The offered me a dollar per silver war nickel , and they are selling at $3.18 now with silver prices as high as they are currently. I regularly visit Cross road coins, but not because of great customer service or even the feeling of being treated fairly. In fact I return knowing I will probably be treated as an inconvenience or even an annoyance for one reason. They have an x-ray machine. Occasionally I accept the insulting offer they make for the gold and silver I've worked hard to recover, but only so I can continue to have the compositions and purity of my precious metal's checked for me, usually at no charge if they think your are going to accept any offer they give. read more

I recently visited the store to sell a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet. I am new in town and was told to try this disgusting establishment. I took with me the original paperwork /receipt that had the purchase price of $10,000 and the total carat weight of STONES and a clear description of the bracelet...the man who was working was nasty to me and looked me in the eye, offered me "maybe $300.00 as they are chips." I was dumbfounded ....I then went to a reputable jeweler then confirmed that in fact they were NOT chips but in fact, very clear and beautiful STONES...he said that Vandalia Coin is known for ripping people off and to steer clear and I would advise everyone else to as well. I wondered why she was waiting on customers because she lacked all the skills necessary to develop any good customer relations. I walk into Crossroad coins (wearing a mask) I ask, Are masks required? A woman NOT wearing a mask barks "YES!" This place sucks! They were extremely rude acting as if they have no time for a customer or willingness to answer simple common questions without signs of being irritated such as short condescending answers and tapping of feet, fingers, and pen in sync with this. Every interaction with these people was like pulling teeth from grumpy old men. Before leaving after a small purchase the local police even showed up seemingly at random or for a standard closing time check up for such a store. however i couldn't help but think in the back of my mind that the police were summoned due to the fact I was there near close, and because I have tattoos i feel I may have been discriminated against without cause. I cannot prove this. Regardless these guys were awful and had a lousy selection for a full on coin shop anyway . I assume much of their business is done dealing online and so they don't have time for the average Joe that doesn't roll in the shop with a fat wad to blow looking like a sucker. The shop is cluttered and the military clothing and war memorabilia is mediocre at best. They have more high end cameras in there than the NSA. Dont waste your time or money here, even if you manage to find something worth buying somewhere else then if you buy there you will leave wishing you'd not giving these cranky prunes your hard earned money. read more
