THIS work out has by far made me the most excited to go to,... I mean... I can drop my bar here?? With weights... On the floor?? And I won't get in trouble? Lol. I know, that's silly, but after two months of being careful not to drop my bar, I'm now learning it's ok for the sake of the completion of a movement. Sweet!! Makes me feel a little bad ass when I hear the heavy weights fall too. Haha. But back to the workout and gym... I can definitely say I have the CrossFit bug! I was slightly unsure of it for years and never understood the "kipping" thing, but I get it now. I feel stronger and stronger every week, shoot... Sometimes the next day. But I know it's not only because of my own motivation. The instructors are solid. They take their time to make sure everyone focuses on their form and doesn't get hurt; from the rookies like myself to the people who have done CrossFit for years. We are all still learning on some level and that's a great feeling. They know when you can kick it up a notch and fully understand if you need to modify to prevent injury. The overall cleanliness of the gym is... Well... It's a gym... There's gonna be some sweat here and there. People are good about putting away their stuff after using them and the only thing you may notice here and there is the little pieces that shed off of the rope when they're being used. Their website is always up to date providing your results for reference and giving you the next day's workout at midnight. Their email communication is great too! They aren't spammy but still keep us all informed. And finally... Even when the classes are big, there's always enough space and enough equipment for everyone. Thanks to my Mr for introducing me to the place and thank you to the whole Brink Nation for keeping me eager for another WOD!

I have to say I was uneducated about crossfit and thought it was for body builders only, so not true!!! Anyways my first experience with a certain crossfit was horrible!!!! I wont mention the name but it was also in Kendall and very close to home. I did see positive changes in my body but the attitude I received the bestie and I decided we were definitely not continuing with that a hole. Anyhow so bestie finds this one. Of course we come in a little nervous to see what kind of attitude these guys bring. Absolutely NONE. These guys take their time, explain things as many times as u need too in order to get it. They watch you and help you if they see you doing something wrong or if you begin to slack. I had an accident and really messed up my back and these guys were still willing to work with me and give me other exercises to do if I couldn't do the scheduled workout. These guys really care and push you to do better. After the groupon expires bestie and I really plan on staying cause there just a great group of trainers who I know will help build up our strength and confidence. I can handle a lot of classes like boot camp, light-weight training, and spinning with ease. I chose to do crossfit because I wanted to try something new and challenging .... And IMT is just that. There are 101 classes that teach you proper form so you don't cause any injury to yourself. ALL the coaches are extremely knowledgable at what they do and not to mention correct you when you don't do the movements right and help you when you have questions and of course are approachable. After a month I feel stronger. I even do handstands when I thought I couldn't do it, on handstands day the coach said to me "lets try!"... Which is super encouraging! There are 10 classes M-F & 3 on Saturday so there is no excuse not to go. I feel that another yelper gave this business unfairly only 1 star when he didn't even go and use the services from this business - only made a phone call to who knows where. All the times that I have called IMT I have had my questions answered with the upmost courtesy from the women and the men who pick up the phone. And yes they do accept $115/month specials :0)

Crunch fitness in North Tampa, a less populated area had a larger gym and three times the amount of freeways ... and all of them were religiously put back either by members or staff were here. They put white signs up on white paper on white poles nowhere near the weights for anyone to see them to be re-racked... the staff and the management don't care and flat out said LA Fitness would not do anything about these problems. I paid $300 to start this gym on a family membership for first last and an annual fee which is an absolute joke. ... they're charging you an annual fee before you're even there for the first year..... so I paid $300 to not be able to use free weights and to trip overweight while trying to find weights to use. And because of how busy the gym is at all times of the day, you will never get a real good workout in unless your plan is just do cardio. When I did complain to the GM, he made me wait while he was on a conference call with his boss who I heard him hang up with after he told me that boss was out of town, but he was just on a conference call with him.... I am the chief operating officer of a multimillion dollar international company. If it disgruntled customer called me while I'm on a board call I'm gonna tell the CEO and the rest of the board that I need to deal with a disgruntled customer and hang up immediately. He had me waiting for 20 minutes and then sent over a sales manager who essentially told me he had to wait for that guy anyway ..... And I did watch some of the employees so I try to have a conversation with the front desk looking at me and my wife as we tried to work out waiting for the manager and they were laughing.... After all three of them turned and looked at me and my wife. If you're looking for a real gym, this is not the place to go. It's overpriced, poorly staffed, poor equipment, and poor spacing for anyone to have a quality out. And I reached out to two vice presidents on LinkedIn and neither of them in the last 35 hours have called me back ... because they don't care.... The customer service in Miami has always been terrible, but this is just putrid... no wonder it has less than 2 1/2 stars and clearly LA Fitness or their general manager don't care..., that should tell you all you need to know... A real gym has signs on the glass in front of a dumbbells, not 15 feet away on a pole .... A real Jim tells their members you get two warnings if you're not re-racking your weights after that your membership is revoked and that didn't happen here and isn't happening here.
