parking lot. Although it is a bit tight, the traffic all goes in one direction which is super helpful and the entrance to the building is stairs but there's also a ramp going in, which makes this place handicap accessible and easy to bring home rolling or heavy things from the store. Upon entering the store, I noticed that there are huge signs hanging from the ceiling telling you where things are located which made navigating through the warehouse easy peasy. I was on a mission and immediately found what I was looking for. I talked with a staff member who was friendly and was delighted as two customers who happened to be leaving at the same time as I was, helped me bring my stuff to the car. Bonus! I will be visiting here regularly until I find a dresser for my husband and a lounge chair that I love for our spacious living room. Great place.
