People working out were just sitting on their phones and almost no one washed the machines after use or unracked their weight. I don't want to feel uncomfortable at this gym and was considering upgrading my membership but I certainly would rather pay for the golds gym that's 2 minutes away with more amenities

They work with you individually to learn the workouts. They modify the workouts to allow you to not feel overwhelmed with all the new exercises. I've never really done much with free weights so I had (have) a lot to learn and the coaches make it a pleasure. The place is not fancy by any stretch but if you want to get in shape check it out!!!! The owner Frank is a gem, from day 1 he and his wife have always been supportive and always over deliver to their members. This gym is a place where people of all ages, fitness levels and body types get together to workout. I love the attitude and support of the community. I remember my first few months just wanting to stick to myself and get in and get out but it's just impossible! The staff is super helpful, friendly and they really genuinely make you believe that anyone can do it! But not in just a pipe dream but reality. I used to run a 14 minute mile in now down to under 9! If you have seen a Crossfit video, meme, joke and roll your eyes at the thought of Crossfit and the "Bro" culture that comes it it don't worry this place is not that.
