Fun fact about me: my VERY FIRST yoga class…read morewas at Bombay, at a different location with another (amazing) owner and instructor. 15 years ago, omg!! I didn't return until about 10 years ago. I loved it so much I used to work at the front desk in exchange for classes. Sadly I moved too far away and couldn't attend classes very often. The studio went under new ownership, and made some aesthetic changes which I found very nice. The studio is still very clean and homey, as well as organized. I can't speak for all classes or instructors, of course. But tonight I took beginners with Melody who has been there for at least 10 years. She is the real deal! An amazing yoga teacher who can break down poses anatomically, but also has an amazing spiritual presence. I'd be there every week if I lived closer.

I can honestly say this yoga studio has been one of the most unexpectedly transformative…read moreexperiences I've had. I originally started coming because I felt like I simply needed to stretch more, but what I found here goes far beyond stretching. Each class feels like a complete reset -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's the kind of holistic wellness experience you don't realize you need until you actually go through it. As a medical professional, I deeply appreciate the level of knowledge all of the instructors have when it comes to human anatomy. You can tell the teaching here is rooted in years of study and real understanding of how the body moves, heals, and strengthens. That makes a huge difference, and it's something I personally value a lot when choosing where to practice. The atmosphere in the studio stays very authentic to traditional teaching styles, which creates a calm, grounded environment the moment you walk in. The staff is always friendly, approachable, and welcoming, and the space itself is very comfortable with a large parking lot, reasonable pricing, and plenty of class times that make it easy to fit into a busy schedule. Philip is an amazing teacher. His depth of knowledge, years of practice, and ability to explain movement in a way that makes sense -- and even makes it fun -- is truly special. You can feel how much experience he brings into every 90-minute class, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for more than just a workout. This is real yoga, taught by people who truly understand the body, the mind, and the practice.

First time trying Yoga!…read more What a lovely place to have my first experience. From the time I walked through the door, up the beautiful steps lined with candles..... I was impressed. The check in desk is where I was greeted by the owner Susan! She offers yoga mats & towels for a very small fee. I noticed some super cute clothing and jewelry for sale. While I waited to sign in I glanced over to my right...... I enjoyed the lovely white curtains as they caught the wind, blowing in and out. The actual studio was like being in a retreat away from all of the hustle and bustle of the real world. The floors, the inspirational quote on the wall & the basic/simple ambiance! The class was enjoyable & the stretches felt really good! Susan was fabulous! She definitely interacts around the class to ensure this newbie was doing it right! I felt comfortable and proud that I was doing this! At the close of class i will mention that she placed nice cool cloths lightly sprayed with lavender across our eyes as we lay there absorbing all of the positive vibes that surrounded us. Very nice touch as I do LOVE my essential oils!!! Her studio was very clean & I definitely noticed all of the love & passion that was put into creating this wonderful space! Thank you Susan for sharing your gift with others!

The studio offers a great deal of classes every day, and now they have added two late night (8pm) classes during the week that are perfect for my more often than not crazy schedule. I've taken classes with 4 of the instructors so far, and they all have been absolutely wonderful. I have been particularly addicted to the Yin classes, since a bout of anxiety a few months ago made me realize I needed to slow down my pace a little and let go. Of all the studios I've been to in Broward and Palm Beach, I honestly feel that PS is the best there is out there. The energy and vibe of the location, the genuine care that each instructor gives all their students, and of course the variety of options for all levels and different styles of practice; all of this, and that intangible je ne sais quoi makes PS Yoga Studios #1 in my book. Love, love, love!

Huge shoutout to Lizzie, Alexis, and Genny--they each bring great energy, keep you motivated, and make every class enjoyable. A little tip: bring plenty of water and have some electrolytes beforehand--it definitely helps with the intense sweat session! One thing to note is that you if go to any Barkan studio, the classes are not transferable so the class I have for their Boca Raton studio can't be used here, but the nice thing about it is if there is any new member special, they'll let you take part in it. I purchased their, "Groupon" special which was for $39 you get 5 classes that have to be used in two months. The classes range from typically 60 minutes to 75 minutes. Barkan specializes in buckram yoga in which the room averages about 102 degrees so if this is your first time- bring water and lots of towels because you're going to sweat. The instructors will walk you through the series of poses, working with you if you have any heath issues which hinder your flexibility or maybe you're like me and just aren't that flexible at all and need help. They will let you use their bricks during class to help ease the positions. You can also rent mats, purchase water, and clothing there as well. My instructor Amanda was great and really pushed you to the limit, but you felt amazing afterward. I worked so hard in the class that I almost fell asleep immediately when I got home.
