I admit, I'm a bit neurotic. And I have a tremendously difficult time trusting someone with a task…read morethat, albeit is completely out of my hand, I still wish I could control. Such as renting a U-Haul. I needed a 10-foot truck for a big party at the end of August so that I could transport 25 tables. I made a reservation for a truck online in July. As soon as that reservation went through and I got a confirmation email (this was all within ten or so minutes), I - distrusting of technology - called the location in which I was going to be picking up the truck (Pleasant Hill Auto Sales) to confirm with them that they were seeing in their system that I had just made a reservation. They confirmed. They let me know that the system defaulted me to a different location, but they saw that I had specifically requested their location, and would make appropriate changes to make sure there were absolutely no mistakes. I called back the next day to make sure they had done this. They had. I was all set. I called back the next week to make sure we were all set. I was. I called back the week after that to make sure we were all set. I was. I called the week before my party to make sure we were all set. I was. I arrived to pick up my tables at the time I was told to do so. No truck. They had never heard of me. They had never seen a confirmation for a truck. They couldn't help me whatsoever. It was like living in a parallel universe. So I called the U-Haul reservation customer service line and explained to them the situation. They put me on hold so that they could call Pleasant Hill Auto Sales themselves to confirm with them that not only had I made a reservation, that they were supposed to have a truck on their property. The customer service rep came back to let me know that "they were completely unhelpful" and had absolutely no idea what she or I was talking about. Unacceptable. To the gentleman who I spoke with at Pleasant Hill Auto Sales - I know this wasn't your fault; as you said, this was only your third week on the job. You were very patient with me, and I appreciate that. But... I can't recommend your place as a U-Haul pick-up location because you can't actually provide trucks to people who have reservations. No!

Screwed me and couldn't have cared less. Rented 10' Uhaul in early December for 1-way trip to NYC…read more Needed smallest available truck for NYC streets. In Jan, the day before pick, I called to confirm and adjust pick up time. The guy I talked to told me that I was all set. An hour later I get confirmation e-mail. Reviewing it, I noticed I now was renting a 20' truck. I called again. The guy said that -- despite having rented a 10' truck a month ago and despite not telling me this fact when we were talking an hour earlier -- they had no 10' truck for me. I asked whether there were nearby Uhaul locations that might have 10' trucks and whether he could get me one by the next day. He said "yes" there were nearby Uhauls that probably had them and "yes" he could get one for me, "no" he was not going to do it. Screwed me and couldn't have cared less.

Horrible, shamefully abysmal customer service, quality control and communication from GM Brandi…read moreLawler and her team. I paid $1500 for Scott Joys to conduct an end-to-end inspection prior to purchasing my vehicle in August, when it passed with flying covers. Upon receipt, the vehicle was inoperative -- issues as simple as broken windshield washers to a dead chassis battery. Dealership took the vehicle for 4 MONTHS to "make it right" and to say they have failed to do so is putting it lightly. I couldn't get a reply via email or phone from anyone on the team, so I had to show up at the office unannounced to get an update. Even that was useless; I came to retrieve it 12/19 as agreed, and immediately identified a new leak in the roof, a broken valve, and rodent droppings throughout the vehicle. I was promised an update from service manager Michael Street by the morning of 12/23, which never happened. I have been unable to get an update from him or anyone on the team, and I have learned via their voicemails that they are out of office through next week, leaving me stranded on Christmas 1,500 miles from home with nowhere to stay, no vehicle and separated from my family. I have no idea when -- and zero faith that -- my vehicle will be ready to take home, and I've spent months waiting for an answer and a fix I've now realized won't come. I wouldn't recommend this branch OR brand to an enemy.

I have to say that purchasing this vehicle was by far the worst experience I have ever had…read more Promises were made that were never kept. It really all started the morning that I was supposed to drive down. I live just over two hours north. I got a text saying the vehicle I was coming down to get had already been sold. But I was assured that if I came down to look at the other vehicles, they would definitely find one that worked. When I arrived, all that was available was a vehicle that was one year older and was a few thousand dollars more expensive. I felt captured and trapped and tricked. I was told to return my leased vehicle down the road to Toyota and then come back and get the new vehicle. When I returned after turning in my leased vehicle, I'm now two hours away from home with no vehicle. That was the time when things started to fall apart. I was discriminated against because I wanted to register and title the vehicle on my own and in the name of my company. I was told that they couldn't sell me a vehicle unless they were the ones who registered it because I own a company located in Montana. I guess they thought I was some kind of scam. Even though I brought in my companies information. After several hours of going through this, I finally was trapped into signing the paperwork. It was now well past closing and nobody really cared. They just wanted me gone. I had noticed an error in my credit report and asked if they would redo it and they said no and that everybody's closed. We can't redo it so I wound up getting an interest rate of over 11%. With a credit score of 804. Which caused my payment to go up significantly. As well as extending the length of the loan. But again, I was trapped and they were all ready to shut down the office for the evening. The major excuse I got was that the people above me said I can't do it. That started from the salesman he said I couldn't do it because his sales manager would not allow it. Then the sales manager said no because his superiors or the general manager or assistant general manager, or the finance department said that he couldn't do it. I honestly don't know if it's Mercedes as a corporation or just this location. But either way, I'll never do business there again. Bradley C
